    I always loved solark from the start and it keeps getting better. Thank you for slowing down the conversation to properly highly the kez features between solark and everyone else.

    I was hoping to hear more about their micros, the M-2000 really had me excited for 4x500W+ panels in to feed on down the line with 2kW out. And then being able to run several of those in parallel . . .

    I believe the max battery AC output is 12kw, but need to keep legs balanced. I'd like to see higher AC output from batteries and a 20k version of it.

      Just run 2 of them in parallel then you would have 24kw from just batteries and 30kw with solar and batteries. It would also be redundant if one were to fail you could still have half power at least until you get it fixed

      Hah, maybe if I can find a used one. I'm running one solark 15k already with a bypass transfer switch in case it breaks. It is surprisingly running both my Hvacs, 3 and 4 ton, and my 240v 1.5 hp well pump no problems. Bit of light flickering in startups here and there, but not bad. Micro airs on the hvacs helped

    After looking at all the viable options, I ONLY want to purchase a Sol-Ark 15K inverter and Storz Power battery energy management system. The problem? I live in Massachusetts and cannot find a certified installer. I encourage Sol-Ark to contact me to not only help me, but for me to help Sol-ark expand their market into the Northeast. They blow away the competition.

    After using solark offgrid for a few years my only issue is I cannot find an ability to limit load from a generator. This means if the generator is running and I have charge set the generator limit load, any large load will them trip the generator. Would be great if there was an option to limit load from gen and pull additional load from batteries.

      @@jepito29 Deye. The extent to which they are built to Sol-Ark's specs or the firmware is custom is sometimes disputed, but they're manufactured by Deye based on products that Deye sells under their own name in other markets.
      The reality is that there are a handful of solar inverter manufacturers in the world. They're almost all in Asia. Its just weird that he's kind of crapping on manufacturers who sell branded white label products when many of their products are that exact thing.
      Their "About Us" page says "Engineered, Assembled and Tested in America" for a reason. I don't mean this as a condemnation. The best AND worst solar products on the market are almost all manufactured in part or in whole in Asia. Its just how it works.

    I like sol-ark, I like the whole-home backup concept. I really love being able to separately fit-out the batteries. The new micro-inverters and optimizers sound interesting. I have two problems with the guy's presentation though.
    First, I see automated load management at the breaker box as creating more problems than it solves. As long as the inverter can handle the loads, then if a power failure occurs it is utterly trivial to just go around the house and turn things off. The last thing I want is for some automated system to decide to turn off a washer or dryer all on its own.
    The second problem is that the sol-ark 15K represents a very expensive single point of failure. For true robustness and reliability, a house really needs two or three hybrid inverters in parallel. That gets very expensive, very quickly.
    Also, Sol-ark has been lagging on prices. They are still an extremely expensive option compared to other offerings on the market. I agree, the sol-ark is very high quality. But look at what happened to... oh, BattleBorn for example. They failed to adapt to rapidly rising competition and changing battery topologies, and lost an enormous amount of market share in the process. I don't want sol-ark going down the same path. The equipment costs really have to come down. They don't have to be the cheapest option... I for one am definitely willing to pay a premium for sol-ark gear. But not double the price. That gives me second and third thoughts.

    I’d like to see a video on whether or how Sol-Ark system is designed to get back up and running quickly when a component fails.
    Is it easy and fast to replace or bypass?
    Can some things be changed out by a DIY homeowner skilled in electrical? (Eg what if a module on the load management system fails?)
    Or is the entire house without power indefinitely? (For Weeks)

    SolArk only uses high frequency, transformerless technology in their inverter designs. I would NEVER use a low surge capacity, high frequency inverter technology to for whole home backup. No thanks. A much better longer lasting and safer technology for whole home backup is low frequency, transformer based inverter tech.

    • @silverice9
      @silverice9 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Surge capacity on a solark isn't that bad. Not going to surge like a Schneider XW, but this would work decently for whole home backup in a lot of situations, and it's a super easy install compared to a lot of the LF inverters out there. But yeah, would be nice if someone made a solark15k clone with LF, but it would be super heavy for sure... and probably cost a lot more.

    • @solarcharging9743
      @solarcharging9743 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @silverice9 @silverice9 The surge capacity isn't that bad, but it's nowhere near the surge capacity of a equally sized low frequency inverter. And when it comes to powering residential high inductive loads, you need all the surge capacity that you can get. And there is absolutely no difference when it comes to connecting a high frequency inverter and a low frequency inverter. The connections are basically the same.

    • @silverice9
      @silverice9 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@solarcharging9743 If you could link me to the LF all-in-one inverter that doesn appx 15kw of inverting, and has a 200 amp transfer switch built-in for whole home backup in one box, please link it to me. Hell, I'd be willing to pay a $2000 premium over a solark for that, but as far as I know, such a thing doesn't exist.
      Solark is a ludicrously easy install.

    • @junkerzn7312
      @junkerzn7312 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@solarcharging9743 Well, for an LF inverter weight is the biggest issue for the installation. And anyway, the only surge and the only high inductive load that one has to contend with in a residence these days is from traditional A/C systems. Nothing else in the house creates a surge of any significance to HF inverters this big. It will laugh at the dishwasher, washing machine, and microwave. The fridge probably doesn't even generate an inductive load any more... anything with a true variable compressor is rectified to DC internally and slow-starts. So no surge and no real inductive load.
      In anycase, a soft-start circuit solves the traditional A/C surge if that turns out to be a problem. And if someone has a mini-split instead, there is basically no surge and no inductive load of note.
      Insofar as I know, nobody has complained about running A/C from sol-arks other than a bug in the very early 12K models that was fixed years ago.
