Lies of P makes me so happy, not only because it’s a fantastic game, but now we have things to look forward to in soulsborne genre that are GOTY material and not just from “from software”

It's good to see a year where there are so many possible GOTYs for people and not just 1-2 that would definitely take it. Also glad that Max and the doods have enjoyed Lethal Company enough to where they'll be going back to it again and again for the time being because it's such a fun game to watch as a viewer.
Well 1-2 definitely were above the others in terms of quality and industry pushing, but we had a ALOT of great games. It’s impressive when the low balls of the year are Spiderman and AC6 lol. Pretty grand.
Played through Lies of P 3 times for all the endings, and I never once felt like I was getting bored. The fact that there are additional unlocks in ng+ and ng++ kept it fresh
Can I just say how amazing it is how this is the year that the survival/horror genre has been slowly reviving itself? Resident Evil 4 Remake, Dead Space Remake, Alan Wake II, and now Alone In The Dark and Silent Hill 2 Remake coming this year? Horror fans are eating good.
I don't see any chance of Silent Hill 2 turning out well, since even the ONE trailer we saw over a year ago seemed to totally miss the point in many ways.
I hope they going back to the root of alone in the dark instead of modern apocalypse nonsense.. its the game that inspiring Resident Evil franchise after all.. long before RE even existed.
Game devs feeling relief Square didn’t release Rebirth this year because we all know that’ll be Max’s GOTY 😂 Hi-Fi Rush was such a breath of fresh air, and the Jet Set Radio nostalgia is very much alive and real.
DLC is confirmed, sequel is more than probable (especially between the success of the game and the ending of the game), and there's even talk about a TV show or a movie.
Facts man. The gameplay is too good, the ng+ and ++ implementation is satisfying, the audio is unreal, and that story is cake. Really looking forward to the future of Armored Core!
Man I loved so many games this year. What an insane year for games. BG3 is my favorite though. I grew up playing Baldur’s Gate, Planescape: Torment, and Arcanum. BG3 made me feel like a kid again but improved on the crpg formula in almost every way.
I still haven’t played that yet. I want to but idk I’m not particularly a fan of games with a 100+ hour long story. It’s hard for me to stay fully invested when a story is that expansive you know what I mean? I kinda prefer games you can knock out in like 20-50 hours or so. A 100 hour game would take me months to get through cus of work and that’s what holds me back from trying it. I have 2 friends that keep trying to convince me though lol they love it
@@jeremyroberts8822 I totally hear you about the length. Games that large and daunting and there’s definitely something to be said for a tight 30-50 hour story. Especially with work and family. It took me almost 4 times as long for me to finish the game as it did for my buddies. 🤣
I have a voice acting background and have to say that Yuri Lowenthal's voice has been such an inspiration for me since the Prince of Persia Trilogy. His performance in Spidey is amazing. The vocal training was really tough, sometimes without noticeable results for months but actors like him and the late Kevin Conroy are a great impulse to not give up. You almost saw me as Leon in those new RE games :)
Tears of the Kingdom, Baldur's Gate 3 and Resident Evil 4 remake are my favorite games of the year by far. If you include Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty that's up there too.
FF16 is easily game of the year.. best game has to have the best story, best characters and best combat.. no other game has that but FF16..doesn't matter if its not a perfect game, no other game was on that epic level tier..Max is not epic so he wouldn't rank it high.. he's a buttom smasher that had no friends in middle school playing street fighter while drinking chocolate milk..anyone with any creative or gaming mind would recognize what a well balanced and epic game looks like that has replayability for years to come

It looks cool but it lacks depth and gets extremely repetitive. Plus the complete lack of any rpg systems, boring side quests, dull environments, and bad pacing especially in the middle really bring it down.
I didn't really play new games this year but my two favorite by far that I completed and got the Platinum trophies in were Yoku's Island Express and MediEvil Remake.
I gotta give it to RE4 man. I’ve put easily 100 playthroughs in it this year. I’ve gone back and played the og after and i think i enjoy playing the remake more. I think Salazar and Saddler were done better in the og, but everything else was stellar. I don’t even have complaints about Ada. I didn’t dislike her performance. Mercenaries mode is so damn fun to just play a round of before bed. There’s no limit to the praise i could give it
That’s so real I love everything in re4 remake except salazar and salazar is one of my favourite characters in the series so I was kinda bummed out with how little screen time he got and how he is not silly in the remake,the fact that they cut the video calls with him hurt the character in my opinion
Beat it two times in a row back to back, second on ff mode. I wouldn't have done that if I didn't enjoy the combat and story, etc but there are some things about the game that are just not good (some presentation issues, side questing became tedious, gear progression is horrendous, etc.)

