This is 100% my Vader with my black series display. I love all the options for how you can pose him. Even with the hands on the belt look. And just having that thin wire in the cape makes all the difference in the world.
I kinda get the feeling, that the import companys are giving us versions of vader, how we picture him in our head, tall, broad shoulders, athletic build, super movable, super threatening...the details are all super accurat to the movies but they transformed him into what we imagine vader to be in our heads because he is so awesome and thats how the movies made him look by making use of clever camera angles and shots. With the 40th anniversary version on the other hand I think hasbro came closest to replicating how he propaply lookes on set: a tall dude, sure, but trapped in a puffy big suit hindering his movements, with a giant Helmet on his head throwing of his proportions and making his shoulders look low and slim and so much cloth around his torso that he by far could not have the V-shape hero proportions...might be wrong here but that is the vibe I am getting from those comparison shots...
You are probably absolutely right. I'll be the first person to say that I probably have this mental image of Vader that I'm always trying to project on my figures, and it's probably not accurate to what actually appeared on screen.
I wasn't sure I liked this figure at first, but he looks pretty darn awesome posed in those pictures at the end. And I do like how the red lenses look here. Very cool.
The reason I may choose this one over the black series one is because I love the red lenses. Has a more menacing and it reminds me of the Rouge One hallway scene
It had to be done. I bought this online 5 minutes into your video. Paused the video, made my purchase and sat back to another great Robo review. I'm poor now after everything else that I've bought, but very happy.
My only quibble with this Darth is the fact that being a Rogue One Darth; his gown does not come down over his armor. This is what it looks like in the film/A New Hope and on the Black Series figure. If they had only made the "skirt" material too like the Black Series; we would of had a perfect recreation from the film. Oh Well, that's enough Geekiness for the day. I'm so excited about the Red eyes though. How easily I'm amused.
Great review! I personally like the head sculpt from the Bandai model kit due to its proportions and flared out helmet, but the red lenses on this Mafex do look pretty awesome.
The only time I can remember it standing out at me was when he was in his TIE, but yeah, the red just makes it a little more sinister. And it ties it to his lightsaber in a way. And reminds me of his last scene in Rogue One. ALL good things.
I used the first black series cape on my Bandai model kit Vader and then painted the lenses high gloss deep red. I feel that the model kit still rains supreme.
This is going to be my first Vader. I’m very picky on the symmetry between the helmet and the mask which I have found disappointing to me until I found this one a few weeks ago. Didn’t really like the red lenses but have grown to like them.
Just got this bad boy all joints nice and tight comes with a slew of accessories and his eyes look soooo sweet! Hands down best vader to add with my black series and 6inch line soooo happy i watched this review...multiple times robbes thanks brotha! Oh and his friggin lightsabers is gorgeous i feel like a weirdo staring at it lol
I want to buy it but it isn't 100% screen accurate to Rogue One and I'm a stickler for the minuscule details! In Rogue One and Ep 4 the cloth goes over the chest piece. I'm episode 5 the chest piece is fully exposed lime it is here.
@@zacharndt9221 Yeah that's the biggest inaccuracy on the figure by a long shot, honestly if you can overlook that though I'd say go for it. The face is allot more like Vader than almost any other figure imo and the red tint on the eyes really make it pop out compared to others.
Went to my local store and saw this in the packaging. Wasn't sure what to expect because it looked very similar to the first previous Mafex Darth Vader with the small head, but after seeing this glad that my worries were unfounded. MIght just have to pick this up now
IT could be argued that the head is still small but this is better than the first MAFEX because the face doesn't look small inside the top of the helmet. That was my biggie there, this fixes that beautifully.
This will not only be my first modern Darth Vader action figure it will also be my first Mafex action figure ... really looking forward to this ( eventually ) showing up in the mail . Hoping it scales well with my current SH Figuarts Star Wars figures .
Rogue One Vader's head is EASILY removable and cape is a separate piece that slips right off! You can easily replace with an after market or home made cape!! Beautiful!!
