@@samickkk not for the full moon I would have thought a smaller aperture would be best due to the brightness of the full moon I am just learning the subject so I could be totally wrong
I have taken lots of photos of the moon over the years. I just purchased a Sony RX10iv. I am just learning how to use the camera. Your videos have helped me with the settings. Thanks Ron Javorsky
It is a full moon tonight and I am going out soon but ran across your video and I love it. I have shot the moon many times and take my astronomy hobby serious. I also have the Sony AR7II and recently got the Sony 200-600mm lens which I will be using tonight. I have a Meade 10" scope but it is heavy and I am 70 years old and prefer to have some help with it, but I can take my camera and lens and iOptron star tracker and have some fun tonight. Not much deep space photography with a full moon but it's all good. I really need your Lightroom course as I also started using it about two weeks ago but I need to learn a lot more about it. Thanks for your videos and greetings from El Paso, TX
Hey! I just received my very first DSLR today and tried to capture the moon but couldn't get any useable picture. Then I looked it up on YT, found your video and tried the settings. The picture turned out amazing! So many visible details! Thank you so much!
Exposure settings: Aperture: F8 ISO: 200 shutter speed: 1/640 Great learning from you! Always to the point and no frills youtuber! Thanks for all the free content you provide!
Hey, Awesome shot! Just wanted to confirm, I am looking to buy Tamron 70-300mm lens for my A6100 for Moon Photography & Sunsets. Do you think it will serve the purpose? Also, everyone says it doesn't perform well in low light. What is your opinion? Shall I buy it?
1/640, ISO 200 and f8 Everything I know, I’ve learned so far is because of people like you. Whether I win or not , I want to thank you for the great content.

Hi, I love watching your videos, I'm a beginner photographer and would love to learn from your course. 😊 The exposure settings are f/8 shutter 1/640 iso 200
Last night it was full moon and took a picture with the kit lens. Somewhat my settings were very similar: ISO 200, 1/500s f/5.6. Looks tiny because I had to crop the photo, but it looks alright for social media
Just got my first camera and was wondering if the cold would be a problem for it. How do cameras hold up in temps like this? I don't want to damage anything
I love your video very much! Can I damage my camera if I shoot the moon directly or I should use some kind of a filter? Sorry if the question is stupid.
I’m very curious as a beginner. Why does the exposure make such a difference in this situation? I always thought exposure was important for capturing things in motion, but not so much for stationary objects
I m not a pro but like taking pictures of moon with a tripod ..I use canon Rebel camera ,and been looking for a canon 2x converter for my Tamron 200-500 EF len ,what is the name of it .
On the 31st of August 2023, I will use two cameras on tripods with a 70mm and a 300mm lens. I will set both canon 80 d to manual, f 11, iso 400 and shutter speed 400. I will set the 2nd body to f 11, oso800 and shutter to 800. I'll focus manually using the screen vies to frame and focus. I hope it doesn't rain
Hi Benjamin, my name is also Benjamin, lol! Awesome video as always. I've really learned a lot from them. Really hope to win! Aperture: f8 Shutter Speed: 1/640 ISO: 200 Good luck to everyone!

I tried photographing the moon last year. I used an APSC camera with an 18-300 mm lens and a tripod, and took about 120 shots. Only ONE was in focus!!!
The first few minutes were a good, basic primer. Glad to have found you. One step at a time!
F8, ISO 200, 1/640
Better late than never!!
Loving your teaching style - have learnt so much in manual mode ;)

@@samickkk not correct. You need the sharpest image so you need to know what aperture your lens is sharpest. It's never 2.8.
I watched until the handheld settings part and immediately tried to capture the full moon today again. And I got my best moon shot ever. Thank you!♡

I’d love to win your Lightroom course! You’re fun to watch and I am learning so much! 🎥💪🏼💜
Im learning photography a lot with your videos. Can you do more videos about night photos with aperture iso and shutter speed?
At 4 degrees, you used iso, 200, 1/640 at f8. I like your passion for shooting the moon. Thanks for the advise. I’m learning.
Man i wish i could afford a telephoto, shits so expensive at the moment tho
Wow
F8, 1/640, ISO 200 are the settings used. I would love to take your Lightroom course!! Please!
Don’t you also need to change the metering to only meter the moon? I’m sure I had to do that when trying this
F8, 1/640, ISO200 is the settings.
Hope I'd be able to learn from your amazing Lightroom course and increase my knowledge and skills in photography from it!
Exposure: aperture of f8 and shutter speed of 1/640.
ISO is more of "post-amplifier" thing)
Greetings from SLOVAKIA, your settings: F8, 1/640, ISO200. Your videos are so educational, keep going :)
Shutter Speed : 640
Aperture :f8
ISO: 200
600mm lens with 2x canon converter
your camera settings is 1/640 shutter speed, f/8.0,200 iso .even i clicked the perigee or supermoon yesterday and my settings is 1/250 shutter speed , f/11 , 400 iso but i cannot show you photograph because my card reader got damaged and i cannot buy another because in delhi there is lockdown happening because of covid 19 and i cannot go out to buy another one .i have a canon 550d.
Can you make video How to take photo of the moon by phone?
Great video, but just want to ask why iso 200 and not iso 100. The moon is bright enough already. I usually choose 100 and f5.6. Thanks.
Maybe because handheld 200mm (or more) required faster shutter speed? Though I don't think 1 stop would matter either way)
Hi Ben, it was F8, ISO 200, 1/640.
I've always had trouble with this, so thx for that : )
F8 , 1/320 , ISO 200
I hope so!
I tried photographing the moon last year. I used an APSC camera with an 18-300 mm lens and a tripod, and took about 120 shots. Only ONE was in focus!!!
F8, 1/640, ISO 200 what a beautiful moon
Sir try Nikon p1000 to moon photography
