I remember going to west Georgia back in the 90’s, from Fayetteville, and everyone telling me not to speed in whitesburg. It’s been a known thing for a very long time.

For a while ...in 1980's...population at the time 92...tried to recruit me for town cop...house, police car,daily free lunch at bar..... salary was 100% of speeding tickets....yup...nice place, nice people...always thought I might move back there
The biggest draw for the last 40 years + is the dirt track to the right of the last gas station. It would've been nice to get the Beverage bank and Banning mills in the video.

Whitesburg is a very small town but it’s nestled in between three bigger cities about 20 min. away in either direction. It has a handful of restaurants, a dollar general, a vape shop and a dollar general…. That’s about it! My sister and her family live there and we live about 15 min away. If you are used to small town living, you will love it!
I’ve lived in Whitesburg my entire life and most of what people say about it isn’t entirely true. The speed limit is strictly enforced on the main road, but it is a school zone and a handful of people walk a good bit. That being said Whitesburg is my home town and I absolutely love the video showing the town I grew up in, and I’d be happy to tell you some history about it.
No, it’s Carroll County….. and if you look at the state map, it is above the central part of the state, which is more north than south and on the west side…. What would you consider it to be?
Its considered west ga not NW. To be technical its west central. You droce by my childhood home. The thing about whitesburg is there is tons of established families with deep roots. Its hard to be an outsider there. The people are very racist too.

Yes it has!! I got a speeding ticket in Whitesburg back in the day (State Trooper) and I definitely learned my lesson lol