Got a soft goods 'Bandai Model Kit Darth Vader' cape from ebay seller gpslot for $12.99 on the way. Dimensions seem right. Bought a couple of their Samurai Vader capes and they are really nice.
Looks like they went for the preliminary look for Vader from Rogue One. Before the Lucasfilm realised the cape was over the chest armour. At least with the Hot Toys that can be corrected. Shame as that would have truly been a nice unique look to this Vader.
This is the best darth vader 6 inch figure I ever seen! Its a lot better than the others excpet the 40th vader, that one is my favorite too,but the mafex rogue one vader, its just too awesome!!!
Loving the red lenses. I didn't order this one after the QC issues Rey had. Now I'm going to have to, depending on what the Force Friday Figuarts offerings are like.
I like the revenge of the Sith mafex version the most so far. The proportions on the chest just looked goofy next to your comparisons. The atheistic of the rots is great
Wait...Robo...you JUST noticed the MTFBWY on the inside of the SW MAFEX package flaps? They've done that for a few figures already! (Then again I know you don't care much about packaging so hey what are you gonna do) In other news I've been waiting for someone to get their hands on this cause I've wanted to see how it turned out for a while now. Sure am glad you ended up being the first. Great review as usual!
Haha, yeah, I usually open from the front, don't pay much attention, but I happened to lay the open box down in a way that showed it right in my face. Awesome little add though! And I'm glad I could help!
Is that plastic skirt piece able to come apart if you take apart the torso and legs? Would love to know so I can take the cloth skirt from the 40th and give it to this Mafex and then....the perfect Vader.
I tried looking to see if the belt/skirt comes off and it doesn't look like it does. Or if it does it's glued six ways to Sunday. I had the same thought.
I’m gonna paint the shoulder pads the same “gunmetal” as the chest and leave the raised parts black. Really make it a true ep4 style Vader since he had those colored pads. Note: I won’t do that as I realize the choice for black pads stays in line with the design choice of the only silver on him being in his torso and not limbs.
No. And it can't. The under robe on a Vader consume is quite thick and when they dressed him, was laid over the top of the armour. The only thing that moves in the film is the plastic cape chain that seems to move up under the base of the helmet in the scenes on the Death Star.
now which Vader should I get, Revenge of the Sith version or Rogue One version, I'm looking forward to display him against my Figmas in a big all out war diorama.
I got this in the mail a few days ago and holy crap is this figure amazing. It's like a mini Hot Toys. The level of realism reminds me of when I opened up the SHF Maul. The head is perfect. The red eyes are menacing and awesome. The hand choices add a lot of flair to him as well. I was doing some poses and got some nice Rogue One and ESB type of poses going on like reaching out to Luke at the end of the battle. Only thing I am struggling with is the cape. I can't get it to lay as flat as I'd like but it does look good sort of blowing in the wind. Just hard to wrangle it. This blows away all other Vaders. One thing I thought would bother me from seeing it in your review but ended up not being as bad in person is the wrist articulation gap. Not so bad when you actually get it in hand.
About the cape, if it's like the first one, the cape connects to two little pegs (that are glued in) and shouldn't be very secure. With a bit of finesse, you can pop the connectors off and swap it with the new Black Series cape (I swapped the capes between the two, the 40th BS and original Mafex, and I prefer both figures with the new capes)
This one almost feel like there is just a hole in the cape over the neck peg. I can rotate the cape around the neck to bring it over his shoulder, or sweep it back to uncover everything.
Came here after the showdown. This will be my main, I were going to get the definitive look for me for each character, until I realised it's nearly all a new hope apart from Luke which I wanted the jedi version so on my character shelf I'll have new hope crew with people like lando. Then jedi Luke fighting troj model kit Vader cus I think it'll be a fun build.
This looks amazing! Love the red lenses and personally feel it's on par with the new BS Vader. While the BS Vader still has its place in my display, I just can't put this one down with how fun and dynamic it feels. This is probably the definitive import Vader by far, at least until we get new ones announced haha!
