Old Hickory Furniture Company Factory Tour 2019

A Chair Nerd Abroad continues with a tour of The Old Hickory Furniture Company Tour, a detour on the way back from speaking at a Furniture Society Conference in Milwaukee.
We'd been in touch with OHF through the years, having worked on hundreds of their pieces after a good long life. (Thanks Camp Greystone and other clients!) It was a thrill to see where all the magic happens. They literally use every single piece of the trees. And many of the employees at this (couldn't be more) American manufacturing company have been there for decades.
Not familiar with their chairs? I bet you have seen them and have even sat in them. The company just turned 123 years old and their furniture has been sold all over the world. Most likely you've seen their furniture in National Park Lodges like Old Faithful or splashed throughout design magazines like a famous celebrity.
