I believe on the 2022 models you can update the GPS and the software over Wi-Fi without having to download it on a computer onto a USB flash drive first. And I also believe the USB flash drive plug can be used as a cell phone charging source.
Agreed thank you much easier then reading a manual you just have to play around with these things to figure out a video was very helpful. Had a question do text messages pop up from your phone when Bluetooth connected?
@@AplusPowerSports I cant get my texts to come up, phone is connected and shows contacts and recent calls but not texts, did a software update and didnt seem to help. Any ideas?
Great job thank you very much I great job appreciate the video. On my iPad I have used Gaia maps Can I upload waypoints and tracks that I have saved on my Gaia to the Ride Command?
Curious, if my cell plan does not allow me to return on my phone as a mobile hotspot, I’m assuming that I can’t utilize sharing Ride Command Routes from my phone to the sled? There is no way to do it via Bluetooth I’m assuming? Thanks.
I haven't tried it before but I believe if you link it to wifi like in your garage and then sign into your RideCommand account it will still allow it to link.
@@AplusPowerSports Thanks. Just updated the gauge this afternoon with the update that was just released today I believe and all is well. It now allows the 7s to hook up to my shop Wi-Fi!
Not sure if this helps you kohl with your communicator but mine wasn’t able to adjust volume or mute either. I saw somewhere that if you pair your phone to the 7S and then pair the 7S to your communicator it works. If your phone is paired to the 7S and the communicator at the same time it won’t work. I tried it by just pairing the 7S to the communicator and not the phone and now it works flawlessly. I just went into settings and had my phone forget about the Bluetooth connection to the communicator. I have a scena 10c
I'm having an issue on my 2022 VR1 with my bluetooth, I connect them and after about 2 minutes the symbol on the screen goes away and they are no longer connected. I'm also having the issue like many where your driving along and your speedo, tach , and temp quit. If you stop sled turn everything off then restart the sled most of the time it comes back on.
First start your sled- click the Polaris logo on the top of the screen- go to all settings in the bottom right corner- this will show vehicle info, if youre in break in still there will be a loading bar on the bottom of the screen showing how much break in you have left.
Does it have ambient temperature? My Sportsman 570 manual shows ambient temperature at the right top between the clock and the compass, yet I can't find it on my ATV.
I would start by doing a software update if that doesnt work you can check your wiring to the back of the screen for the GPS puck located in the front storage box. If these dont fix the issue I would bring it to your local dealer for diagnostics.
No they will all do the same job but make sure it has enough GB to hold the entire file. RideCommands website will tell you how large of a GB drive you need if I remember right its 16GB.
Great video, can you tell me how to check your break in hours on a new sled, Is it a percentage display in data screen,??that count down the hours left till it breaks in. Example 100% to 0% to break in. Thanks 👍
The new 2023 RideCommand update allows you to see the break in time left. If you go to setting you can see the sled, VIN # etc... it will show the break in timer.
Maybe your's weren't working? I've owned 5 RMKs and have never seen one without heated grips/thumb. It's true though that RMKs don't have the smart grips with the controls on the 7S. It's just a rocker switch on the console in front of the gas cap.
Best tutorial on the Internet. great job 👍
Thank you!
ok karen
Killer video. My one stop shop for getting my VR1's Ride Command dialed in. Thank you for putting it together!
Thank you for the awesome video!
Glad you liked it!
Very informative. Thank you very much

I have not tried that yet that is great info if it can do that. Yes the USB plug in does allow you to charge your phone great points.
Thanks!

Had a question do text messages pop up from your phone when Bluetooth connected?
Yes they do on mine
Im glad it helped! Yes your screen should show an incoming text message pop up on the screen when someone tries to text you.

I haven't tried it before but I don't think you can Polaris Ride Command is its own software so I don't think they will cross to another company.
If you open Ride Command on your computer, from the Home screen, it looks like there is a way to import a GPX file to your ride command account.

Do you need to keep hit spot on inorder to keep satellite map on
Yes the satelite view only works when connected to the internet, so when using it you must have your hotspot on.
This is the same for the Ride Command on a SxS?
They are very similar but there will be a few features that are not the same from sled to utvs.

These issues sound like a software issue. I recommend updating the software on the screen first and see if it fixes it.
how do i check thee % of break in it has left?

No they do have the ambient temperature on these screens.
My 2022 7s gauge doesn’t acquire any satellites. What would cause it not to? I rode over 30 miles in Iowa and nothing.
I would start by doing a software update if that doesnt work you can check your wiring to the back of the screen for the GPS puck located in the front storage box. If these dont fix the issue I would bring it to your local dealer for diagnostics.
Nice job.
Thanks!

Great tutorial. Unfortunately unfortunately not all matrix platforms have heated grips.. They excluded the RMKs So we ride with cold frozen thumbs.😒
Sorry to hear that!