The 40th' cape is meant to be kind of folded over itself, to give it a kind of pleated look. It's a nice effect, but you have to play around with it to get it to look right.
All I keep thinking is how nice that robe looks on your Palpatine. If you get the chance do mind saying where you grabbed that from? Nice review btw, I'll have to get this Vader for sure.
That pose you did at the end of him walking forward....damn that's "dynamic" as f#*% man! XD All seriousness, SHF "will TRY" (see what I did there?) to do a better Vader, but I don't think it gets much better than this guy. I am over the moon with this figure man. It is a grand slam as far as I'm concerned.
There's been some nice SW Sideshow figures released/announced. You taken a look? Gunna pick any up? I've ordered the Han stormtrooper disguise. Tempted by the GrandMoffTarkin & Vader double pack.
It is worth picking this guy up to replace my original Mafex Vader? Feeling frisky on Force Friday and might order this guy, but I'm not sure if he's that much better than the old Vader to warrant the purchase, ya know. Great review and comparisons as always.
Very nice! Hasbro Vader looks like an out of shape cosplayer. The minor detail with the cloak over the armor doesn't make up for the rest of it's nonsense. Nah, MAFEX takes it easily. Any reviews for the MAFEX Deathtrooper and Shoretrooper coming? Thanks!! Mine are still on their way from Japan...
I just got back from the front door, grabbing my Shoretrooper from DHL. And then the Death Trooper came with the Vader. I can't decide which to open first, I'm so excited....
I'll have that moment in about a week or two. That's what I get for trying to save $5 on shipping, considering I dropped $140 on three plastic dolls. Have fun and let us know!!
Haha, yeah, I figure if I'm already dropping this much money on figures I better get them as fast as possible. And DHL is now about the same price as EMS, but no customs as far as I can tell. I got the Scarif in two days flat.
Hi! I finally got this Darth Vader, but it's missing it's left shoulder pad. Do You know if Medicom would send me a replacement or something? Oh and Merry Christmas!
After watching your reviews, I broke down and imported a few of them... and maybe I am a little OCD, I noticed the same factory mistake for all of them, and actually yours have the same error too; the gun metal silver in center of the chest armor is painted over the black area on the right side. Not a big deal, still a nice figure regardless, just QC issues again
The tunic should be over the armor not under it. That’s how it is in Rogue One and A New Hope. Also you can see how red his lenses really are during the Vader’s Castle scene on Mustafar in Rogue One. They are pretty red.
I love the proportions of this so much! From the front view he looks (depending I guess on the fiddling with the vanilla pose) but he looks broad and buff like a body builder. Something about the way the cape doesn't fall down and puffs a bit makes it kinda dynamic in correct placement and the head sculpt is amazing. Not liking the rubber under robe skirt thing and the Mafex drop down hinge legs seem more fiddly as a result. How easy is it to pose this? Particularly in the leg area does it get frustrating at all because the rubber robes? I ask because this one is super expensive and even if it has more articulation than the Black Series I don't wanna deal with too much tedious posing. I like a figure I can pose and play with without getting too frustrated with finnicky articulation Might just get this
I'll admit, the legs are kind of fiddly to get to pose, but only because you're working around the lower robes. That and it seems back heavy, I guess because of the cape. Totally worth it when you nail the pose though.
The Fwoosh I'm still debating with this or the Black Series. I can always mod the bottom robe of his legs (is the "brief" piece and rubber robes separate from the crotch piece that has the joints for the hips?) Man can't stop looking at that helmet 😍
The Fwoosh I don't know. It looks like an entirely different sculpt to me. Anyway, my Mafex dark knight rises Batman from 2013 just became a double amputee a few minutes ago, so I'm not feeling any confidence in Medicoms' Mafex line. Rather just spend $20 on the Black series and call it a life. Good review👍
I know someone selling this figure only he customized it with the 40th’s tunic which removes Dad bod look. He’s offering to sell it for $63. Everything else is original and has all hands, both sabers and box. What do you think? To me it looks exactly like his final scene where all is shown. If anyone wants to help me with my question, just show ask and I’ll post pics on Google+ or email. Have to decide soon.
