Well Done Sir! I used to live very close to camdem a long years ago...and see this video brings me back there, since i am very far away from London.. thanks a lot. BRuno.
Love love love London. I'm from New Zealand and visit London every year. Londoners are lovely, so friendly, I love the London atmosphere the different cultures and english fish and chips and mushy peas are the best!
Lived in Camden for 40 years worked the market when i was a kid early 70s when there were no more than 20 stalls . It's changed a bit from those days great place always was always will be ,fond memories of some proper characters no longer with us . I live in the south of France now in the countryside but will always be a St Pancras boy .
In the years 09/10 i was living in Camden, best time of my life and people tolerate much more than other places. The best year of my life so far and i have never seen any kind of violence, even thoug i went a lot out :) Best regards Former Royal College Street resident
wow! Camden is great, I love all the smells that you can "taste" here!! friday night , the 12th october, you can listen to "Road Of Kicks" at Dusk Till Dawn!!!! I'll be there!!! ROAD OF KICKS!!!!
I love Camden market in the middle of summer. Reminds me of a wierd sort of pirate town from a fantasy novel or something, and people from god knows where. Lots of ups downs nooks and crannies.
The market is not what it used to be, the alternative scene is dying and it is now rare to see those like me, who are of the goth, cyber or alternative persuasion. Cyber Dog is still there, and so are other shops, but I have noticed a rapid growth of shops and stalls punting 'tourist tat'. That said, I still love Camden Market and I can't think of a better place to go when at a loose end during the weekend :-)
Portobello's in Rome, Denmark's finest beer, Furnitures & Interns, Atlantic's City Basket T-Shirts cases, Soho's refilling... It's the same old story...
I've not been there but I think it has become way too commercial over the years. Every (Italian) person I meet wants to go there and thinks it's the centre of British fashion and culture, while it clearly isn't. Anyway, I love the song, wonderful!
Love the market. When it gets proper busy and you smell about 6 different types of food cooking, and all around you these voices , you buy you buy, try for free darling, you want chicken, you want noodles, try here darling'. Hectic is the only word for it.
@YummyChoccy camden high street are kind of safe. but the areas around camden arnt. belisize is safe because its mostly an upper class area. but areas like kentish town, somerts town arnt if you go kentish alot of gangs. a lot of muggings near my area. and at night it gets worse. if you live in kentish town there is notorious council estate avoid it its called denton. camden can be safe but its full of working class and is as dangerous as the roughest parts of london.and it is full of asians.
@YummyChoccy I never had a problem in Camden & I consider it safe. The most I saw was a mass street brawl years ago. But it's like anywhere else, you have to use your common sense. Maybe someone who lives there can give a better opinion than me....
too expensive when compared to Nutting Hill if you wanna get souvineers or t-shirts. It´s really nice to go and have some beer or coffee, but have your wallets ready
Just got back from Camden Market this afternoon. The place has been utterly ruined. It looks nothing like this video now. The atmosphere has gone, along with the Goth and Alternative shops, there are only two of those left that I could see. Now it is simply tat boutiques and not much else. It is no longer worth a visit.
Camden is so bloody packed and its got some great stuff

Hi !..you seem to draw inspiration from Pink Floyd.
too expensive when compared to Nutting Hill if you wanna get souvineers or t-shirts. It´s really nice to go and have some beer or coffee, but have your wallets ready
it sorta reminds me of disneyland only with more crack pipe and bong stalls
