I like the diversity in their discography. I think it’s totally acceptable to expand into different genres. I rather have a variety than the same sound over, over, and over again. To me, they ATE.
I have watched this channel for a few years now and noticed he generally prefers when artists stick to certain sounds/musical directions that he vibes with rather than see them experiment a lot with different genres which is valid ofc its his preference but personally I enjoy when idols dabble in a huge range of sounds. IMO its easy/safe for an artist to release the same types of sound/vibe but slightly different each time, esp if they know it'll do well from past experience. His ult is Taemin and this is essentially what Taemin does best and why we love him lol I do believe it's important for idols to develop a unique musical identity but for me that doesn't mean they have to stick to certain genres/vibes as there are various ways to develop artistry. This isn't my favourite Lesserafim cb but I love that they did something different and am enjoying this era as the girls are having fun.
i think also sticking to one sound and identity is for a much older group lol it’s normal for groups to do weird shit in the beginning😂ppl forget lsrfm are rookies because they’re so slay
I would’ve liked it if they did this abit later When groups switch up like this they rarely go back to their old way which everyone loved (anti fragile) I don’t think they don’t want to continue they just COULD NOT I feel like hybe just couldn’t find more songs like anti-fragile (that’s why the mess villain released) So they decided to switch it up all together to whatever decent song they found
Good bones has a trailer! And it's pretty cool, it's giving SKINS UK. Sakura mentioned that they picked EASY because they couldn't be fearless/strong all the time, they wanted to show a new side with this title before they put them in a box. I do agree they need more layers for the vocals, that's my main frustration with hybe/source.
@@NEWBOTANICAapparently they did as they performed live on Lee Hyori's Red carpet. Sakura and kazuha showed great improvement of their vocals in their easy performance and perfect night.
@@hytothmn2110 never really been concerned about kazuha, although she has the least amount of training - out of the 3 non vocalists ( kaz, sak and eun ) she's always had the best tone - its sakura and eunchae im worried about.. eunchae still has alot of time to improve as she's young but sakura should of had a little more improvent atleast since joing source music
I said the SAME thing about Yunjin about how I don’t think they’re utilizing her vocals in how we KNOW she can. It would give their songs so much more depth if they added more layers and harmonies and ad libs. I think they play it too safe at times. I like them but I’m starting to get bored 🥲
See that’s what I said to my sister. The song isn’t bad at all. R&B is “rhythm and blues” there needs to be some emotion to it. If the catchiness is not carrying the song then the emotion or message should be. The choreography feels more suitable for a hip hop song than an r&b song like this. Did they eat choreography wise, yes of course. Do I feel like this song falls under kpop companies trying to find that western sound that makes western music pop in a kpop fashion, but still missing the mark? Also yes. I feel like this song as a whole in terms of fashion, choreography, music, and mv have all the parts that is popular in western music and culture, but it doesn’t have the right type of energy supporting it or it’s not put together in the best way it can be. Idk 🤷🏻♂️. I love r&b and hip hop, and with the direction kpop is going in I just hope they will get a better understanding of it. Cuz if you’re going to be influenced by it and make it your own. I would hope you would do it right or do it justice.
As someone who didn’t really like Unforgiven I’m glad they went in a direction closer to impurities for the TT. But I agree with a lot of your points about the concept and styling. I enjoy this song more without the video. SUITS would have been so amazing. I also think they are underutilizing their vocals. You can still be laid back and have dynamics. Thanks for the reaction and honest review 🤗
The concept of Easy fits really well for Lesserafim. The point of the song is how they make stuff look Easy. So they went with a chill song while the choreography itself is hard with a lot of intricate details and footwork. You should check out their Garage performance video. This comeback tagline is "Make it look easy" so they went with higher level difficulty choreography for these songs.
Easy grew on me I can't lie. I also felt like it wasn't their style but the more I listened to it, I kinda love it now 😅 The choreo to Swan song and Smart are insane though. Swan song choreo is so 'Impurities' coded and so refreshing as well
I 100% agree with you bc compare to their previous comeback it suits them really well. I think the concept and styling of the mv doesn’t match the song that’s why it felt kinda of out of place. When you said “cool girl commercial hip hop choreo” ts killed me 😭😭
Loved your comparison to Impurities because that remains my fav song by them. I love easy and smart but I appreciate your opinions. Thanks for reacting to them!