More money I'm going to have to spend!! Looks better than the 1st Mafex Vader and much better articulation than the 40th Anniversary. I just can't get that one in a pose that looks just right. Until I get this it's still the model kit for me, with cloth instead of the plastic. That being said I have the Revoltech, both Black Series, first Mafex and the model kit all displayed on different shelves!! Can't have too many Vaders!! Lol
I almost want it just for that head and lenses. Everything else I'm happy with the new BS. But damn that head is exceptional. I wish domestic figures had the crossed arm accessories. Though my preference is the Storm and DBZ SHF style of using the shoulders as the swap point.
Robo, you know how you said sh figuarts troopers seem a little short?, well I got the figuarts Rogue One storm trooper and compared it to the model kit stormtrooper and I was a little surprised they are actually almost the same height for some reason, BTW im not trying to persuade you to get it.
The Fwoosh, I was only saying that because with its release being back in January or February, on ebay I have still seen it go up as high as in the $60 range to the $70 range. :-)
Ok Robo, I absolutely LOVE this Vader and one day, maybe soon, I'll have him, but is the first Mafex Vader good enough to buy right NOW? I recently found one someone was selling on Instagram for a really great price and I don't have him. I know that this Vader clearly beats out the 40th, but I don't have the first Mafex Vader or model kit. Only the 40th and the crappy 2014 BS one. Help? Lol
Nice I'm still mad at HLJ for taking it away from me when I already paid and it was in my private warehouse! That, my Macross VF-1J w strike parts, my Shfiguarts Spider-Man Homecoming, my Shfiguarts C3PO and R2-D2, and some Transformers! All because of a mistake on their part. I ni longer will buy from them they totally screwed me when I bought just about $350 to $400 a month off them every month like clockwork for over 3 years. Part that Really upsets me is that I had preorders from them that I can't easily get anymore. . Anyways great review I may find a source buy I'm happy with my current Black Series Vader atm anyway (now that I have to be lol)
Hmm.. while the folding arms don't seem bad, I wish they would have had them connect up into the shoulders... much like the ones that come with certain SH Figuarts Dragon Ball Z figures. Those seem to work and look much better than Mafex's version of the same thing. But, like I said, not bad but a little more annoying to fit on than it needed to be.
This is 100% my Vader with my black series display. I love all the options for how you can pose him. Even with the hands on the belt look. And just having that thin wire in the cape makes all the difference in the world.
wow that is an impressive Vader figure, Every new figure i get tends to be my new favorite lol
Haha, we have a problem.
Most impressive...
Again the very best in the business when it comes to figure commentary. I look forward to every video. Thank you Robo.
No problem man, I'm glad you dig them!
I wasn't sure I liked this figure at first, but he looks pretty darn awesome posed in those pictures at the end. And I do like how the red lenses look here. Very cool.

Oh, I'm right there with you, the red eyes tickle me silly.
Great review! I personally like the head sculpt from the Bandai model kit due to its proportions and flared out helmet, but the red lenses on this Mafex do look pretty awesome.
Yeah, that flare is another big point of disagreement with a lot of people.
I really dig the eye lenses!
Same here, that may just be my favorite part.
To me, they are very sith, I really don't understand why people complain so much about the red lenses in general.

I wonder if you could use the cloth robes from the black series Vader on this one cause in the movie the robes were worn over the armor
This video convinced me to buy this figure, its absolutely my favourite one I own. Looks exactly like Vader, such an amazing figure
I want to buy it but it isn't 100% screen accurate to Rogue One and I'm a stickler for the minuscule details! In Rogue One and Ep 4 the cloth goes over the chest piece. I'm episode 5 the chest piece is fully exposed lime it is here.

