Unbelievably hyped for this, Gareth Edwards I love you! Though I understand why some people are off put by the mutant Dinosaur, but I love it and think it fits perfectly with JP's themes.
Agreed, really the original dinosaurs from JP were mutants because they look not really anything like the actual dinosaur counterparts did, and regardless of how they look they ain’t even 100% dinosaur

exactly. swrve wants to be different so bad by being basically the only jurassic TH-camr to not like rebirth. heck, he’s the only jurassic TH-camr to LIKE Dominion, so that tells me all I need to know.
The mutants will be an interesting investment for the franchise, if the fans hate them, the franchise will probaly scrap that idea in the next movie, if its a success, then theres a good chance the mutants will feature in future movies and possibly feature in camp cretaceous. 👀
Well it makes sense, every human invention has taken trial and error to achieve perfection. So having mutated dinosaurs makes a lot if sense as failure before perfection.

Isla Sorna was said to be the PRODUCTION island for dinosaurs, that was where the bulk of them were made for the park, but this island is the research center were they were originally made

I’m pretty sure the flying reptiles aren’t quetzals but actually hatzegopteryx. It’s lower to the ground, stockier with a shorter neck and a more bulky head.
here's hoping, it is considered to be the heavier of the two species, so it might be considered the 'biggest' from that angle

As for the Islands in canon, I think this Island may be the first research lab but Isla Sorna is where the break through of cloning a accurate dinosaur in their universe. And this Island is where the mistake happened with the big beast. I thinks the opening of the movie will show the incident that ends up ending ingen's time on the island with that scene with the guy and beast in the red room. At the same time the break through at Isla Sorna takes place and becomes the main factory floor for Jurassic Park. And up until Hurricane Clorissa ingen would just dump all their Isla Sorna mistakes here at this Island while keeping it off the books. Not even Simon knew about it.
The Titanosaurus design and color scheme is based on the kaiju Titanosaurus from the early Godzilla films of the same name. Cool to know that Gareth Edwards is still showing love to the Godzilla franchise.

10:04 I don’t think this is a retcon but more of an “untold secret” of somewhat within the universe. Because some of the dinosaurs on Sorna were eventually brought to Nublar, which may be why it was referred to as the original research facility. But Hammond being Hammond probably wanted this island to be forgotten completely from history and existence because of what was on it and how everything looked, unlike Sorna which he openly told people about, and it was known to the public to a certain extent. So it does make sense how Sorna was always known as the “original research facility” because it was the first to bring dinosaurs to Nublar, but ultimately, this new island was the first to “Rebirth” dinosaurs ever, if that makes sense.
Yea that would make sense, people and companies in real life keep information a secret all the time, I feel like it's completely possible that the Rebirth island was just ANOTHER source of dinosaurs for Jurassic Park, operating at the same time as Sorna, but because of the abominations that were bred there, Hammond decided to keep it a secret to not scare potential investors with how bad dinosaur cloning can go wrong
That doesn’t explain all the scientists who testify the original cloning taking place on Sorna. Charlotte also being one of them as seen in Dominion… also in JP3 it proved they were made there
Furthermore, the island being leased out and operations taking place need to be approved by the governing bodies who own that island
@@Frydee123I agree, and it also makes you wonder what was Henry Wu’s involvement. Like did he create these or was he brought in after. He could have been the one to tell Hammond to abandon this island in the first place. And it could be the reason why he was so keen on making them look “unnatural” and “perfect”

I mean what I hope is the mutant wasn't a failed hybrid and was made on purpose but was the first ever attempt at making a dinasour by Hammond and it went wrong maybe over using DNA or the wrong DNA as it looks like the legs are like a brachiasaurus so maybe they were trying to make one and were using different types of DNA to match before the tree frog one was found out to work perfectly

The “quetzacoatlus” COULD be a Hatzegopteryx or something of the sort, but the insane contrast of jp3 and jwr’s spinosaurs makes me think it may not be something else.
I honestly feel like this already looks a hell of a lot better than the last two films.

Nah, I personally would like to, but judging by the body shape, it's definitely not, they're very different.
So I don't think there is a retcon here but rather an addition to canon. What I think this island was is the original laboratory where they tested the DNA and tried to create species. Once they perfected that process they moved the functional and safe species to Sorna for mass production and eventually to Nublar. That's the way it seems to be playing to me.
Jurassic World Dominion implies that the science and technology was brand new to InGen in 1986, on Isla Sorna.

I don't know, I mean there is two species of Quetzalcoatlus. Northropi was the larger species and Lawsoni was a smaller species. So the Quetz in Rebirth could be the Lawsoni smaller species. Also, the island may not be a retcon necessarily. It could be that this new island was never meant to be discovered as InGen were doing something more sinister than what is featured in any of the other movies. While Isla Sorna was the factory floor, perhaps this new island was something before it, something after the basement laboratory at Lockwood mannor, an island where they were first trying to perfect their cloning technology.
The aesthetic of this trailer really reminds me of the 2015 Raw Thrills Jurassic Park Arcade Game...

