The soundtrack and court graphics were what I miss most about this game other than the nostalgia in general. Everything else was mid compared to the level of detail and quality we’re getting now

Back when you could actually make a superstar myplayer. Also the system wasn't setup to force build mistakes, so you have to keep making new characters
They do that on purpose so if you don't know what you're doing and make mistakes you'll have to pay more vc to make one

Never had the next gen version (playing on PC), but I've played 2K14 for 8 years and with mods (like UBR for example), the game is playable even to this day especially with it's mechanics.
But damn, Next gen 2K14's graphics are so amazing! Even better compared to some of the 2Ks after it (Definitely better graphics than 17 - 20).

Attention youngsters......NBA 2K7 was fire too. The road to the EBC was a Streetball My Career mode, then after the final stage you got drafted in the league to play for the NBA and continue your career. You had a rival too, waay before Jackson Ellison😂😂. NBA 2K4 and 2K5 were fire too !

The game was truly the best looking 2K we’ve ever seen. Every arena felt different due to the attention to detail down to the lighting. Pair that up with quick fluid movement that wasn’t exactly real life feeling. That’s what made that shit fun it was arcade I don’t get on a video game to do shit I can do I on the real court I get on to have fun and run win streak up. This game was absolutely genius. Miss it so much.

I'm only recently learning that 2k14 was apparently loved by many. This was actually my least favorite 2k because of how many glitches I used to get (e.g. randomly being forced to hold the ball while trying to inbound, causing a 5 sec violation) on top of the fact that you couldn't create players.
The best 2k of all time, this game made me fall in love with 2k

It is way better than what we have nowadays one of the last 2ks I've enjoyed in a while it was better than 2k17 2k18 2k19 2k20 2k21 current gen 2k23 and most definitely 2k24 back when we had the complete freedom to create whatever player we wanted to now 2k charges you an arm and a leg to play the game and then another leg to make a player its a shame you can't play the game for more than an hour and then you turn it completely off 2k just isnt the same its sad greed ruined a great franchise