I gotta wait for that Figuarts Vader but this is damn tempting.
aah the vader that i always picture in my mind as a figure, too bad i can't get it soon enough
Another great and original review from the one and only fwoosh, this figure looks amazing im selling some of my figures just to get this guy.

IT could be argued that the head is still small but this is better than the first MAFEX because the face doesn't look small inside the top of the helmet. That was my biggie there, this fixes that beautifully.
I might get this just to customize it for perfect Episode V Vader. Damn I like the look.
Black Series Vader still gets my money. Nice figure tho
Can totally see that. Different strokes for different sith lords.
Why?
I'm gunna be coping the mayfex
In terms of the lightsaber I always think 'if they used it in the film the figure will have it' and spoiler alert he does use it.
I really wish I had this darth Vader it's my favorite so far.
I like how he's hunched like the real actor in rogue one
He looks amazing brother!!! The new king of the hill...
For now, haha.
This will not only be my first modern Darth Vader action figure it will also be my first Mafex action figure ... really looking forward to this ( eventually ) showing up in the mail . Hoping it scales well with my current SH Figuarts Star Wars figures .
I use the SHF humans with the Black Series and MAFEX, this fits in well.
5:18 the eyes can be seen
Very cool
Odd that the mask can’t be taken off but they included a head sculpt
Vaders hilt hands from the emitter, anakins hangs from the bottom. It’s like poetry.
Black Series 40th Darth for me just picked mine up today
Your voice is so high😂 I was watching your old videos and holy moly dude it’s crazy how squeaky you sound compare to now
It's a damnamic figure haha. Awesome review as always robo. Really cool looking figure
Rogue One Vader's head is EASILY removable and cape is a separate piece that slips right off! You can easily replace with an after market or home made cape!! Beautiful!!

Alejandro Zindel what about the bandai model
I want to get just 1 main Darth Vader in 6 inch scale, would you say this is it?
the cloth is not hanging over the shoulder plate
Yeah, I think they were working off some preliminary sketches or something. That or just wanted to make an amalgam Vader that would work for everyone.
My favorite vader is the hasbro i think wave 5? Idk the one with the removable mask. The mafex red eyes on are sick tho.
Loving the red lenses. I didn't order this one after the QC issues Rey had. Now I'm going to have to, depending on what the Force Friday Figuarts offerings are like.
Yeah, it's weird going into Force Friday not having a clue what Bandai is doing. And they haven't announced anything in a bit, could be anything.
13:58 is it just me or does that saber look purple?
Bit late lol but yeah, red translucent plastic + blue backgrounds = purple light entering the lens.
Something about the chest piece fill caved… love the eyes
...so freaking tempting. I only have room for one Vader in my collection and I'm torn between this one and the newer Revenge of the Sith version
I don't have the ROTS version but I assume it's the same as the first MAFEX version. I like this more than that version.
...oh no, they made serious improvements, but I need to see them side by side
I like the revenge of the Sith mafex version the most so far. The proportions on the chest just looked goofy next to your comparisons. The atheistic of the rots is great
Yeah, looking at pics of the ROTS, the chest piece there looks nice. But that's the only difference between it and the original MAFEX.

It is a nice figure sculpt. But how did they get the under robe wrong? Both ANH and R1 Vader has the under robe OVER the chest armor.
Doesn't it pop under the chest armor later in ANH?
No. And it can't. The under robe on a Vader consume is quite thick and when they dressed him, was laid over the top of the armour. The only thing that moves in the film is the plastic cape chain that seems to move up under the base of the helmet in the scenes on the Death Star.
helmet visor red painting or transparent red?
Transparent.
Hey Robo, can you tell if the rubber Kama/skirt of Darth Vader is glued or attached to his waist? Thanks
I can't tell if it's one piece or glued, but it is STUCK! I thought about putting the 40th robe on but there is absolutely no gap at all.
now which Vader should I get, Revenge of the Sith version or Rogue One version, I'm looking forward to display him against my Figmas in a big all out war diorama.
