It kinda makes sense for his Ventilation Error ability to be a random thing since sometimes I think those errors happen randomly sometimes in FNAF 3 too
It could've possibly be kept as an ability but be tweaked to make it more fair to play against since VE is not really fun to play against as the survivor. Because if you were to just bring back VE without any changes and with Springtrap's would-be stats, he'd be the most annoying monster in the game.

I elaborate, When Springtrap initates a chase, VE icon will appear but with a timer on it (10-15 secs), the timer will go down if Springtrap is within 25 studs of the player. If the timer reaches 0, Springtrap will be able of manually activate it, though, Springtrap can keep it if to wanted to. The timer will reset if eitheir chase ends or springtrap runs out of stamina.
Or I think maybe survivors could have some sort of ventilation meter that slowly depletes when a player is within Springtrap's VE range and the closer Springtrap is, the quicker the Ventilation meter depletes and when the meter is empty, the player would become hyperventilated. I think it's better than making a survivor immediately hyperventilate when close to Springtrap.

He'd also have a new ability that replaces phantom walk and this ability allows Springtrap to summon phantom animatronics and each of them pressure the survivor in different ways but all of them drain a decent chunk of the Ventilation meter. Hyperventilation would be a debuff that can't go away on it's own but survivors have a maintenance panel that can be used to get rid of the debuff.
I feel like the least they could do if they didn't want to bring Ventilation Error back as an activated ability would be to pause the timer while killing or at least queue it until after the animation is done.
Of course the best tool to actually keep up with the surivor is now rng based, AND evaporates my scamina when I strike the jackpot.I'm hoping that I'm wrong about the rng part.

Good vid! But imma say that Phantom Walk isnt mid since you can two hit Fearful people when axeless, and its not too hard to get people that way if you use it in chase or get wanderers off guard
Also, you didn't try to axe throw too much, and it's a pretty insane ability that isn't too hard to hit on most maps (Pillars wasn't one of them), so I think practicing using it more could improve your opinion of him
Axe throw is finicky and your best ability in a chase was just removed. If they really wanted to nerf him they could have just lessened the darkening of your screen while keeping the move the same in every other aspect. So it's hard to see, yeah, but not overwhelming.
As a passive that activates on a timer there's no garuntee you'll be in a chase or in a situation in general where it's perfectly timed or even useful. The general stat change did nothing, and vent error doesn't even blind people period anymore.

Bring VE back to its original-original state (like when he was first out), but make it only available while missing the axe. This will make survivors lose stamina but due to the damage change, it will be harder to kill survivors with it.
Springtrap did not become worse he became fair, do you guys realize just how broken ventilation error was? Little to no vision faster Stam drain and giving you as small speed boost, nerfing it was not an option. This was the best way. And for those of you saying inkfells buff did nothing I don’t think you play enough inkfell. Ventilation Error doesn't give you stamina drain lol, that was the old ventilation error when he was first added. You could still see well even with Ventilation Error, I escaped Springtrap a lot with Vent Error, you just have to know the map your playing on.

Axe throw is already strong with the current springtrap, phantom walk being faster doesn't make much of a difference when using it only once during a chase already almost guaranteed an outstamina situation. VE was his best tool with and without the axe to rush people because you can actually control it, here even if it's timed, no one is going to be counting each time it activates. Only good change is his speed when axeless
What are people on to? Springtrap rework is very good, the only few changes it needs is the passive (make that it shows when it occure) and the mechanical slam (kinda lame ability ngl). Inkfell change is a significant buff which he needed to be viable again and the monster chance being a REAL chance instead of points is good for new players, but bad for old/good players (my idea is having the new monster chance system in the newbie srvers and old monster chance system in pro servers)
Having one of his best tools become a timed passive is bad, with EXE it works because it's a highlight, springtrap is literally "haha, there goes your stamina and I popped for the 3rd time right when you are stuck on your kill animation", not having control of ventilation error is terrible. You are draining your stamina before you catch up to people, something you can only do when axeless now since even with ventilation error springtrap while holding the axe still can't catch up in time to survivors and Mechanical slam is a niche ability to use when someone it's literally forced to go in your direction to escape you after you corner them on a dead end, it's about knowing when to use it

Springtrap did not become worse he became fair, do you guys realize just how broken ventilation error was? Little to no vision faster Stam drain and giving you as small speed boost, nerfing it was not an option. This was the best way. And for those of you saying inkfells buff did nothing I don’t think you play enough inkfell. I hated the way devils rage worked and how small the hitbox was, now it’s much easier to hit whilst chasing survivors.
Ventilation Error doesn't give you stamina drain lol, that was the old ventilation error when he was first added.
You could still see well even with Ventilation Error, I escaped Springtrap a lot with Vent Error, you just have to know the map your playing on.
They was not cooking with this rework

Ventilation error is now a passive and also if you have fearful debuff when springtrap throws his axe he one shots you

To be fair it is a rework as you can no longer just activate it, it just randomly happens.

You don’t know how to balance evidently
Axe throw is already strong with the current springtrap, phantom walk being faster doesn't make much of a difference when using it only once during a chase already almost guaranteed an outstamina situation. VE was his best tool with and without the axe to rush people because you can actually control it, here even if it's timed, no one is going to be counting each time it activates. Only good change is his speed when axeless

What are people on to? Springtrap rework is very good, the only few changes it needs is the passive (make that it shows when it occure) and the mechanical slam (kinda lame ability ngl). Inkfell change is a significant buff which he needed to be viable again and the monster chance being a REAL chance instead of points is good for new players, but bad for old/good players (my idea is having the new monster chance system in the newbie srvers and old monster chance system in pro servers)
Having one of his best tools become a timed passive is bad, with EXE it works because it's a highlight, springtrap is literally "haha, there goes your stamina and I popped for the 3rd time right when you are stuck on your kill animation", not having control of ventilation error is terrible. You are draining your stamina before you catch up to people, something you can only do when axeless now since even with ventilation error springtrap while holding the axe still can't catch up in time to survivors and Mechanical slam is a niche ability to use when someone it's literally forced to go in your direction to escape you after you corner them on a dead end, it's about knowing when to use it
