Ghjanto : I've been tying for over 50+ yrs. and I have almost given up on tying a woven body. Every time I fail ,grow frustrated and throw the hook out. After watching your video I have regained some inclining of hope . I will defiantly give your pattern a try. Fingers crossed🤞🤞🤞Thank you.Ken
I am very happy that this pattern inspires you Kenneth , to again tie woven bodies which i think really bring added value on the caddis flies bodies and also on certain flat nymphs; once you have understood the principle, you can give free rein to your imagination and vary the materials and colors ... I will be delighted to see your achievements, so do not hesitate to contact me! best regards. Ghjanto 🙏
Those Corsican fish are certainly getting their Christmas present early this year. Another great pattern beautifully tied and presented. Regards from down-under in NZ.
Hi John ! good to hear from you ! must be the end of the trout fishing season in NZ ? here we fish since March and dry fly fishing is getting better....i think this fly (which is one of my favorite dry ) is even more efficient since i tie it with a woven body(thanks to Vladimir and his great tutorials !) trouts are so agressive with that fly (same as the caddis pupas wet or nymph !) thanks again for your visit John ! kind regards .Ghjanto
Very cool tie! It's kind of a variation of Mercer's missing link, but so much better. The Cdc and woven body are a great touch. It's a shame that fish don't have an appreciation for true artistry.
@@GhjantoFlyFishing , very true. And sometimes, confidence in your fly is just as important as anything else. It makes it much easier to focus on casting and your presentation when you're not second-guessing if you're fishing the right fly. The fly I mentioned earlier (Mercer's Missing Link), it is perhaps my #1 favorite dry. It just seems to get the job done during any hatch when fish are picky.
@@realityobservationalist7290absolutely and that's why favorites flies are so different from one to another ...! missing link and cripples are amazing flies and are my jokers when I get refusals ! Many beautifuly tied patterns here in TH-cam !!