I'd say Rogue One, the RotS still uses the older style helmet and older sculpt.
@@TheFwoosh is the articulation better than the older one? I want the option of having a maskless Anakin. But I need him to be able to kneel
The lenses were that red in Rogue One.

Do a tour of your filming studio.
You mean the desk with the foam on the wall, or the green screen in my bedroom? Haha.
What is the best 6inch Darth Vader? Hmm 🤔
No one knows!
This looks amazing! Love the red lenses and personally feel it's on par with the new BS Vader. Yup and yup, you nailed it on the head!
I Don't Know, One Of The Big Drawbacks 4 Me Was The Amount Of Cloth For The 40th Anniversary. Is That A Problem For This Figure?
This doesn't have the cloth under robe like the 40th. Which is a good or bad thing, depending on your preferences.
No, I Meant More About How His Cape
It has a little more life to it than the 40th Vader. There it just lays down, here it can be kind of posed.
Yeah? Maybe This IS A Buy, I Just Had The Problem Of The 40ths Cape Just Being Way Too Poofy, Like It Doesn't Want To Lay Down Behind Vader
I got that off ebay, seller was rickhor409. He does a lot of custom robes and capes, everything I've gotten from him has been super nice.
Did you see the pic of him sitting on the park bench, feeding birds? DYNAMIC!!!! Haha!
XD maaaaaaaan that one was the TITS!!!!
There's been some nice SW Sideshow figures released/announced. You taken a look? Gunna pick any up?
I've ordered the Han stormtrooper disguise. Tempted by the GrandMoffTarkin & Vader double pack.
Too rich for my blood, but they sure are pretty.
**sigh** There's always a better Vader...
And a bigger fish.
The Fwoosh always a bigger fish
I just ordered my Mafex Rogue One Vader. Is it possible to switch the Mafex head to the 40th Black Series one?
You probably could. I don't think the joints match but it could probably be customized to fit.
I hope SH figuarts gonna come up with a new improved Darth Vader.
They are, a Rogue One version. Unfortunately it's head looks more like the Star Wars Rebels version of Vader.
Marco Ivancic source?
there will be an A New Hope version to be released April 2018
It is worth picking this guy up to replace my original Mafex Vader? Feeling frisky on Force Friday and might order this guy, but I'm not sure if he's that much better than the old Vader to warrant the purchase, ya know. Great review and comparisons as always.
I have the old one and this just works so much better.
The Fwoosh lol good, because I sold my old Mafex Vader to help pay for this guy. He's in the mail with my SHF droids! ;)
Oh, and I couldn't decide, so I did both, heh.
Both reviews eased my mind. The red lenses = cool!!! Noticed 40th anniversary Hasbro Vader on clearance at Walmart. Says it all. Thanks!!
The helmet peg hole is D for Darth.
Bwahaha!
Hi! I finally got this Darth Vader, but it's missing it's left shoulder pad. Do You know if Medicom would send me a replacement or something? Oh and Merry Christmas!
Or should I contact the seller? (HobbyLink)
I like a figure I can pose and play with without getting too frustrated with finnicky articulation
Might just get this
I'll admit, the legs are kind of fiddly to get to pose, but only because you're working around the lower robes. That and it seems back heavy, I guess because of the cape. Totally worth it when you nail the pose though.
The Fwoosh
I'm still debating with this or the Black Series.
I can always mod the bottom robe of his legs (is the "brief" piece and rubber robes separate from the crotch piece that has the joints for the hips?)
Man can't stop looking at that helmet 😍
The last Vader?
What about the Revenge of the Sith Vader MAFEX figure?
That one is essentially the first MAFEX reissued with a few tweaks.
The Fwoosh
I don't know.
Solid review hippy daddy.
Yes the lightsaber's imitator is facing upward is correct.
Sweet. That's another one of those little things I've never noticed before.
Watching your reflection I notice that you move your hands a lot even when you aren't in front of the camera.
