This bug has been in the game since the Sticky Fingers rework release, and its not the only bug you can do with the sf.

For those asking why it works so well, one of the moves, Tornado Overdrive, is an anti-Timestop move. It helps take care of one of the ONLY major weaknesses of MIH as well as has the highest level of Hamon Punch possible and Zoom Punch to start/extend combos, something MIH also tends to struggle with.
TL;DR, It covers all of MIH's weak points, which is why its so broken.