Although it suits my taste and I really liked the title track, I feel like this is an attempt to grab locals for Coachella. I think one of their directors said they were targeting US billboard
Completely agree. While i love Easy, it is a bit of a stray from their sound that we love them for. They did EAT though, especially in the garage performance version. This honestly would have been a bomb solo project for YunJin. Since you mentioned it, based off their recent dance covers, Kiss of Life would have bodied this easily and Ofcourse this is definitely XG vibes too lol
Honestly, I had mixed feelings about this drop. I saved the songs (except good bones, although usually I still save those intro type songs from them, this one wasn't it for me). Easy as a song is fine, but I agree that it doesn't feel like Lesserafim. I LOVED their last three albums because it felt unique and it felt like it fit all the members well. I didn't feel like (at least for title tracks) that the song didn't fit well with the members or that the members weren't embodying the song. This one feels like half of them have to put on an act for the song instead of having more fun. This whole era suits Yunjin and Chaewon the most, but Eunchae, Sakura, and even Kazuha at times feel like it's not their vibe and it impacts the performance for me. Sakura has always talked about struggling with the "cool girl" vibe and this comeback is even more of that than usual performance wise. If you watch their comeback stage performances, it feels like not all the members are shining on stage with this era, which is what I personally usually love about their performances. But I feel like they are about to (finally) tour in the West and hopefully more places, and I think this album would be fun on a live stage and nice to vibe with as a crowd.
when u think of them i think fierce, chic, confident, sharp, elegant, modelesque, lux.. i do not think whatever this was. i just watched the billboard begins and i’m even more disappointed; it’s a performance mv and it doesn’t have anything to say. it is disjointed and inadequate as an mv of one of the biggest entertainment companies out. it has some good parts and i’m not worried that they can do better in the future but overall it just leaves me wanting more
I agree! It’s cool that they’re exploring different genres and this isn’t a bad song but I don’t think this fits them. Definitely sounds like Tinashe’s Bouncin’ as well! I’m a lssfm enjoyer but could definitely see another group like XG or Kiss of life doing this instead
I actually like the album. But I feel like 1 thing needs to change and it feels more complete. Have a different title track and push Easy as THE B-side like they did with impurites and EPB. I think that this type of song doesn't suit the title track role. And in LE SSERAFIM's case they often have 1 standout B-side which in my opinion should've been Easy. But overall it's still a solid album, probably the weakest out of all of them but that doesn't mean it's not good.
Yea a lot of these songs seem more performance oriented that the actual songs. Their choreo's were insane for this CB. Maybe because they are preforming at Coachella they had mostly performance oriented songs?
I personally liked easy and I love the choreo and I think it’ll be a good performance in America given there’s apparently an English version coming out, but I see what you mean about their other title tracks being more unique. I can definitely see xg doing this like you said, but I love xg’s sound so I’m just like yay love it lol😂
This is why you're my favorite kpop reactor!! I didn't like this sound for them either. This sound is VERY specific and as much as they practiced and fine-tuned their choreo, they aren't a rnb swaggy group by default. Chaewon and Yunjin are definitely pulling it off, but for the rest I can see them that this style does not come easy and I can visually see that. I also wished they would continue that unique sound that Antifragile had. Even the song itself lacked in many ways. I would've appreciated more layered vocals in the pre-chorus. I think group does better when there are a lot of layered sounds vs this stripped back style. I hope they find their niche cuz ma'am 😂 and I love rnb, believe me! But I'm not a fan of a group who doesnt have a strong rnb presence being thrown an rnb song. And yes to the jumpsuits!! Ok I'm done 😂❤
We all have our personal tastes but I have to disagree, I think their title tracks before were very generic and this is new, and their vocals suit this great, also the choreo is great with the mix of soft vocals and intense dance
While you may think this song or album doesn’t reflect the group at all. That it’s an XG group or kiss of life song. I respect your opinion and why others may not like it. They chose a director that well known in the states that has worked w doja and others. I think the garage band performance fits the song as well as showcases the full chore. Also, I suggest u check out the chore to black swan stage as well as smart. Anyways I know this album would be hit or miss w a lot of people.
I get what you mean, and it was nice that you compared it to Impurities because it felt like a very natural musical transition for me since I listen to Impurities a lot. But you are right, compared to their other TT, it sounds like an experiment. Also, the video tbh was not the best. In my opinion, their choreo video in THE GARAGE is better than the actual music video and I would like for Hybe to stop trying to make songs for TikTok or to hop on trends for all their groups and instead do more like what S2 is doing with KIOF, providing very refreshing, good music
when i think of their signature choreo i think their strengths are shapes and dynamics vs easy's weighty hip hop style. it could also be styling that makes it feel off tho. they do pull it off well
I kind of agree with u in some points, but desagree in others. I reeeally like your reaction. I see the brand thing... but i think diversifying their scope is a hybe idea that can work and make them grow as artists. What bothers me is that it's too short and I think there's more room for adlib.
