- Hathor (ḥwt-ḥr) in Egyptian language was one of the most important and complex goddesses of ancient Egypt. She was the mother goddess who created and maintained all life on earth.
In addition she was the symbolic mother of every king who ruled Egypt since early history.
Hathor is usually portrayed as a cow or a woman with a cow's head or horns. Some statues show her as a cow suckling the king with the milk of life.
The Egyptians associated the goddess with sexual love, and her festivals included singing, dancing, and drunken ceremonies. The ancient Greeks identified Hathor with their own goddess of love, Aphrodite.
Hathor amulets were highly significant in ancient Egyptian culture. Amulets representing Hathor were believed to carry her protective and beneficial powers.

Questa divinità, è ricca di simboli non facilmente interpretabili ...il volto possiede tratti animaleschi, adornato da diversi diademi ...si riconosce "la porta", o più precisamente "la falsa porta", presente in tantissimi luoghi, questa è la soglia dove passano le anime, ed effettivamente in una delle immagini da te mostrate, si vede quello che sembra essere un "capovolto" .

Cow represents the mother and child concept. Just like Isis, Ishthar, etc. She is nurturing and loving.
Also everything in the universal order is male and female, so cow and bull is too. 😊