I'm only roughly 5-6 hours into Lies of P and I'm so surprised at how awesome this game is, and I'm not even that far in. God 2023 was an amazing year for games.
Lies of P is an incredible game. I could be slightly biased because Bloodborne is definitely my favorite FromSoft game. Lies of P just feels so good. I loved the atmosphere, the story, and the combat. It is extremely satisfying once you get the mechanics down
I'm currently stuck on the green swamp monster in chapter 8 of Lies of P, lol. And though I've never beat a single "souls-like" video game before, I've definitely put more time into Lies of P than any other game of its type. One of the most intriguing video games to ever capture my attention. From the story narrative right down to the characters themselves, the level design and crazy enemy variation, or just the many bosses and the game's overall atmosphere. It's definitely worth a playthrough and I'm not even a souls' genre type player. Aside from attempting Bloodborne, Demon Souls, and Elden Ring; this is the first game I've ever truly wanted to beat. A one-of-a-kind experience, you can't beat that feeling of playing a game all the way through for the very first time. To me that sums up my experience with this game! I want to get better at Lies of P, and the parry system is so much more fun and forgiving. I'm hoping that playing enough of this game will help me get better at trying the other souls-borne video games. Sorry, it's a great game lmao.
Starting with lies is honestly a rough go. Most people even souls vets I’ve watched struggle with this game. Sekiro’s parry system while similar is way wayyy more forgiving than lies is. If you can get through lies honestly you won’t have trouble with souls games.

@@C_O_N_C_E_P_Tagreed. Elden ring was my first then I did Sekiro, I’m still going through DS3 and I finished Lies of P yesterday, I found it the hardest but also the most fun for me besides Sekiro. I love Elden ring too but I slightly enjoy the more linear but still diverse worlds of lies of p and Sekiro than the full open world of Elden Ring

If you have good Wi-Fi, grab a mini hdmi to USB c or lightning cable adapter, Bluetooth controller, hook that shit up to the TV and you're good to go I will say xbox game pass is exceptionally good at streaming too, better than psplay, remote play, or chiaki
What's cool about Max is that he doesn't coke off like a fan boy of any specific game. He is well balanced and level headed in his analysis. He doesn't give off gate keeping vibes and always acknowledges different opinions and how there is no right and wrong in them. Keep up the good work Max.
I loved Lies of P so much. RE4 Remake was great to experience and enjoy, but we've been there before. Lies of P was something totally loved and realized.
Lies of P and Hi-Fi Rush are truly the best gems to come out this year (outside of Baldurs Gate), I had so much fun with these games that I’m close to 100%’ing Lies of P. They’re just so good.
I'll throw Armored Core in too. So freaking good. Perfection just doing what it was built to be. A freaking awesome mech action game. With a surprisingly thoughtful story and replay value too.

