I love the woods.. but me and my college friends had a very unique experience in them. We accidentally stumble upon a forest village where kids as small as 5yrs are playing with knives - like legit licking them and laughing and pointing at us - everything is calm until they started surrounding us. Some random men told us that they will bring us to the nearest hotel - IF we pay them a hefty price. We did not hesitate, although we did created backup plan B & C in case they take us somewhere more dangerous, better prepared than sorry, and here I am, along my friends - alive. So creepy village in the woods with cannibal like kids, wherever you are, I do not plan to come back ever...
Box Canyon is 20 minutes from me. Creepy people you run into there and normal ones too.
