- Meet retired United States Marine Corps Staff Sergeant Jesse Cottle, who on Veterans Day, joined with his family in accepting the keys to their specially adapted smart home through the Gary Sinise Foundation Restoring Independence Supporting Empowerment (R.I.S.E.) program. Designed and built to facilitate greater freedom of movement and accessibility from room to room and in the technology employed to suite Jesse's range of motion, the home is the result of a years' long process working alongside our partners and the local community Eagle, Idaho. On behalf of the Foundation and Americans across the country who donate in support of our mission, welcome home Cottle family.

WOW I am sorry that Jesse had to go through what happened to him in service to his country. I am really happy that he got what he deserved in defending our country with this home!!! Absolutely LOVE The Gary Sinise Foundation! After reading Gary's Biography, it was quite clear that he had a desire to help Veterans LONG before he got the Hollywood Role of Lt. Dan.....but he would say that particular role has indeed opened so many doors in doing what has become a natural fit in helping These Warriors! Read his book "Grateful american" and catch The Fever that we all know...which is "We All Can Do More" Cheers From Ohio To All

Adaptive equipment for a house is critical. This does my heart good to see his expressions as he discovered all that went into their new home for his every day life. "It's the simple things that we don't think about as able bodied people..." True this. I know.

I am deeply offended that we are forced to watch a political ad before watching this great moving video. These scumbag politicans sent these young men and women to war and bail out when the veterans need them the most. Next time, lets send the politicans to war instead of these brave young men and women.
