Damn this is actually really sad if you think about it. Like obviously he fouled and played like garbage every game, but imagine the real people who did grind in college and the g league, just to not get drafted. So sad
Lowkey kinda what happened to Bol Bol. He was in the draft room then fell to the 40s
It's reality and this is reality for most of those players. Only 60 are selected each year. About 45ish of those gets signed. And probably half of those make it pass the 3rd year. Maybe 10 of those stays in the league for a while. And only 4 or so become all stars.

I actually kind of hoped that if you didn't get drafted you couldn't play in the NBA with that player, but I do like 2K giving people who don't know how to play, another chance.
Problem with that is then your player would become useless due to you not being able to grind badges

I feel like this game simultaneously holds your hand and tells you to get good. I’m shit at the game and still made the draft first round and was told my dad wasn’t half the player I was, but every game the commentary is talking about how I’m not playing at my full potential and the coaches don’t hesitate to bench me when I fuck up

Random story and quite uncommon, but Bobby Jackson wasn’t invited to the 1998 draft (or some other draft around that time) and he turned up and then was drafted in the first round by the Supersonics. Might not be that relevant nowadays, but still

I don't like basketball, but I played computer games in the early 2000s. Man! The graphics and human movement are waaaay above the graphics I thought were outstanding in 2002.
I know it’s insane how we went from 2-d to full blown real life graphics, it’s insane.
