Following the license agreements from your source. Does places like shuttershock and those companies have help like you to explain their legal rights? 😅
Hey there Caspian, heck yeah you can! Canva had whole bunch of templates you can choose from and edit really easily. Here is a link to their video templates www.canva.com/video-editor/templates/ Run wild and explore the different options they have to offer. I hope this helps you out! Richard
TYSM for the vid. Can you riddle me this part? "Each Pro content license allows you to use the content in one design, so you must pay to obtain a new license each time you’d like to use the same piece of Pro content in a new design. If you have a Canva Pro or Canva for Teams plan, then a new license is automatically issued to you each time you use Pro content in a new design." I can't find anywhere though how much said license is, is it being charged to my team's account?
Hello R B, and sorry for the late reply! I’m thrilled you found value in this video and hope it helps others. I was also not able to find a price for the additional license when doing research for this video. It would seem like the price is included each time you use Pro content in a new design. Here is a link with some more information, but it is still not clear. www.canva.com/policies/content-license-agreement/ If you happen to find out more information please come back and share it with the community! Can I use elements in Canva on merchandise that I’m selling without altering them first? For example, I want to sell nail decals on Etsy. If I were to use a free image of a flower on Canva and put it on my decals, would that be legal?
👋 Hello Kate, this is a great question! Unfortunately you would be infringing the terms Canva has spelled out in their terms of use. I would suggest you alter the element as much as possible. Doing so will give you a better chance of not infringing their terms. You could even buy a flower element on other sites that give you full ownership. I hope this helps you out! Richard
I never use the pre made templates, I use canva to design my digital products from scratch. Am I allowed to sell invitations, digital products that I make from scratch using canva? In short , if i made it from scratch using canva and the elements are free, am I allowed to sell my designs?
Hello Yvonne, if you’re using the free elements provided by Canva and are manipulating the elements around 90% then you should be good. Always do what you can to change the elements if you’re planing on selling them. I would also suggest you review Canva’s terms of service as they update them every now and then. Thank you so much for your time and support of the channel Yvonne. I appreciate you! Richard
Great vid!, I put together multiple different graphics to create a logo for my drinks I'm selling, is that legal or should I draw the logo by hand similar to what I created on canva and call it mine?
Hey Anthony! That’s a great question, And it would depend on whether or no you combined the graphics to create one image. I would need to see how it looks to give you a better answer, but if I were you I would just pay someone on fiverr to recreate it and provide a vector / svg file. This way you have the original artwork and you don’t have to worry about Canva’s terms. I hope this helped you out, but if you have any questions just let me know. Thank you for your time and support for the channel! I really appreciate it Anthony! Best of luck!
Hi, UBMD! I am your new subscriber, and I enjoyed the simple and clear way you did in explaining the topic. I have actually a question; I own the pro licensed Canva, and I have an idea to sell printed products on my online shop which will contain some elements, fonts, and photos taken from Canva in each design. I also understand that I need to alter every contents in my design, like changing the brightness, saturation, and contrast. If I do so, will I violate any use term of Canva pro?
Hey there Rislan! I would first like to thank you for your time and support for the channel. I means a lot and I’m happy you found value in the content. As for your question, you are on the right path! Alter the assets you plan to use in Canva. The more you alter them the further you are from violating their terms. If you plan on using stock images in Canva just make sure to see where the images are from. I believe one is pixabay, and if you use any of their images you would then fall under their terms. So long story short, alter everything and make it your own if possible. The more you change an element the better you will be. I hope this answers your question, but if not just let me know down below. Thank you again Rislan! Richard
@@UBMD Hi, Richard! I am sorry beforehand for reaching you again today. With the same condition as I've explained above, can I produce many printed cover books with same design to sell? Thank you
@@rislansitumorang1823 no worries at all Rislan! I think it would be safer if you created a custom design and didn’t use any of Canva’s pre made template. There might be some potential issues so I would read this page carefully and make sure there are no issues. www.canva.com/help/licenses-copyright-legal-commercial-use/ I hope this helps! Richars
New subscriber, thanks! 👉🏾Design and Video Request: 👆🏾I would like to see more Canva tutorial how to create and utilize the Elements without worrying about copyright issues. How to go around creating to make them look different that I can use my designs and sell with worries? I just spend money for the yearly Pro membership to only find out so many Elements have copyright issues.
Hello Colorful Foresight, I really appreciate your support and time! Also your video request is a great idea. I’ll be sure to add that one to my list! I also understand where you’re coming from. The restrictions are a bit of a downside. If I find any resources that might help you I’ll be sure to send them over your way. Thank you again! Richard
@@colorfulforesight Thats also a good question. I know that most of the other Canva alternatives have the same issues, but they might have less restrictions. You can also look at websites that offer premium assets like Envato Elemens. You would have to pay for the service but you should have more flexibility to use their assets in your project. I hope this helps you out! Richard
@@UBMD Thanks for that recommendation. BTW, Since I already paid for Canva Pro for the year, I’m still curious how to design over the original elements so I don’t have to be concerns with the legalities.