I'm currently playing Lies of P and I'm absolutely loving it! The aesthetic of the world and characters is so awesome! It's the first time I've ever played a game and wished I was a doll maker because I would love to make dolls of some of the characters!
I get a kick of hearing the name "Lies of P" every time. Because they KNEW, if you want to have a serious, dark and cool title, the moment you say the word "Pinocchio" it all goes out the window; like trying to make "Three little pigs" sound badass. So they had to come up with some way to allude to the fairy tale without saying it's name, and Lies of P is the result of that mental jugglin, I find it so amusing 😅
Beat Lies of P 7 times (4 with 1 character, 3 with another). It came out of nowhere and absolutely took my GOTY spot, too. Amazing game. Can't wait for the DLC.
@@acurisur I have a pretty good radar when looking at trailers. Rebirth is going to be incredible.. It will absolutely be nominated for GOTY and will have a high chance of winning. It just has that vibe, just judging from watching the gameplay and trailers.. We’re in for something special no doubt. That’s not even mentioning the fact that FF7 OG is so beloved by many within the industry, if Rebirth delivers, it will be a critical darling among the journalists and gaming industry.
For me it's a 2 horse race between Rebirth and Infinite Wealth, I just wish Sega would rethink how they're monetizing LaD games recently. They've been selling ubisoft style "time savers" and other consumables in all of their Dragon Engine games and the fact IW is locking new game+ behind a paywall is GARBAGE.
@@DFTNSHEXGRM I love FF7 OG too, but this is a different game. It might be GOTY, but it also might be a massive clusterf**k. Nobody knows yet, and if you think Square Enix can't mess this up, they also made Forspoken and Marvel's Avengers. The PC version of FF7 Intergrade ran like hot garbage when it released. All I'm saying is everyone is jumping the gun on a game that's not been reviewed yet which is ALWAYS a bad idea.
@@acurisurto counter a point you made, both Forspoken and Avengers were made outside squeenix proper and neither looked very good or generated much hype from their initial reveals (or at least the first time we heard dialogue). Nobody was pumped to play a Dollar Store MCU live service or Cringe Isekai: The Game.
I dunno if I 100% agree with your takes on the first half of Spidey 2, but it's at least understandable why you'd feel that way. The second half/third act, rushed as it was, is absolutely a rollercoaster. The climax blows the first game's out of the water. If they can continue to build upon this and refine it for the third game we'll probably have the best Spider-Man title of recent years on our hands. As it stands, Spidey 2 just barely missed out on the GOTY for me. That honour goes to Tears of the Kingdom with Pikmin 4 in third place.
I loved playing FF16 but Max's criticisms are pretty spot on. They clearly spent an absolute ton of time and money on the Titan and Bahamut fights and on the prologue. Then the rest of the game is like...weirdly mediocre or plain in terms of visuals and story/personality. I still recommend it though. edit: Also I cracked up for like 10 minutes at "dummy thick easy"
I love the game but yea I agree, the game has some "mediocre" parts in it that I wish weren't there. I feel like if they replaced the mandatory fetch quests with another dominant arc, it wouldve been better.
Same. Though to be honest, my expectations may have betrayed me in a sensne I was expecting a Game of Thrones level of plot but alas that was only during the first half. It seemed like the first part and plot involving the final boss feels somewhat disjoint. Still enjoyed it though but I might not pull the trigger on the DLCs and watch an LP instead..
I could not stop falling asleep during all the in between moments. Went from defeating titan to falling asleep again 2 minutes after. Like someone else commented the prologue was so incredible though
Lie of P was so good it is the first souls like game I 100% complete with 3 playthrough. Super fun, one of the few game this year that made me play it through the end.
I demand a follow up vid that explains why you either never played or never played much of Baldur's Gate 3. I will respect whatever opinions you have (I personally never made it past act 1 due to not really having any time for it myself), but don't leave all of us hanging with questions
I loved the video. Personally my top two are interchangable with TotK and Baldur's Gate. Both games pushed so much in terms of ingenuity that it's hard to overlook how passionate they were. Some examples are building virtually anything you can think of, or becoming a king of pushing foes off the battlefield to their death (insane amount of terrain exploration that you don't usually see in isometrics and the nearly infinite variables to stories each will go through). Lies of P would have easily taken it any other year as its an homage to two of my favorite games of all time in Sekiro and Bloodborne and kept the level design of a Dark Souls somehow would be my 3rd. You could easily throw the FromSoftware name on it and people wouldn't blink twice and think differently its that good. Macabre Zelda is how I used to describe these games (originally played Demon Souls on PS3) before people gave it the soulsborne title after Bloodborne. What a fantastic year to be a gamer though! I am 100% buying Hi-Fi Rush right now on Steam as I didn't realize it was on PC yet!
Just like Max Lies of P and Re4 have been my favorite games this year, but Lies of P just took my heart entirely. I have not stop playing it until today. 3 different save files on NG+4 and I just want to do it again 😂

Can’t wait to see what would be 2024’s best fighting games and year awards since 2024 is close but I learned to be patient and focus on present day lol but enjoy the New Year’s Eve everyone.

Outside SF 6, i didn't played any of the big games that released on this year (RE4R, AC 6, etc etc) because i finished a lot of my backlogs. I didn't want my backlogs became bigger and bigger. But i did bought a couple of games such as *Lost Judgment, Watch Dogs 2, AC Syndicate, and ExitMan* which i finished them all. I love Lost Judgment a lot so i say it's my GotY along with SF 6.
I really want reactivate to be a banger, or that maybe Hasbro collaborates with someone to make a transformers fighting game Max has already said he loved TF as a kid and I would love to see him talk about it more
I have never gotten around to playing Lies of P, though someone did buy it for me for Christmas. I sometimes have trouble getting into new games, not entirely sure why but Max's glowing praise of Lies of P and also as someone who loves Bloodborne I need to get around to playing it.
Lies of P is: 45 % Bloodborne 45 % Sekiro 10 % Dark Souls A ton of people, Max included, don’t give the Sekiro influence enough credit. Things from Sekiro: - The parry system that makes it almost a rhythm game at times. - The Legion Arm is almost 1 to 1 the Sekiro prosthetic. - Having a specific to the story character/Not having a character creator. - Having a much clearer and more linear story.

