“these guys don’t focus too much on dancing” is the absolute last thing i’d say about ateez. their dance line is 6/8 of the members, they were introduced with 3 dance videos, they would dedicate slots of their earlier shows to dancing, and they’ll dance whenever and wherever they can

Straykids & ateez are very close friends and i’m kinda getting tired of people comparing them. They’re individual groups, with different storylines and music.

I can’t lie, I chuckled a bit when you said that they don’t focus on dancing and don’t do crazy moves. You should check out Halazia, Crazy Form, and Guerrilla. Also check out the dance practices for them (ESPECIALLY Halazia)!
Just a little note: ATEEZ are called Masters of Performance, “the standard”, “the last 30 seconds” group (because of how hard hitting their dancing and energy is), and professionals have stated that the weakest dancer in ATEEZ could easily be the main dancer in any other group. They’re all professional dancers. ATEEZ comes second only to Seventeen (a boy group of 13 members) in terms of performance/dancing.
I’d also like to point out that even though some people say ATEEZ and Stray Kids sound alike or are similar, that is not true at all. Stray Kids make more EDM and focus more on rapping. ATEEZ make vocal based music and experiment with different genres/sometimes combining them. They both are stronger in different areas. I can’t lie and say that I’m not annoyed by the constant comparisons of the two groups. I’m not a fan of Stray Kids AT ALL, but I’ll give credit where credit is due.

Oh you guys will LOVE them! And I just have to add, but ATEEZ is quite literally KNOWN for their performance, their choreography is always intense, rarely do you get those sensual, slower moves. You’ll get break dances, popping, freestyle, synchronised dance and LIVE Vocals above all that!!!

Ateez and straykids are both my ULTS (ultimate groups) and i love them to death.
But the title was not needed though. ofc you can prefer one over the other, but the comparison between them is not needed !

Ateez is the best group ever. I'm into kpop since decades and was thinking that i'll never found a group like DBSK or Big bang, until i discovered Ateez. The voices, the dancing, the performances, the charism are unbelievable. It's the first time i'm stanning a group.

ATEEZ are unique and talented since pre-debut . they are called KQ fellaz before, you should definitely check their performances. and most of all, they come from a small company of only about 10 employees when they debuted and now they got bigger and topped billboard No.1 and No.2 for UK album chart ! along kpop big 4 companies

I love when people whose intro to Ateez is Wonderland or Wave, or in this case, both, don't know Ateez was a dance crew before they debuted as a kpop group and are one of, if not THE best group in the industry in terms of dancing. They're reaaaaally lore-heavy, though, so a lot of that is lost in MVs. :D check out the dance practice for Wonderland.
They were not a dance crew before they debuted. They did however drop some dance videos after their training in LA that went viral causing people to think they were a dance crew.
@flaggov6949 I dunno what you think qualifies a group of people as a "dance crew," but I consider a group signed to the same company, with an official name, releasing dance-only covers after a month-long group dance training trip, to be a dance crew. Frankly, I STILL consider them a dance crew.

KQE posted the first performance video, a few days later posted a preview for KQ Fellaz which contained clips of them recording the vocals to their song From, and then began posting KQ Fellaz episodes which began with images of each member and their position/s (e.g. Hongjoong--leader, rapper, composition) to From.