I have A LOT of thoughts on this song so let me start saying that I actually like it. It's been on repeat, I'm a huge fan of Tinashe (lol) so I love it. But I don't think it works for Lesserafim. They ate the choreography and performance (Chaewon star quality, pleaseeee), but it just doesn't feel like them. Again I have to go back to say that it feels like Hybe just gives their groups songs that they think it'll be successful at the moment (and can the producers even write bridges nowadays?). It doesn't mean that they can't change their style or try new things but, for example, title tracks like Bad Boy, Psycho or Russian Roulette sound nothing like each other but all of them still sound like a Red Velvet's song. This just sounds like it could be an Enhypen song and choreo tbh (to me at least, even the effects that they put on their voices on "Easy"). I'm a huge Lesserafim enthusiastic but Source Music/Hybe needs to give their groups a more original sound, please.
Yes, this to me felt like an experiment or a way to say that LSF will try different stuff compared to the trilogy. Easy is a nice song but it feels like Hybe is pushing the commercial part so their songs can be viral on tiktok, probably bcs they are going to coachella and they needed an easy listening song for US market. Anyway, I'm sure in the future they will have some tracks that will catapult them and get the recognition they deserve.
Easy felt like a bside to me, it doesn't have anything to grab on and listen to, it lacks that le sserafim vibe and you are so right about the choreo this is what I felt as well like why are they making such big moves for a song that has a softer sound, other tracks were kinda meh to me, smart is fine and i love its choreo but i just think this album overall is a bit messy, it lacks cohesiveness. For Swan song i love the choreo, Kazuha is doing her ballerina move and it suits it, but the music alone isn't doing it for me at all. Again, we get two minutes and no vocals, sigh.... Also, I don't think they should have filmed in a church.
hiphop really looks good on the group but i love seeing chaewon doing afrobeat I was so shocked when i first saw their Smart performance YOU HAVE TO WATCH!
The choreo for easy is perfect for them I really have to disagree, you need to watch the garage performance and see it in full i think maybe it’ll change your mind
So many people saying the Garage dance video is better than the MV. I agree as well. Honestly, its the MV director's fault if they fail to make their MV more compelling than the dance video. I do think its gonna be a hit song
I don’t think it’s necessary to make all high energy strong vocal songs. It’s what le sserafim’s been doing ever since they debuted so I like seeing different colors. Al so I think it all ties into the concept of “easy”, it is an overall an easy to listen album with bombass choreo that makes “look easy”. And smart was the cherry on top where they showed they can still do an energetic, high presence concept.
Every other group does that though lol so it’s not really that great a tactic. It’s more impressive for a group to be consistent and cohesive sonically with great growth that trying on any aesthetic and sound for the sake of it. Recent groups who have done this well are TXT, NEWJEANS and IVE (besides baddie) to name a few
i think easy is a good dupe song tho lmaooo like imagine they perform this first at coachella and the yts eat it up because they love watered down stuff like that and then they do anti fragile and fearless and boom suddenly they’ve turned thousands of ppl into kpop gg stans
It’s a nice song Just as beside I would be very happy to get this as a beside from any gg Xg have way better title tracks I wouldn’t be happy if this was thier title track either😊
I think the le sserafim song you're talking about that has an afro beat sound is Smart. It's a new b-side and is actually really good, but it's getting sm hate because ppl think they copied Tyla's Water. Tbh I do see the influence, but it doesn't even sound close to it lol. Anyways try listening to it it's so good!
i think because maybe they are so vocally deficient still. they can’t stack it and convey much emotion cause they are mainly relying on yunjin and chaewon and they’re so young still lool
@Koko3op i hated that they were basically yelling and moaning in my ear lmfao 😭 I just don't like that they included that "song" in the album at all tho. why does a mini album need an intro song? lol
I have a strange feeling with this one, something about it just doesn’t sits right with me. Personally, it kinda feels like they’re going too far off their styles to look more “hip”, as using Black artistry and imagery just for the sake of a comeback song. It just doesn’t conveys their brand and aesthetic.
