Nice vid! I'm playing with motion framer for a few days and it's a really good library. Actually I'm using it for pretty much everything animation (it's a full SPA, and I'm switching from css animations). Including the powerful AnimatePresence for animating component un-mounting (even "page level"!). The orchestration is nice too! Not an easy task I can say when we take the performance in the equation.. Right now I'm having massive issues (graphics glitches) with Safari and Firefox.
@@hswolff meanwhile i've fixed that. It was a mistake on my end. I've animated divs that had css transition :). (I completely forgot about those..). Now all relatively fine, i've even went live
Funny you said that, because framer-motion is the next iteration of Pose. Framer acquired PopMotion in 2018. Motion is a completely separated library. The intention is to provide a production-ready motion library.
Ooooh very interesting thought. I haven't looked into prose as much so I can't say. Framer Motion does have a migration guide from react-pose which seems not too terrible but that is a very interesting thought!
Been waiting on an in-depth look for ages! Thanks for posting.
Glad you enjoyed!
enjoy your videos man! been using framer motion for all my new projects and they look so good! (for a non-designer pro like me)
woo! that's awesome to hear!
I'm sorry that I did not get acquainted with your higher education earlier ❤❤❤
Thanks Harry!
You are welcome!

Oh interesting you’re having performance issues. Wonder if they’re aware of that?

I liked react-pose MUCH more. I think framer motion was made with framer-x more in mind than it should’ve been and the compromises seem evident.
Thoughts?

@@DavoGalavotti exactly. I think it has been made with framer in mind first and not straight react development- and it shows.

Harry Wolff yeah. I use react-pose for everything. Framer-motion hurts my head 😂 but that might just be me!
Have you tried react-spring? i think you'll like it
Yeah! I do want to play with it! It looks just as fun :D
Your computer sounds like a blow dryer in this, Harry
Haha yeah, that was my old laptop which was slowly dying. Just got a new laptop that shouldn't have that issue anymore.
@@hswolff praise!
