It annoys me a bit when the experts say we don't have any good young players coming through, I think that's to be expected when you are reaching prelims, Grand Finals etc Ed Allan, TJ, DeMattia, Jakob Ryan even Fin and Reef are gonna find it hard to get regular game time and take someones place in the team, but I think they can all step up and become good AFL players in the next couple of years. Maybe that's why we are bringing in experienced players over high picks, because the club has confidence in what we have drafted in recent years.
We can’t just use one pick in the draft. Every club has to use 3. Only other option is to delist and rookie someone on the senior list. We’ll use all 3 on kids imo. Hine loves these late picks
@@PiesFooty Not true. you need to elevate 3 player onto the senior list. If its 2 kids in the draft + 1 rookie upgrade. But reckon we will take all 3 if there are kids there we rate. Leppa said we are focusing on key position players in the draft.
No, I very doubt it. We'll focus on KPP and probably a mid or small forward. I reckon there is much better players where our picks will be. He is more likely he be on our vfl side next year
I reckon you are right. Personally, I don’t rate Isaac highly .. see my comments in this thread. Isaac is found out in 1 to 1. He is not an impact player, doesn’t hurt oppositions, and in my opinion, he doesn’t change direction quickly. I call that ‘ iffy’. I don’t like iffy backmen. No wonder we tried to get a good backman because at the moment and for 2 years, Moore has been poor . I called that well before Kane Cornes did. Moore is failing in all aspects of the game. Next year, we need to move him forward in stints as he is a major risk .. opposition goals haemorrhage. He needs to be guided in kicking and flight of the ball etc etc by a skilled asst coach or by an outsider like Matthew Lloyd. I want to move Moore on in 2025 if there isn’t a lot of improvement .. that means he need to agree to a plan and execution of improvement areas and practise them. Yes.. starting in Nov.. Development has to be a high priority for all CFC players as other clubs are improving a lot, while we are ageing a lot of players, and come Sep 25, these players will be struggling . We are chasing flags, should be chasing youth and DEVELOPMENT. We will drift to a Richmond club unless the work is done.
The name shouldnt determine if picked. Pick the best player available at the pick you have.. If he shows improvement, take him for free in the mid season draft, or sign him the the VFL side
I'm not convinced by Luke Q. From what i heard about him from other feeds and from people that have watched him, he isn't really rated. If he hasn't shown something special now or much potential, i say we we find a late pick kid that does. Let's not get him just because he is Quaynor's brother.
I hope not , he is slow, watched him.play a few games for the VFL , nothing special at this stage, at least 2 years of development needed. Needs to fire next season in the VFL before he gets a look in.
I saw Qaynors brother in the 2s looked 20 percent worse than every other reserves player. Just becasue he's a brother of a footballer doesnt make him AFL grade
His name suggests he will at least be considered and not only by Collingwood. I'm too sure how the numbers work out but maybe he could be a Rookie selection.
you can go back as far as ,,Lou Richards ,Ron Richards ,Bob Rose, Keven Ron Rose, ,Max Richardson and Wain Richardson ,Ray Shaw,Tony Shaw, Sav Rocca ,Anthony Rocca, Cullam Brown ,Tyson Brown, Josh Daicos ,Nick Daicos ,these were the best
I’ll speak about Isaac first not the only one to question Isaac in terms of ability. He works very hard but 1 to 1 he is below par . He is not getting the ball enough, does not impact games enough. And his 0 to 5 metres speed, change direction quickly, inc recovery are wanting.. this is an ability often overlooked. His marking is serviceable. I see he has given a B+ in the list p, but I rate Isaac as C+. He is overrated. I don’t know anything about Luke, but photo seems to show that he is small, but I don’t know.
I said Josh was taken at 37, I’m still not awake this morning, he was taken at pick 57 as a Father son**

@@chrismichael3786that’s cause fin and reef aren’t very good.
Hopefully Issac Quyanor of ‘25 becomes Issac Quyanor of ‘23 because Issac Quyanor of ‘24 was ordinary. Not sure what happened there.
Maybe we wait another year for the young Quaynor?
He will play for our VFL side, so we will see how he goes from there!
Two Q's!
Houston was a Rookie pickl !!! But TBH, without the Surname, don't think anyone would have noticed anything worth persuing.
From what I saw he looked pretty crap.
IQ had a great 2023 season, an average 2024 and a good 2022 so the jury will be out in 2025
I doubt we will pick him up, he looked bang average at best when he played vfl this season. We shouldn’t just pick him up cause of his last name.

It’s 3 list changes. Not 3 draft picks. We don’t have to use 3 draft picks.
@@PiesFootyoh really. Didn’t realise that. Cool. Still think we will take more than one just based on Leppo’s one eye on trade one on the future line

Trust Derek Hine😁🖤👍✔️🤍

The real only options are you burn all the picks or you draft him I say the worse that could happens is he would get delisted in a few years
People in the comments always think they know enough to work for an afl club by the sound of it
I’d rather see us take a key position player to develop
Derek Hine has a decent record with later picks. If he sees something we back him.
No chance he gets picked up
I watched Luke play in the Collingwood VFL team and he’s way to slow and not worth a pick. Watched him play in the EFL and found him to be average.
Ouch

I personally don't think Luke Quaynor looks the goods at this stage.
Won't in National Draft and his best Bet is Cat-B Rookie but I think he be on the VFL List in 2025
i've only see him play once in the VFL...looked really slow and not even close to being up to it.
Was v confused, forgot Isaac’s first name for a sec
😂😂😂
Couldn’t we bundle those three picks in the 50s for one of Essendon’s picks in the 30s? They’d be worth more on the draft value index for Essendon
not ready yet, I think others would be picked before him.
Hopefully not. I’ve seen better AFLW players.
Pies.

not good enough at the moment
I saw him play a vfl game he looked ok granted he was a bit young abd light got knocked around but moved pretty well !

Worth a punt as he will be cheap, maybe our development program can convert him into a good/great player .
Yep ... definitely roll the dice... Worth a later pick. Always trust the bloodlines

Isaac had a disappointing 24 but up until then was very good. Like others this season suffered from poor coaching decisions
Let him go man
Luke Q 🚀
NO
Lost me at brown bros......
Let him play a full season see if he can get a kick in vfl first.
he is not good enough
Yes to Quaynor jnr
I agree totally
