    • @trumpetjordy
      @trumpetjordy  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good question Jordan, that's a really tough question because there are so many good ones! I personally favor- MacArthur Park, Gospel John, Pagliacci, Maria... I like a lot of his earlier music from when he was young. What's your favorite song Jordan?

      @JordanScanlon 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@trumpetjordy I would have to agree with you that there are so many good ones! My favorites would have to be Birdland, Sesame Street, and the Star Wars Theme.

      Hi Chris! I actually play a Callet Studio Artist trumpet, it really helps those high notes! great intonation in the upper register

    Could you suggest me a good mouthpiece for high notes?

    • @trumpetjordy
      @trumpetjordy  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      good question~ the best lead piece for you is the one that fits YOU personally. Not the one that fit's Bobby Shew or Wayne, the one that is a tight fit for you but leaves just enough room for the chops to vibrate. This will seem counter intuitive, but the first thing you can do is make a test for yourself and figure out the piece that fits you best among your existing collection. You can make a test, playing a simple song on each piece, very quietly, quietly so that you can determine which piece gives you the most crisp, clear articulations. The piece that best gives you a crisp clear articulation in the low and middle registers (no air before the note, no passive air in the sound) will be the best piece for you. Then if you're really serious, you can do a play test on a few GR mouthpieces around the same size. GR makes the best mouthpieces out there. State of the art. I don't even like to touch other non GR pieces anymore Lol!

    • @stevenhogenson840
      @stevenhogenson840 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      GR does make fine products but as per your own advice, they won't be the best fit for everyone. I have had a slug of GR models in various sizes and configurations but right now get my best results using Stork models.

    • @trumpetjordy
      @trumpetjordy  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Have you ever thought about trying the GR equivalent of the Stork piece that best fits you? Might be worth giving a try