I wrote off Lies of P entirely because of the first 30 minutes of the demo. But then I saw your uploaded stream sessions and I couldn’t stop watching them. I bought the game myself and had a blast. I’ve never beat a from soft title but couldn’t put the controller down for this one. My personal goty was Remnant 2 though because of the coop aspect and replayability.
My biggest regret on my Spiderman 2 play thru is i mistakenly wanted go do a bunch of side quests before doing the main missions. What ended up happening was by the time I got the symbiote suit all i had were main missions to do which lead to not a lot of time spent in the suit
Baldurs gate 3 was too good, it honestly became my favorite game ever, beating out my old favorites C&C red alert 3 from years back and DMC5 which was my favorite till now
I've finished it twice before the ending change, and I have like 5 or 6 current playthroughs going. Outside of the specific story elements that can't be changed, none of them are playing out the same way, and I'm still running into dialog and little surprises that I haven't heard or seen before. I'm with you. Might be the best game ever.

My favorite thing about AC6....NG+. I'm on my second play through. And things have changed. Alliances are different. New missions. New parts. I'm loving it. And from what i understand NG++ is even more different. I can't wait.
I can’t wait to see what the devs of Lies of P do next. I have have major criticisms of it and I don’t think it’s a masterpiece but I do agree it’s the closest any dev has ever gotten to Bloodborne. That’s huge praise in itself
Hi-Fi Rush gave me something that so many action games haven't done so in a while, that thing being sweet, delicious air combos. I hope we get more action games that follow the DMC style of action instead of just being Soulslikes.
Lies of P is also my GOTY. What an adventure! Going to savour my 3rd playthrough at some point, getting my final achivement too. I'm amazed how they captured the Souls-like.. Soul, like they did. Perfectly optimized on PC as well, it ran smooth as butter

Final Fantasy XVI is my goty, it’s not perfect but incredible well put together. Love the world story and characters so much. And the music!!

Beat it two times in a row back to back, second on ff mode. I wouldn't have done that if I didn't enjoy the combat and story, etc but there are some things about the game that are just not good (some presentation issues, side questing became tedious, gear progression is horrendous, etc.)

I'm only roughly 5-6 hours into Lies of P and I'm so surprised at how awesome this game is, and I'm not even that far in. God 2023 was an amazing year for games.

Lies of P is an incredible game. I could be slightly biased because Bloodborne is definitely my favorite FromSoft game. Lies of P just feels so good. I loved the atmosphere, the story, and the combat. It is extremely satisfying once you get the mechanics down
I'm currently stuck on the green swamp monster in chapter 8 of Lies of P, lol.
And though I've never beat a single "souls-like" video game before, I've definitely put more time into Lies of P than any other game of its type. One of the most intriguing video games to ever capture my attention. From the story narrative right down to the characters themselves, the level design and crazy enemy variation, or just the many bosses and the game's overall atmosphere. It's definitely worth a playthrough and I'm not even a souls' genre type player. Aside from attempting Bloodborne, Demon Souls, and Elden Ring; this is the first game I've ever truly wanted to beat. A one-of-a-kind experience, you can't beat that feeling of playing a game all the way through for the very first time. To me that sums up my experience with this game! I want to get better at Lies of P, and the parry system is so much more fun and forgiving. I'm hoping that playing enough of this game will help me get better at trying the other souls-borne video games.

Starting with lies is honestly a rough go. Most people even souls vets I’ve watched struggle with this game. Sekiro’s parry system while similar is way wayyy more forgiving than lies is.
If you can get through lies honestly you won’t have trouble with souls games.
Use the fire status effect, like the special grindstone or the salamander dagger if you have that weapon

@@C_O_N_C_E_P_Tagreed. Elden ring was my first then I did Sekiro, I’m still going through DS3 and I finished Lies of P yesterday, I found it the hardest but also the most fun for me besides Sekiro. I love Elden ring too but I slightly enjoy the more linear but still diverse worlds of lies of p and Sekiro than the full open world of Elden Ring

What's cool about Max is that he doesn't coke off like a fan boy of any specific game. He is well balanced and level headed in his analysis. He doesn't give off gate keeping vibes and always acknowledges different opinions and how there is no right and wrong in them. Keep up the good work Max.

