When i see the townies in the realm of magic makes me think that the realm of magic is another dimension where the townie you see here are wizards and they stay in this dimension they're a little different from your newcrest townies but as the same appearance (the best example is the spidey-verse for me lol)

Okay, I thought about it, and I have the perfect in-game explanation for the townies thing. If they only do magic in the Magic Realm, that's because they're not actually the same sims you see outside of it. They're from a completely different universe. The Magic Realm isn't located in Glimerbrook, it's in a different dimension, so it stands to reason that the sims inside don't necessarily have to be from the same world as your sims. So the Bob Pancakes you see is from an universe where he's a wizard, and he's just coming to the Magic Realm like all others to practice his magic. For any of this to actually make sense you probably shouldn't talk to the sims in question, because then when you meet them outside you'll realize they're the same sim, gameplay-wise. But it's really fun to think about and it brings the immersion back

Personal I would start with the sage npcs and then any townies that are generated would have a 5 % chance of being a spell caster but the npcs we know from previous games should be spellcasters

Everyone's computers and graphics cards are different. For the Elgato, you need to pay for it. Goes between $140 to $210 depending on where you buy it and what condition you buy it in but if you're using it on a laptop it lags really hard even with a high graphics card and a lot of free memory space (for me it did that). It's not worth investing unless you have a regular PC with a high graphics card. OBS is free to download from online. Fraps is free to download. Mirillis Action Capture was on sale for $30 on their site. I think it's back to $45. Not too sure. I got mine on summer sale. I currently use Mirillis record my footage (in the process of making a machinima for my other channel as this is my personal). If you're going to stream, turn off your in game music. Only the popular simtubers and game review channels seem to get away with copyright because they have such a massive following. Anyone starting off for game play streaming or machinima making get copyright strikes quickly. As long as there's no music playing from the game you're safe. You can also check the Sims 4 forums. It has a huge friendly community with lots of people posting information, tips and ideas for what you're looking for : ) A lot of them even share their story about copyright strikes, safe music usage, and more. I spend my off days between filming to research. I don't want to work so hard on my machinima just to have it taken down or marked by youtube.

I have a notebook of do's and don't's that I even made tabs for quick access lol XD After I found my information, I had to change the entire theme, music, and now re-film because originally the idea I had fit a specific song. I did not know about copyright music. I just thought if you used their songs, the artist will get a percentage of money if you were lucky enough to monetize. For me, and lot of my machinima ideas need to have singers but majority of the free music online is that weird dubstepp pop music beauty bloggers use. I learned from reading the comments on free music from channels like nocopyright music or similar channels of people stating they have copyright strikes. Right now epidemic sound and artlist are the top royalty free sites but if you plan to use them long term you have to pay about $200 a year each so it's best to sample both and see which is a better fit for you before investing. The pros is that these sites make it so that usage of their music will not get you a copyright strike and you can monetize your videos with their music and they don't ask for a cut. they basically take care if the licensing for you. The music from TH-cam's audio library is free (an actual function inside your channel studio. don't go to the channels titled youtube audio list or youtube audio _____[basically any channel in the search]). some songs that people downloaded and posted up as a free song video/channel aren't free anymore or are now copyright. So it's best to do it yourself directly because you can view what's free and not worry. For me, since I'm aspiring to make machinimas, I need both music sites because audio (music and sound effects) is very important outside of filming. They set the tone of the film so I have to invest in both sites. I work and pay bills and struggle like the rest of the world so my channel and filming is coming along slower than most people. so you need to effectively manage your time and budget. sorry if these comments are long. when I asked for help in comments a lot of people either ignored me or gave me small bits of info with no explanation and then I find out they were wrong or there's like this huge catch/downside to their info. so I had to take tips carefully and research a bunch after starting. then having to restart to follow the rules.
