LHW is trash.. He was the only interesting thing in there to be honest along with the Glover story.
What happened after 282 made it even worse.
They need Jiri to win the belt back and defend few times to save it in my oppinion.
I know that people like Ankalaaev alot but his fights are boring.. I would rather have a champion like Jiri to defend. That would make the LHW exiting again and people might start to care a bit more.
If he gets succesful alot and Jon Jones starts rolling like he used to i dont doubt hes gonna go and try to grab the belt back. That would be the ultimate revival of the division.

Literally sending USADA to him to wake him up in the middle of the night during fight camps multiple times a week. @@FreefallSC you are so uninformed its ridiculous. Let me let you know what the REAL REASON IS. but before that, they had it out for him? how? by giving him a title shot in only his 3rd fight in the promotion? or is it he debuted on fight island aganist a NUMBER 7 ranked volkan oezdemir. hmm....doesnt seem like they are out for him, kinda seems like they are pulling for him. also he came from rizin, everyone is on gear there. everyone is on juice. also international fighters, are subject to more scrutiny. dricus du plessis, paulo costa, yair rodriguez, who gotten 6 month suspension for avoiding usada, all are international fighters and not usa based either. now for the ufc wasnt going to allow him to keep it. well thats because its a PPV up for grabs, and they need a TITLE main event, at all costs. even if they have to make up a belt...oh wait, bmf, they did that too! wow, your points are really moot. but jiri is a great champion and will be back, do you think a man that lives in a cottage despite making half a mill on a his last one, a man that dedicated his life to martial arts, is worried about a couple hundred of grand. he is with paradigm sports, they also have leon edwards, izzy, and yes, conor mcgregor, good company from a management perspective right, all champions or former. is that clean enough'?

Because they think he is more marketable. UFC chooses who their champs and contenders are with their match making. And when they can’t do that because guys they want to lose keep winning then they can just take your title and greatly decrease the pay for your next fight just because you got hurt. Make no mistake about it, next fight Jiri won’t be paid like a champ and won’t get PPV points. That was why the UFC basically stripped him. If they do an Interim title then you have two guys being paid Championship money and getting a PPV cut.

To quote Jeff Novitzky, UFC Senior VP of Athlete Health and Performance:
"In 2019, Jon Jones was subject to 42 no-notice drug tests by 3 separate entities (USADA, CSAC and NSAC). In my 20 years experience in the anti-doping world, this is the highest volume of yearly tests that I have ever seen on one athlete, in any sport."
To give an idea on just how big and irregular that figure is, USADA awards jackets for those who reach 50 clean drug tests. Kamaru Usman was the first UFC fighter to receive that accolade in 2021, and he has been in the testing pool since it started in 2015. Six years worth of testing for Usman, was eclipsed by Prochazka in a few months.
At that time 42 tests in a year was unheard of and as of today Jiri eclipsed that in a couple of months. COME ON. He must have popped and they stripped the belt of him.