I do it when I'm talking anywhere and any time, especially when I'm excited about talking about something, haha.
Impressive most impressive
they got the suit wrong in this figure Vader was wearing the new hope costume with the tunic over the chest plate.
That's not a bad price for a stock MAFEX, and if it's modified to be even better, I'd say go for it.
how did you get it????
I ordered it from HLJ.
Man, i want this, but that damn skirt kills it for me. Guess ill be going with the 40th black series.
Eh. Chest armor looks odd to me. The head is a great shape. I like the red too. It just looks small. The hands look detached with the gap.
Someone tell me where I can get a cheap price cause it’s mostly 70+ on eBay and Amazon
I NEED IT!
are his arms bulkier than the original one? they look bigger, great review as always man
Just slightly, not by much. Thanks!
Phil Micklewright but they did one Batman in scale with their 1/12 Bat vehicle... it wasn't that good
It could’ve been the definitive 6 inch Vader but that beer gut 😭
they got it wrong, the helmet sure matches Vader's from RO and IV, but the cape-armor is basically ESB/ROTJ
I think if you use the skirt from the black series darth vader on this darth vader, you will get the perfect darth vader
I'm starting to think that you really like the skirt from the Black Series Darth Vader, haha.
Hey Foosh. Is this still your favorite Darth Vader years later?
More money I'm going to have to spend!! Looks better than the 1st Mafex Vader and much better articulation than the 40th Anniversary. I just can't get that one in a pose that looks just right. Until I get this it's still the model kit for me, with cloth instead of the plastic. That being said I have the Revoltech, both Black Series, first Mafex and the model kit all displayed on different shelves!! Can't have too many Vaders!! Lol
That's exactly right, never too many Vaders! One for any occasion!
I can’t find this one and I got rots mafex vader
I almost want it just for that head and lenses. Everything else I'm happy with the new BS. But damn that head is exceptional.
I wish domestic figures had the crossed arm accessories. Though my preference is the Storm and DBZ SHF style of using the shoulders as the swap point.
I'm with you, that arms crossed style seems like it would be less obtrusive and stressful on the arms.
With picture of the 4 vaders...the 4th one looks more menacing and vader looking🤔
Yeah, the model kit does look imposing with it's deep, shiny black.
Robo, you know how you said sh figuarts troopers seem a little short?, well I got the figuarts Rogue One storm trooper and compared it to the model kit stormtrooper and I was a little surprised they are actually almost the same height for some reason, BTW im not trying to persuade you to get it.
What? You can't say that and then say you're not trying to persuade me! The very act of telling me that is persuading me!
The Fwoosh, I was only saying that because with its release being back in January or February, on ebay I have still seen it go up as high as in the $60 range to the $70 range. :-)
Love ya Robo
Ok Robo, I absolutely LOVE this Vader and one day, maybe soon, I'll have him, but is the first Mafex Vader good enough to buy right NOW? I recently found one someone was selling on Instagram for a really great price and I don't have him. I know that this Vader clearly beats out the 40th, but I don't have the first Mafex Vader or model kit. Only the 40th and the crappy 2014 BS one. Help? Lol
Koji Gritton Will do! And Robo, I still would love to hear your opinion too. Lol
Koji Gritton you got it, big guy 👍
Haha, sounds like you've got it taken care of here. Sounds like a good combo.
I still think the model kit, with a little work and TLC, is the best 6in Vader figure.
Hmmm, that's kind of insane. I've never dealt with the warehouse option, gotta have my stuff as soon as it releases, haha.
Hmm.. while the folding arms don't seem bad, I wish they would have had them connect up into the shoulders... much like the ones that come with certain SH Figuarts Dragon Ball Z figures. Those seem to work and look much better than Mafex's version of the same thing. But, like I said, not bad but a little more annoying to fit on than it needed to be.
Exactly, a little more work and it would work so much better.
Put that head on the anniversary black series and give him the mafex saber