The dinos in Dominion are “current gen” BioSyn animals. These are “first gen” InGen animals. Two different companies and procedures. That’s an easy explanation for the physical discrepancies between the animals.
For that mutant we may have a more O P dinosaur then the indominus Rex

Sorna was the testing grounds yes, but that doesn't mean it was the first, nothing is being retconned, this is the first, then they abandoned it, and set up camp on sorna and nublar, and used sorna

The Quetzes in Dominion were made by biosyn, these ones are not, again, not a retcon, and pescetarian is still carnivorus, I don't remember them ever saying they only ate fish in the film tho, but it is likly they nabbed small land animals as well
The D-Rex looks pretty cool imo, I just want it for the next JWE game since lets be honest, thats what we're all mostly excited for with these new dinos.

10:21 Sorna was the BREEDING facility, where they made all the dinosaurs for the Park with the perfected methods. This is where they perfected those methods, doing experiments and whatnot. That’s why the species look and act so different, and why this island wasn’t mentioned before. It’s a secret experimental testing ground, and because of that was kept secret (similar to the Lockwood Manor).

10:05 Oh I thought sight B was where they grew the dinosaurs and housed them before they go to the main park on Isla Nublar. I assumed this was the island where it all began, the first experiments before they got it right and moved to site b which was more of a reserve for the dinosaurs.

Hear me out: what if the mutant isn’t actually aggressive-at least not towards humans? Maybe precisely because it has a small part of human in it? In the trailer, apart from the more secondary scene with the sauropods, every single dinosaur attacks the protagonists mercilessly. The mutant, however, isn’t shown doing so. I get that it’s an abomination, but it moves rather slowly, doesn’t it? Even when it seems to be chasing the humans, it doesn’t look like it’s desperate to kill them or in a rush to do so, right? I’ll probably be proven wrong by the movie itself, but if you think about it, it’s an interesting idea.
Notice the surroundings and the case containing the double head raptor. Its spot clean and the case is even shinny, I bet this is a flash back scene as well. I also noticed that the scene with the raptor claws under the desk never showed that raptor. Wonder if its the 2 headed raptor.
I really don’t want people to ruin this movie for me, or in that matter anyone else who’s a fan. I just wanna sit down in the theater and watch the movie without high expectations. A lot of times the actual movie will turn out better than some trailers

Something I noticed is that in every first trailer for every film you see the full raptor. However you don’t in this one, so the one we see the feet for has to be the 2 headed raptor.

So far, I’m pretty happy with all of the creature designs in this movie, the only one I don’t really like is the Quetzalcoatlus, it’s not that the design itself is bad, it’s just that the design in Dominion was perfect, their was nothing that needed to be changed, if this was any other pterosaur I would be happy with the design, but this is not my favourite Quetzalcoatlus.

I thought the dilophosaurus scene was possibly how it woke up the sleeping trex that looks to be behind her. And then she has to grab a boat and run into the river?

The thing i noticed through the trailer, is it seems all the dinos have adapted to living with this "hybrid" through either grouping up like the 3 spinos and mossa, bite on spino fin could be from the d-rex, or by hidding/camouflage(like the t rex or the quetzal nesting in cave instead of on high peak in the open). Just my take.

1:40 I think someone can easy say they had copies or the designs in company storage like in a hard drive or something. Let’s not forget they had plans for Asian and Europe and HQ in san Diego (correct on that last one, might be wrong)

The ONLY way that I could see the research lab thing not being a retcon is if this was the original research facility for the San Diego amphitheater before Hammond decided to go to the Muertes archipelago.

Titanosaurus actually was no where near being the largest creatures to walk the earth, being only about 30 feet or so, and being a little taller than a giraffe. They should be smaller than every other sauropod featured in the Jurassic series.

I think you might have missed something, I think at 20:59, that looks like one of Darius’s deaths in hidden adventure, that death being from the mosasaurus. I miss hidden adventure
I'm really excited for this film. I don 't think they are retconning anything. I think this place was kept secret and off the books for a reason.
So what I get from the trailer is that the lore is not the dinosaurs that are moving to the equatorial area, but rather a new island with its own dinosaurs that are already there. I might be wrong tho
And about the Spinosaurus' design, imagine if their first Spinosaurus creation has pretty accurate look, but since in that year the scientific look of Spino is like the one in JP3 they dump the 3 Spinosaurus, and later on in modern day the scientific look of Spino is the one they had already created😂

One thing I want to point out in the scene with the Dilo, you can see the Rex sleeping in the bushes behind the woman. If you look to the left of the woman you can make out the neck and head of the Rex. So the Rex isn’t roaring but actually yawning instead from being woken up by the Dilo.

Bro they messed up the titanosaurus! Wrong posture, wrong limb/neck/tail proportions, ugly sails, no osteoderms, and they made the thing like 5 times bigger than it should be!
