Please do PPF on the front end, if not at least on top of the windshield. If you plan on doing road trips, those roofs rust FAST due to rock chips. Mercedes Sucks when it comes to painting these. Our 2021 Sprinter which is used commercially but locally, is rusting like hell on the top.

I work in Germany as a car painter and we paint multiple fiberglass roofs a year for Mercedes V-Classes. Looks like after a certain time, they start leaking like shit. And since they cant remove them, without destroying them, they have to glue in a complete new roof every time.

I highly suggest checking your weights before you tow again. GVWR is 11030 on a 3500XD. GCWR (max weight of van plus trailer) is 15,250. Max tow capacity is 7500lbs. Make sure you are under ALL weights.
Those are not the upfit van. They are for sure over. They need an aluminum trailer and they might be able to tow the lighter cars. Who spends 150k doing zero research
@goonzquad needs to see this, the rated towing capacity of that van is exactly 5000 pounds. They are way overloaded and the result could be catastrophic.
I've driven many Sprinter Limos. Excellent comfortable drive, excellent choice. You will love it.

I have been watching your channel for years - ever since you worked on those Jeeps. You have come so far from humble beginnings. You seem to have everything you really need in life - a house, many supercars, a boat etc. I was thinking it would be great if you could fix up a car for somebody in need - I think people who watch this channel would really love that. That wouldn’t be smart. Anything can happen and whoever they fix the car for could have an accident then blame them if they got hurt saying it wasn’t fixed right or something. Maybe if everyone wasn’t so ready to screw each other over but they honestly shouldn’t even think about fixing a car for anyone.
Nobody laughs at my conversion van anymore, after going on a long trip with me around the country. Luxury, convenience, comfort ... beats fighting airline BS and you always have a comfortable seat, bed, and bathroom at your beckon call. Hope you enjoy it like I do mine (and mine aint half as big as yours !!).

Been saying for a while, that would be interesting building a Sprinter tow rig, retrofitting the interior of an S-Class. Would be cheaper as providing plenty of content.

Add a roof rack to it and putt some Thule’s on top maybe solar panel so that way you can store luggage on top , also have additional electricity in case batteries go out . And maybe some new wheels ! Love the van ! Y’all should tour to coos bay Oregon! They have the best dunes here !!!!

I have the same van. Max towing is 5k and max tongue wait is 500lbs. These things are not trucks and do not have frames like a truck. They are unibody, monocoque bodies and the extended van you are driving can be destroyed by overloading the tongue. Also, you cannot use weight distribution hitches on these. Just an FYI.

That van is on another level. I am definitely jealous. I looked at those vans years ago and back then the only thing that did not work that well was the AC. It had a great turning radius which is very important when you have any kind of van. Another issue I had with them is they would not discount the price at all. I ended up buying a Ford van with all leather interior that was all factory and I loved it. It even had rear AC so you were always comfortable. Of course it was nothing like what you have but for me at the time I could not have been happier with the Ford.

Years ago I bought an older 2000 Chevy Express Hightop Conversion Van for my daughter’s travel softball. Absolutely my favorite vehicle I ever owned and it was nowhere near this van.

Max towing 7700lbs (with Euro hitch) on a empty Sprinter, yours has much added weight but you stap a 8-9k load on it…… They just can’t tow the weights you guys want/need, the construction of the van is just not there to handle the weight

You should consider a weight distribution hitch. Trailer more stable and will drive better. Recommendations B&H out of Topeka Kansas. Best hitch easy install.

Yo you guys should get a black enclosed trailer that is blacked out like the van and then get some rims on the trailer and van that match !!!! Put it on some sick 22 inch dually rims and singles on the front and trailer !!!! They do sell aluminum enclosed car trailers too !!!! I'm telling you I would be worth getting an enclosed trailer that was everything like luggage tools and everything else stays dry !!!!!