I loved Lies of P so much. RE4 Remake was great to experience and enjoy, but we've been there before. Lies of P was something totally loved and realized.
This year has been an absolute banger. And I hope that we get another year like it this console gen.
Lies of P and Hi-Fi Rush are truly the best gems to come out this year (outside of Baldurs Gate), I had so much fun with these games that I’m close to 100%’ing Lies of P. They’re just so good.
I'll throw Armored Core in too. So freaking good. Perfection just doing what it was built to be. A freaking awesome mech action game.

@@patecar20 Armored Core Last Raven and For Answer are the same way. The different endings have very different mission paths that lead up to them, along with new parts.

I'm currently playing Lies of P and I'm absolutely loving it! The aesthetic of the world and characters is so awesome! It's the first time I've ever played a game and wished I was a doll maker because I would love to make dolls of some of the characters!
I get a kick of hearing the name "Lies of P" every time. Because they KNEW, if you want to have a serious, dark and cool title, the moment you say the word "Pinocchio" it all goes out the window; like trying to make "Three little pigs" sound badass. So they had to come up with some way to allude to the fairy tale without saying it's name, and Lies of P is the result of that mental jugglin, I find it so amusing 😅

I was never a SoulsBourne player but Lies of P was my game of the year. Just started playing it a couple of days ago and loving every minute of it.

Hi-Fi Rush is my GoTY. I just loved every minute and Max put it perfectly. It's an early 2000's PS2-era game with 2023 game polish.
Beat Lies of P 7 times (4 with 1 character, 3 with another). It came out of nowhere and absolutely took my GOTY spot, too. Amazing game. Can't wait for the DLC.

Bit premature to call a game that's not even been reviewed yet GOTY. There are many other contenders for that title next year.
@@acurisur I have a pretty good radar when looking at trailers. Rebirth is going to be incredible.. It will absolutely be nominated for GOTY and will have a high chance of winning. It just has that vibe, just judging from watching the gameplay and trailers.. We’re in for something special no doubt. That’s not even mentioning the fact that FF7 OG is so beloved by many within the industry, if Rebirth delivers, it will be a critical darling among the journalists and gaming industry.
For me it's a 2 horse race between Rebirth and Infinite Wealth, I just wish Sega would rethink how they're monetizing LaD games recently. They've been selling ubisoft style "time savers" and other consumables in all of their Dragon Engine games and the fact IW is locking new game+ behind a paywall is GARBAGE.
@@DFTNSHEXGRM I love FF7 OG too, but this is a different game. It might be GOTY, but it also might be a massive clusterf**k. Nobody knows yet, and if you think Square Enix can't mess this up, they also made Forspoken and Marvel's Avengers.
The PC version of FF7 Intergrade ran like hot garbage when it released.
All I'm saying is everyone is jumping the gun on a game that's not been reviewed yet which is ALWAYS a bad idea.
@@acurisurto counter a point you made, both Forspoken and Avengers were made outside squeenix proper and neither looked very good or generated much hype from their initial reveals (or at least the first time we heard dialogue). Nobody was pumped to play a Dollar Store MCU live service or Cringe Isekai: The Game.

2023 was a legendary gaming year
I dunno if I 100% agree with your takes on the first half of Spidey 2, but it's at least understandable why you'd feel that way. The second half/third act, rushed as it was, is absolutely a rollercoaster. The climax blows the first game's out of the water. If they can continue to build upon this and refine it for the third game we'll probably have the best Spider-Man title of recent years on our hands.
As it stands, Spidey 2 just barely missed out on the GOTY for me. That honour goes to Tears of the Kingdom with Pikmin 4 in third place.
I loved playing FF16 but Max's criticisms are pretty spot on. They clearly spent an absolute ton of time and money on the Titan and Bahamut fights and on the prologue. Then the rest of the game is like...weirdly mediocre or plain in terms of visuals and story/personality. I still recommend it though.
edit: Also I cracked up for like 10 minutes at "dummy thick easy"

Same. Though to be honest, my expectations may have betrayed me in a sensne I was expecting a Game of Thrones level of plot but alas that was only during the first half. It seemed like the first part and plot involving the final boss feels somewhat disjoint. Still enjoyed it though but I might not pull the trigger on the DLCs and watch an LP instead..

