  • It's always nice to catch up. One of the more graceful and talented voices in music today makes her second appearance on IUF, as we are proud to welcome back frontwoman Fabienne Erni from Swiss folk-metal giants, Eluveitie! Fabi took the time to sit with us during the band's recent tour stop in Dallas, TX. Alongside Seven Spires and Omnium Gatherum, this tour had all the excitement for any melodic death metal fan. We talk to Fabi about returning to Texas, tour essentials while on the road, her fans, and the exciting future for both Eluveitie and Illumishade (Fabi's other band). And last but not least: This tour is significant for many reasons, and the biggest is Eluveitie performing on this tour without their frontman, Chrigel Glanzmann. While this was all a last-minute circumstance, Fabi took the lead for the first time with Eluveitie and the result was nothing short of spectacular. The fans all packed in to each of the show dates as Fabi and Eluveitie displayed some of the bands best live performances to date. One of her biggest steps in her career proved to be a tipping point, and while the band performed well in Chrigel's honor and absence, this only proved Fabi's leadership to be insanely well-rounded and has more than placed her as one of the top frontwomen in the heavy metal world. Kudos to you Fabi, Eluveitie, and the entire tour. Tune in now and be sure to stream the newest singles from Eluveitie, titled “Aidus” and “Exile Of The Gods,” as they are set to release new music very soon!

Saw her and the band a month ago (they been on my bucket list for a long time). Was absolutely amazing. I was a little bummed that Chrigel was absent at first, but after the first song I was in heaven. The supporting acts were really good and covered his vocals well. Seven Spires is definitely a band to keep an eye on too, they were awesome, wish they were given a longer set.
Will be attending all future shows when they come through town.
    Also, nice interview mate :)
