Lmao this episode is just amazing. Also to be fair, most anime are not as chaotic and fast-paced as this one. NGNL is extreme and I also had a tough time following it without pausing at times lol. NGNL also has a lot of references to other anime and otaku games so some jokes and references might fly over your head. The first time I watched this I was just too confused to like it because I had just recently gotten into anime but on my second watch I understood pretty much everything and it became one of my favorites.
The reason Steph didn't win is that although Sora told her her opponent was cheating, he never told her HOW she was cheating, so Steph was never able to call her out on it. Sure Steph could go "you're cheating", but without proof that means nothing. Edit: : ah yeah, you figured it out. About the rock-paper-scissors. Sora could only WIN with paper, so lets say he plays rock, and Steph plays scissors. Sora loses because he could only win with paper, but just because he loses doesn't mean Steph wins, Stephs scissor still loses to rock, so the outcome would be that they both lose.
I wanted to say, I think it will be fine if you pause the video to process everything but since you already reacted to it, it won't really matter haha.
