I’m disabled and can’t take the cold, and I can’t work, so while on the road I’m planning on doing a video diary. I love the mindset of “if people watch, cool. If not, oh well. I’ll be able to look back on these memories and smile.” And I love that you stress that in your video. If you put to much stress on “being famous” or “going viral” it’ll either never happen, or when it does, you won’t care, because you’ll only care about doing it again. 💜

I've been watching since the viral knitting video. Every. Single. Video. And then went back and watched the ones I missed. I've taken my art business to Live Facebook videos and now TH-cam. I LOVE everything you've said here. I've been at it for 7 years and just started the social media video aspect for the past two. It has paid off in spades for my business. I love my core people! I'm still trying to get off the ground on TH-cam, but I'm almost there. I've made it enough that my husband could retire and work with me full time. I'm 57 years old. It's never too late. Thank you for this video! But....I will watch whatever you do! You're my people!
For other small creators, something that caught me off guard is how many people will reach out trying to take advantage of you . I can't count how many times someone has messaged me saying they have this great idea or need this huge game project made but they can't pay untill it's successful . Or how many creators will offer to Collaborate but contribute or offer very little or anything at all in return . Just remember what Brandon said about deep connections. Don't be afraid to work with others, but be careful and stand up for what you deserve.

This was honestly so helpful! I'm trying to build my platform in Instagram and TH-cam and it can definitely get discouraging when you create a video that you thoroughly enjoyed filming and it doesn't get as much attention as you thought. Just keep chugging along to live the life you want!

So many resources on 'how to TH-cam' talk about the importance of finding what gets you lots of views, then keep doing that. It was very refreshing to hear you talk about being successful by making videos that make you happy instead of compromising to feed the algorithm. My videos require a lot of research and preparation (it is a core aspect of my homeschooling), so daily uploads is not something I can manage currently, but I've been consistently uploading videos at least weekly for the last 2.5 years and am very proud of my journey so far. I often times don't leave comments because I'm sad and need distraction and just want to get lost in the sauce so to speak lol but I really appreciate you and your content and I have for the last 5 or 6 years and you never fail to make my day brighter. I also really appreciate this because I've thought for many years about starting a TH-cam channel and Twitch channel but I can never commit to getting started because I just worry that I have no clue what I'm doing and what if I mess up or something very small but it's a reason to give in to fear and stuff because I truthfully didn't know where to start or what to even do and I really appreciate this video because as I'm sitting eating leftover chili it was so awesome to hear the truth and what goes on and what to truly expect. I suffer from anxiety and depression and my brain can be a bit of a jerk and come up with so many reasons not to but TH-cam and twitch are things I would really like to start doing more for myself than chasing fame and its good to hear that if that's what I want then over time then I can reap the rewards and gain knowledge and skills I probably wouldn't get without it and a community that is supportive and we could help each other. I lost my house and some of my animals in a house fire about 4 years ago and when I found u on Facebook u help me get thru my hard time I am still going through it but u definitely make it easier...i cant thank you enough bro!!!

This was honestly so helpful! I'm trying to build my platform in Instagram and TH-cam and it can definitely get discouraging when you create a video that you thoroughly enjoyed filming and it doesn't get as much attention as you thought. Just keep chugging along to live the life you want!

Brandon, thank you for this wonderful video. As someone working very hard to grow my own community, this video really resonated with me. So many resources on 'how to TH-cam' talk about the importance of finding what gets you lots of views, then keep doing that. It was very refreshing to hear you talk about being successful by making videos that make you happy instead of compromising to feed the algorithm. My videos require a lot of research and preparation (it is a core aspect of my homeschooling), so daily uploads is not something I can manage currently, but I've been consistently uploading videos at least weekly for the last 2.5 years and am very proud of my journey so far. I know you have a fear of snakes, but if you ever want to address that fear I will be happy to help show you how wonderful they really are! Thank you again for this video!

I really wish I was there with you in the beginning but I will admit, those daily uploads were how I woke up every morning. My alarm would go off and I would lay there and wake up laughing to you doing whatever ridiculous task that day and it made everyday just that much brighter. I often times don't leave comments because I'm sad and need distraction and just want to get lost in the sauce so to speak lol but I really appreciate you and your content and I have for the last 5 or 6 years and you never fail to make my day brighter. I also really appreciate this because I've thought for many years about starting a TH-cam channel and Twitch channel but I can never commit to getting started because I just worry that I have no clue what I'm doing and what if I mess up or something very small but it's a reason to give in to fear and stuff because I truthfully didn't know where to start or what to even do and I really appreciate this video because as I'm sitting eating leftover chili it was so awesome to hear the truth and what goes on and what to truly expect. I suffer from anxiety and depression and my brain can be a bit of a jerk and come up with so many reasons not to but TH-cam and twitch are things I would really like to start doing more for myself than chasing fame and its good to hear that if that's what I want then over time then I can reap the rewards and gain knowledge and skills I probably wouldn't get without it and a community that is supportive and we could help each other.

This was the most entertaining *and* informative video I’ve watched about this stuff. I’ve been getting into animation and the one thing that kept stopping me from creating and uploading anything was fear/anxiety. Fear that I couldn’t make something ‘good enough’ or ‘viral enough’ to be worth posting. This video was really helpful and it’s given me a boost to start working on making my first animation to post that *I* wanna post and feel passionate about.