@@ItzLionxss No, they weren't. KQ Fellaz is the generic name KQ Entertainment uses for its idol trainees (KQ Fellaz 2 became xikers, a 5th gen kpop boy group). Hongjoong sent in a mixtape because he was a fan of BlockB"s Zico saying he wanted to produce music (BlockB's label Seven Seasons was created by the same CEO and put under KQE once KQE was created). When KQE finally took HJ on, they convinced him to become an idol trainee--not a dancer (per an interview with Eden, HJ had little talent in rapping and dancing and worked hard to get to where he is today). After that, they started picking up more trainees. They picked up San for his vocals. He couldn't dance back then, so they definitely wouldn't have signed him if their plan was to create a dance crew (there's a weekly idol episode where the members talk about how bad San's dancing was when he was signed--they also talk about the rap he did for his audition). It is well known that Seonghwa auditioned as a rapper with a rap he wrote, but switched to a vocalist. A company that is already managing a well-known kpop group, conducts auditions that include singing and rapping, signs trainees based on their singing and rapping, and creates a show for their trainees where they list each members position (including rappers and vocalists) is creating another kpop group not a dance crew. As part of the shows promotions they created 4 dance covers of American songs which went viral (only the first cover was posted before the first episode of KQ Fellaz). These videos falsely caused people think they were just a dance crew. That was never the case.
y'all are playing with fire with that clickbait title lol. i think it's perfectly fine and normal to have preferences; i'm personally an atiny (ateez fan) who doesn't listen to skz that often, though i still have a lot of respect for them as artists. i think it helps to acknowledge that choice of the "best" kpop group is entirely subjective.
just being straight up, kpop fandoms can get pretty sensitive about their favorite artists and "defending" them from "hate"-- which can range from just saying you personally didn't vibe with a song to spewing actual hate through misinformation or bigotry, etc (which is actually justified in speaking out against). fans are also (kind of understandably) hostile to direct comparisons of their favorite artist to their industry peers. the point is, you guys made... a choice... in indirectly pitting two fandoms against each other who have historically had quite a bit of beef between them.
i'm not trying to tell you what you can and can't do with your channel, i'm just trying to warn you about what kind of engagement and feedback you'll receive. inflammatory titles and videos (like this one) will probably increase immediate engagement as rage bait, but will not sustain your platform in the long run if you intend to build a peaceful online community of music enjoyers.
The title on this video is a sure fire way to piss off fans of both Ateez and Stray Kids. LOL.
Word to the wise: don't ever compare kpop groups. Ateez and Stray Kids are not interchangeable and they each have their own charm. Some prefer one while others prefer another. To each his own. I can understand new fans who figure out about ATEEZ to compare them with Straykids. Both somehow similar vibes yet different sounds. Straykids more focus on rapping and noise noisy music. While ATEEZ, have different and wide range of genre, theaterical type of music - which sometimes sounds like a noise music. If you really listen to all ATEEZ music, you can found jazz, rnb, rock, screamo, edm, cyberpunk, traditional instrument/sounds in ATEEZ song.
And their dance, one among 4th gen group with hard choreo. They won best performer award and Immortal Song because of their stage performance and live singing.

Also, Ateez is from a tiny company and didn’t have much money when they first started out. Their latest album was number 1 on the Billboard 200 and their more recent music videos (like anything after 2020). Has almost as big a budget as Stray Kids music videos (since stray kids came from an already wealthy company)

watching people discover ateez is one of my favourite things to do on yt. I’m sure you’ll grow to like them a lot. whatever you see by them, you’ll see how hard working and genuine these guys are. from their INSANE dance practices, to their breathtaking performances and even their funny moments. they don’t tend to show much of the dance in most of their mvs so I don’t blame you for thinking this way. this is mostly because they have this huge story line they’ve been following strictly since debut and use their mvs to get it across & share straight out pages of said story in each mv, trailer or even live performances.

Ateez is different and very good. Likewise, I love the band Stray Kids, especially rap, but Ateez is a whole and always different, creative in every comeback, and they are all very talented, especially San.

Try Halazia if you want deep lyrics, Guerrilla if you want a song to pump you up. Crazy For for a MV with a Story Line, MATZ (only 2 of the members) if you want a lot of rapping), and to see them really dance a live performance of Cyberpunk or a dance practice of literally any of their songs they have dance practices for. For beautiful vocals, there is a live performance of their song Turbulence that they did (just sitting on stools, no dancing) that is really impressive. You could also watch them perform Black Cat Nero in the show immortal songs to get both amazing dancing and amazing vocals live.
My sweet lovelys...you shouldn't compare kpop groups. It's like comparing Diana Ross to Gladys Knight, The Beatles to The Monkeys, Beyoncé to Mariah, Michael Jackson to Prince, 2pac to Biggie, Journey to Guns n Roses, Metallica to KISS.
Please understand that kpop stans (for the most part- besides the psycho ones) don't like comparisons simply because each group has their own unique struggle, vibes and sound. They deserve to be loved individually for their talent and hard work.
Kpop is already such an incredibly competitive and cut throat market just to debut (which most idols have been training for since childhood...literally). And then IF they're lucky enough to debut they're now competing against their childhood best friends/fellow trainees who became members of seperate groups as well as competing against their seniors who've already debuted and gained popularity.
Comparing groups just isn't a nice thing to do. These idols go through hell to get to where they are. The least we can give them is appreciation for their hard work and if we don't vibe with the music a certain group is putting out we can politely say "it's just not my style". No insults needed.
It's more about semantics then anything. For example, instead of saying "BTS is better then StrayKids", you can say "I vibe more with BTS music then StrayKids." Or instead of saying "StrayKids are better then ATEEZ", you can say, "I really love and resonate more with StrayKids beats and lyrics then I do with ATEEZ". Or "even though I love StrayKids, ATEEZ music just makes me wanna get up and dance!"etc.

