Very nice run, you're going to sub 1 any day now. I need to find a way to emulate your insane starts

And I need to find a way to emulate the rest of your game...

You'll save about 0.3 seconds by having your buttons pressed down before you click new game. I have the mouse hovering over the new game button and position it next to my right thumb so I can have the arrow buttons pressed down and still click. This will also lets you cycle through new games much faster so you can afford to wait for a good start with both a 256 and 128 tile.

@@lostsawmill4053 Without the benefit of external software, I managed to create that exact same setup today after being inspired by the kind of starts you and Rubiksmath manage to get on your runs :P I'm really comfortable grinding for sub 4.5 512+256 and already got it and a couple sub 10 1024 tiles today. I think sub 40 is actually impending since I'm terrible at getting the 6 key glitch consistently :O

@@lostsawmill4053 You seem to have pretty good reaction times but pause after joining together large tiles. I think, relative to my speed, you're just playing too scared. As soon as you can let it go even more and incorporate gut reactions and yolo plays, you''ll drop even further down, but that comes at the risk of needing more attempts to get the time.

A ton of the time, a run survives because I'm lucky enough to be looking and reacting to the area of the board that's critical to see in order to progress/not jam up and die. I rarely feel in control of the run and often trade full board awareness for speed, i.e. conditional plays that "usually" work but I don't have the time to verify the safety of, if that makes sense.
