Music for Russ Is Right Open:
(TH-cam royalty-free music): "Leslie's Strut" by John Deley and the 41 Players
This mic sounds better.
I don’t hear a much of a difference but I’m old. It sounds good.
Me too, and with tinnitus, I hear some of this noise all the time anyway. Too many concerts and a recent steam engine parade.
Thanks! I enjoy all your videos so much. They are a great part of my week. Sometimes I watch while I use my exercise bike.
Thanks for the Super Thanks! I appreciate it. I'm glad you like my videos!
Hey Russ, thanks for the shoutout on you being an awful tour guide. I'd be a little anxious since you're going out of town to NorCal, San Diego and Las Vegas🤣Lordy, don't get lost. Happy to hear you'll have a Wired Crusier waiting for you when you get back, and you'll be with family on a nice current vacation!!!!
For me the sound was good either way. Windscreens are great for eliminating Wind noise but the ambient surrounding sounds i like as they give a natural feel to the ride.
Yes, much better. Before it sounded like a 2000 Watt motor, this one more like a 500 W.
Pedro, I love your comments.
I agree with your friend. You will meet your goal. Hope for a warm fall so you can keep riding. 🚴🏻
I had a purple Schwinn stingray with the banana seat and a Varsity 10 speed too. Decades ago, last century!
Hi Russ, you are right about the sound. This sound is clearer and louder in comparison to the background noise. I have an old H4N and their sound is great. Your Sure mike really does focus on your voice and not the background noise. I’m sorry that it increases your editing time which I know from having one myself, but the sound from this setup of yours works great. Thank you Russ.
Sound is back to being really good to me
Hi, Russ. This mic sounds good. I'm currently learning how to vlog using my smartphone and a cheap external mic. Wind noise is a problem so getting an inexpensive lavaliere mic with a windsock is my next step. I'm years behind you but I'm having fun filling my retirement days learning a new hobby.
There was rumors about three months ago that they were going to 1000 W motor on the Deer
Yes, the new Deer 2.0 will have a 1000 watt motor that peaks at 1800 watts.
If you become a tour guide, be sure to charge by the hour.
The info you share on audio is helpful to me! I will be using it in my future videos. Just got the Rode wireless Go II mic and so far it's working. Thanks for all of your great videos!
Thanks for the Super Thanks! I appreciate it!
Agree 100% on the sound! Your old mic and gear is kinda like the old tube amps you can't get anymore for acoustic guitars. Pushing for my goal of 1000 miles this season (my avg./season). Got 140 miles to go and we're expecting our first frost in early October. It will be done. Have a great trip out west and look forward to your vids.
Yes, sounds better than the other audio. Makes your voice sound better too. 👍❗️
Russ, the audio is back to sounding like you are speaking directly into your microphones, sounds great like you are in the Abbey Road studios...!
The sound is better. Less background noise.
Russ:
Agree 200 lb before the end of the year is not realistic. Maybe 210-215 is more realistic by the end of the year. Good job on your health.
Good call on the mic 🎤 Audio sounds good. Worth the extra effort. I think you’re right about WIRED and fulfilling orders. Also with wired they are marketing people always trying to game exposure and publicity. if they have you talking about the bike , and your audience is asking about the bike. Maybe that publicity alone is sufficient for them 🤷 no need to send a bike they are already living rent free in your head (and videos) if ya know what i mean. You are correct they have enough problems fulfilling PAID orders.
I recently got a text from the owner of Wired telling me that he now has a Cruiser for me. Unfortunately the day he sent me the text (yesterday) is the day I went to California. So, I will pick up the bike when I get back from my trip.
@@RussIsRight that's good to hear, it will be a nice bike, although Im not a fan of Wired the bikes are better than most. Good value. i think you will appreciate being able to easily maintain class 3 speeds
I started on Mounjaro at 287 I’m now 190 pound and maintaining
Nice. My Metformin doesn't help in dieting, but only does the diabetes. I had to drop the weight by myself by limiting my food intake and the kinds of foods I was eating. Ok, the pizza and hotdogs probably aren't helping. 🤣
@@RussIsRight I don’t think I could ever cut out Pizza 🍕
@@GarysE-BikeAdventures Me neither! It's one of my favorite foods! 😊
those store bought bikes are not for me. i like aluminum 26 in free tores from dumpster common size .13s 7p aint it? 91 18650 , big battery little bike
Russ, the sound is better with Shure mic and external recorder. Your voice is clearer vs the sound of the bike’s tires and motor. Also congrats on your health improvements! I’m also T2D and much more overweight than you were.
I’m thinking of getting the Ocelot Pro 2.0 for my wife to ride, but we will need a rack that can mount to the hitch on my Tundra to carry it and my Jones e-bike. Have you tried any e-bike capable racks?
I have the Magicycle bike rack. Please use my affiliate link if you decide to get the Magicycle bike and or car rack. Thanks!
Hey Russ, TY for the video. Curious, how often do you change tires? I know you have a number of bikes you use, so I was wondering if you've found one bike/tire more or less durable. Changing a tire on an e-bike has become my least favorite thing...
I have only had to change tires on my original Rad Rover 5 because I use so many e-bikes these days. I rarely ride enough miles on just one bike to warrant a change. But that first bike got its Kenda tires changed out after around 1000 to 1500 miles. The rear tire wore out first. I stayed with the same brand when I changed them.
@@RussIsRight Yep, I guess feel pretty good about my results then. I put about 2000 this year on OEM tires and put HEP tires on. Last year I did similar on a different bike, replacing with new Kendas as well. The rear tires were worn out pretty good as well. I think I had them aired down a bit too much.
Reach out to Cleveland since you go out West. You guys might click, that'd be fun to see you get a Monstar.
But Russ would have to agree with everything he said, and I don’t know if Russ would do that, I’m not a fan of David. I think his bikes are awesome for the money.
@@GarysE-BikeAdventures very true Gary. Possible, but not very realistic i suppose
I watched one of your videos from last year right after the video with the wireless mic. I understand why you are not satisfied. BTW, did you have any stereo store competition in Morton Grove? I believe my father bought stereo equipment back then when we lived in MG. Congrats on 20K!!
Thanks. Our store was in Skokie. The Morton Grove store back in the day was Musicraft and directly across the street from them was Victor's stereo. Victor eventually sold his store and Quintessence Audio bought them. That store is still in existence today. Yes, both Musicraft and Quintessence were competition to us. Initially we sold the typical brands of stereo gear so Musicraft was more of a competition. But in time, we started selling more expensive and higher-end gear, so Victor's became more of a competition. Another company called United Audio was also one of the competitors to us. Our store was called Component Stereo. Our first store was on Gross Point Road in Skokie, but we eventually moved to a location twice the size on Oaken Street in Skokie, directly across the street from a record store called Record City.
@@RussIsRight Ah okay. I remember Musicraft and United Audio. I actually purchased some Carver equipment from UA back in the late 80's to early 90's.
Did you get new gloves recently? I think I need some new ones after 4 years. But soon I will have to wear full gloves and not just fingerless ones.
This is my second second pair of gloves. The old ones were faded from the sun and changed color!
Will Magic cycle produce a torque kit to convert the old deer 20 models?
I don’t think so.