I completely agree with everything you said honestly, I feel like whoever oversaw this concept is super confused with what they want to pull off, or maybe they had an idea and just didn’t execute it well. The dance doesn’t suit the girls or the tone of the song, but I feel like having slightly more variety in the vocals would’ve been an easy fix for that like you said but it feels monotone throughout the whole thing. The outfits don’t match the vibe at all, like it’s giving perfect night while the song is very much not perfect night. AND FOR THE LOVE OF GOD PLEASE MAKE THE SONGS AT LEAST 3 MINUTES
Late on this. Having watched several challenges, it's unfortunate how other dancers that have groove do literally make this look easy, and by comparison the effort by the LS is very apparent. Bless em, but LeeJung's entry? Swag vs. stick. I know that's unfair, but speaks to how the concept as a whole doesn't quite fit...
Sorry but your take on Easy is a dumb take. That's the beauty of kpop. Imagine if any of the major groups stuck to just ONE sound? Then it wouldn't be kpop. The diversity of the songs that each group puts out is what makes kpop unique. Imagine if BTS only put out ballads and poppy tracks? Nahhhh. What if BlackPink never did ballads because it's not "their thing?" The diversity of songs that each group performs is what makes kpop amazing. HORRIBLE take. Just cuz this trap beat and reto song is covered by groups like XG, groups like Le Sserafim can't do it either because they have to be pigeonholed into a "type" of music that sounds like them? Kazuha was a classically trained ballet dancer so she shouldn't experiment with anything else other than ballet? Nahhh. Thats some BULLSHIT mentality. That's MY honest review.

I see the brand thing... but i think diversifying their scope is a hybe idea that can work and make them grow as artists.
What bothers me is that it's too short and I think there's more room for adlib.
I will never get over Chaewon's charisma 😍
As much as I loved it, this whole album feels like it was made for Coachella
Strongly agree!!
Good bones is actually an intro and it has a full video that acts as a trailer for the album
Also I think Good Bones has a video, you should check it out. It was kind of a teaser for their comeback.
hiphop really looks good on the group but i love seeing chaewon doing afrobeat I was so shocked when i first saw their Smart performance YOU HAVE TO WATCH!
I like that their doing a different sound but i had the same critique. Easy is good but i was left wanting more.
The choreo for easy is perfect for them I really have to disagree, you need to watch the garage performance and see it in full i think maybe it’ll change your mind
i wish i liked it more than i do. the whole project was kinda meh for me. antifragile era was my fav
I think with this group they’re telling us they can attack any genre. They’re keeping us on our toes.
13:54 thank you
You just worded it for me
me gagging you gave black swan a 3 but this is exactly why i respect you bc you’re gonna give it raw
i think easy is a good dupe song tho lmaooo like imagine they perform this first at coachella and the yts eat it up because they love watered down stuff like that and then they do anti fragile and fearless and boom suddenly they’ve turned thousands of ppl into kpop gg stans
i agree. the heavy auto tune kind of ruins the song for me.
I didn’t feel this comeback at all, but thats ok. Im sure ill like the next one better 🤞🤞
It’s a nice song
Just as beside
I would be very happy to get this as a beside from any gg
Xg have way better title tracks I wouldn’t be happy if this was thier title track either😊
Lessarafim ❤
Watch the garage performance
that intro song made me UNCOMFORTABLE!! lmfaoooo
Haha why??
@Koko3op i hated that they were basically yelling and moaning in my ear lmfao 😭 I just don't like that they included that "song" in the album at all tho. why does a mini album need an intro song? lol
@@Lauraalinee Ohhhhh I thought you meant the one from my video hahahaha but yes I agree
totally agree with the outfits not matching the coreo lol
it’s so trappy it’s not bad tho
they ate
Please react to Psychic fever !
There are Japanese group ❤
Sooo good 👍
What is the song of your intro? I’ve been looking for it for ages! ❤️❤️
it's attitude by fromis_9!
please react to the easy garage performance
smart = water
swan song = kill bill
good bones = bad idea, right
Good bones does have a video
I have a strange feeling with this one, something about it just doesn’t sits right with me. Personally, it kinda feels like they’re going too far off their styles to look more “hip”, as using Black artistry and imagery just for the sake of a comeback song. It just doesn’t conveys their brand and aesthetic.
the mv is kinda not in the vibe of the song.
me rewatching as if i didn't alr watch this on patreon
You’re a real one!!!!
Touch some grass babe looool
@@Koko3op You butt hurt?
Another tiktok songs
truly awful! i don’t think there’s a strong enough word to describe this company’s output
LOOOOOOL fr
This concept and sound doesn’t fit them at all.
Easy reminds me of Justin bieber‘s yummy.Kinda lame.
