Cash a lil tip: If your in a mix matchup on defense you know how you icon pass? you do the same thing on defense and tap which defender you wanna defend.
you either press L1 or R1

Wait a split second before u shoot on the catch n shoot floppy Cash. You see when you’re wide open u have time to make it but when you shoot it way too fast with the defender kinda on you still the game is gonna thinks it’s a quick release or late release based on the mechanics in this 2K. Trust wait a split second not enough for the defender to get to u and put a hand up but right before they reach u shoot it.
