good luck, Deep Pond. I wish you the best. I have owned and loved an old 770 in NE Florida for about 15 yrs. is a workhorse. I have used it an abused it. the hydraulic system on mine (the system shown in this film) has been buggy the whole time. but I have learned to live with it. Not all functionality works on mine, and parts for DBs are increasingly hard to find. great in their day, but now not practical, IMO, as an everyday work tractor.
THEE most advanced tractor of its era .but farmers used say .The hydrolics gave trouble .I think they were too advanced for most farmers .Ive a 996 which i use to till my garden The easiest tractor to start and great to manouvre with the wet brakes .Great tractors highly underrated unless you have one .Itll lift round bales with a weight frame no bother too .and go 16 " deep with a 2 sod fiskers plough ..Great great machines .
David Brown tractors were really good machines! Here in Germany they had not many Fans but my Uncle had two of them!

My Father on the Farm in Ireland. Had nothing only DBs. 990s & 1200
simplicity itself, he says. LOL !
We used db 990 implematics. A very reliable tractor, only problems were usually the hydraulics