I would love for you two to watch some ATEEZ dance practices. Whether on their own or paired with its respective music video as well.
From my observation, Straykids music videos are more like performance videos. The choreo is usually the main show. Ateez music videos tend to showcase less of the choreo. They include more beauty shots, storyline bits, scene setting shots, etc.

side notes and info: ateez are a 4th generation group and debuted a few months after straykids, ateez and straykids have also been on the same survival show and worked together. the two groups are also friends! especially changbin and wooyoung theyre besties. and about the choreography part, quite off about the not very energetic or hard choreo. the videos are mostly aesthetics but their concerts and dance practices are known in kpop for being one of the hardest most energetic performances out there. example; im a dancer and it took me 5 weeks and 8 mental breakdowns and cry sessions just to learn the chorus to one of their songs (halazia) so if you guys want to you could just watch a bit of one of their dance practice videos or performances to see what i mean (good examples would be rocky, geurilla, or halazia)

ATEEZ is also popular globally, ATEEZ is the only 4th gen boy group after BTS and Blackpink that had charted #2 on UK album charts last year.

STRAY KIDS AND ATEEZ ARE BESTIES
First time for me hearing Ateez is not a dance focused group lol you need to watch a dance practice video. The camera literally shakes from how hard they dance, specially with in wonderland lol
Check out the perormance videos they did pre-debut, it's called Ateez (KQ Fellaz) Performance Video I-III (meaning just 1 through 3, three different videos). Also, these boys are SO big on dancing. They were first shown to the world as a dance group, they just have such a complex storyline and there's lore in almost every video so the dancing isn't always shown as much in the MV's but it GOES HARD onstage
First time viewer, so I don't know how familiar you are with K-pop fandoms and fan wars, but you've lit the TNT with the title, so don't be surprised by the back and forth in the comments! Ignoring it is the best course of action.
Don't let the toxicity influence what do, liking more than one group is not a crime. Good music is good music, so carry on!
They already know - pretty sure they're just rage-farming for views at this point because of how the videos blew up from it.
They've been threatening a "SKZ vs BTS" video throughout their SKZ content, fans said "please no - the fan wars are awful" and they don't seem to care. I think they like the views.

Ateez are my ult group. And these are also some of their rookie releases. Plus, Ateez is known for their live performances, crazy facial expressions (I mean, really crazy, there’s a “demon line” simply because of how out of this world their expressions are), really great vocals (Ateez are 6/8 vocalists 2/8 rappers) and dancing, they went viral early in their career because of their dance videos and are still some of the most skillful at it. None of them lacks in that aspect. Ateez are also really admirable for being where they are at coming from a small company, some people don’t like to admit it, but kq had like 10 employees when they debuted. They invested a lot on Ateez, the first group from the agency, and it shows in their cinematography, styling, music production… I love their live performances the most and I’m a huge fan of their bsides too, their albums always hit.

Having recently listened to all of Ateez albums, I can honestly say that they are probably now my joint favourites with stray kids. I just can't decide.

This is as lighthearted as I can put this but I'd recommend to not compare groups, there's already a lot of fanwars(arguing between different fandoms Ex: Army[BTS fans] and Stay[Stray kids fans] on who is better, vocal, dance, or rap wise or just complete hate towards another group in general because so n so thinks there group should be the only good one in K-pop.. there's a lot of toxic stans in K-pop so this is just a little warning, in case they come for you with your jokes(for the record I find them funny) so the jokes are fine, if you don't like a song that's also fine, just some take it to heart, but the comparing... in K-pop as a whole that just gives them fuel to argue more.... but besides that...

Tbh regardless of personal relationship they are competing with each other that's how the music industry works. They why we have charts and Awards, that's where we as fans come in and select the group we prefer and vote the type of music we like. Having preference is not a bad thing at all, it's just that the concept of Mine is always better than yours it's more like yours are talented too but I prefer this grp since I like the kind of songs they made.