Lie of P was so good it is the first souls like game I 100% complete with 3 playthrough. Super fun, one of the few game this year that made me play it through the end.

I can't believe how much Lies of P was overlooked. If it had a FromSoft logo on it, it would be getting so many nominations.
I loved the video. Personally my top two are interchangable with TotK and Baldur's Gate. Both games pushed so much in terms of ingenuity that it's hard to overlook how passionate they were. Some examples are building virtually anything you can think of, or becoming a king of pushing foes off the battlefield to their death (insane amount of terrain exploration that you don't usually see in isometrics and the nearly infinite variables to stories each will go through).
Lies of P would have easily taken it any other year as its an homage to two of my favorite games of all time in Sekiro and Bloodborne and kept the level design of a Dark Souls somehow would be my 3rd. You could easily throw the FromSoftware name on it and people wouldn't blink twice and think differently its that good. Macabre Zelda is how I used to describe these games (originally played Demon Souls on PS3) before people gave it the soulsborne title after Bloodborne.
What a fantastic year to be a gamer though! I am 100% buying Hi-Fi Rush right now on Steam as I didn't realize it was on PC yet!
Just like Max Lies of P and Re4 have been my favorite games this year, but Lies of P just took my heart entirely. I have not stop playing it until today. 3 different save files on NG+4 and I just want to do it again 😂

I’ve never finished a Fromsoft game but here I am on NG+ enjoying every second! My GOTY for sure.
Outside SF 6, i didn't played any of the big games that released on this year (RE4R, AC 6, etc etc) because i finished a lot of my backlogs. I didn't want my backlogs became bigger and bigger. But i did bought a couple of games such as *Lost Judgment, Watch Dogs 2, AC Syndicate, and ExitMan* which i finished them all. I love Lost Judgment a lot so i say it's my GotY along with SF 6.

I have never gotten around to playing Lies of P, though someone did buy it for me for Christmas. I sometimes have trouble getting into new games, not entirely sure why but Max's glowing praise of Lies of P and also as someone who loves Bloodborne I need to get around to playing it.
Lies of P is:
45 % Bloodborne
45 % Sekiro
10 % Dark Souls
A ton of people, Max included, don’t give the Sekiro influence enough credit.
Things from Sekiro:
- The parry system that makes it almost a rhythm game at times.
- The Legion Arm is almost 1 to 1 the Sekiro prosthetic.
- Having a specific to the story character/Not having a character creator.
- Having a much clearer and more linear story.
Did Max even play Sekiro?

HI FI rush getting spotlight is so nice. This game came from absolute nowhere and blew my mind with how fun it was. It was my GOTY till BG3 came out.
I wrote off Lies of P entirely because of the first 30 minutes of the demo. But then I saw your uploaded stream sessions and I couldn’t stop watching them. I bought the game myself and had a blast. I’ve never beat a from soft title but couldn’t put the controller down for this one.
My personal goty was Remnant 2 though because of the coop aspect and replayability.
‘Baldurs gate 3, Tears of the kingdom… whatever!!’ Only Max can get away with statements like this lol
My biggest regret on my Spiderman 2 play thru is i mistakenly wanted go do a bunch of side quests before doing the main missions.
What ended up happening was by the time I got the symbiote suit all i had were main missions to do which lead to not a lot of time spent in the suit
Lies of P is one of those games I will come back to for years to come
Baldurs gate 3 was too good, it honestly became my favorite game ever, beating out my old favorites C&C red alert 3 from years back and DMC5 which was my favorite till now
I've finished it twice before the ending change, and I have like 5 or 6 current playthroughs going. Outside of the specific story elements that can't be changed, none of them are playing out the same way, and I'm still running into dialog and little surprises that I haven't heard or seen before. I'm with you. Might be the best game ever.

I can’t wait to see what the devs of Lies of P do next. I have have major criticisms of it and I don’t think it’s a masterpiece but I do agree it’s the closest any dev has ever gotten to Bloodborne. That’s huge praise in itself
Hi-Fi Rush gave me something that so many action games haven't done so in a while, that thing being sweet, delicious air combos. I hope we get more action games that follow the DMC style of action instead of just being Soulslikes.
Lies of P is also my GOTY. What an adventure! Going to savour my 3rd playthrough at some point, getting my final achivement too. I'm amazed how they captured the Souls-like.. Soul, like they did. Perfectly optimized on PC as well, it ran smooth as butter
