In South India, when we first initiate the child into learning it's done in the temples, and children are helped by the temple poojari either to write on sand or rice grains with their fingers. We still follow this tradition.

India has such a Beautiful Educational System! The Muslims, and, later, the British, knew that in order to break an existing Civilization and Culture, one needed to destroy their Educational System as well as spread discord amongst the various Varnas existing in that Country! However, India was able to withstand this assault!

Next 50 years there will be absolutely no change in Indian education system. Since the British education system is deeply engrained in our system. It will take a couple of generations if we start today to come out of this mindset. Sadly even the speakers and all of us are by products of the British education system.

Reservation is difficult to be removed. We are still not that mature in terms of morality otherwise things like Hathras would not happen. But of course, if we work together to change the narrative that it's Britishers who made caste system rigid and somehow prove that Rishi Manu was born after British arrived in India, then something can really be done to remove reservation.

We have been free of the British for 73 years. Why did we not create a system of education that is relevant to our unique Land. We have been free of the Congress rule now for 6 years. The New Education Policy has been introduced. There are many changes in the structure no doubt, but the brain and heart are still Occidental. This is because we have been purged of our Bharathiyathva, in the past 150 years. What remains is only the shell and the educators, and definitely the politicians ate incapable of thinking “Bharath”.

What's important is that India and Indian people learn lessons from the distruction of their civilization and values. People must take pride, and value their own system and culture they are growing up in. If these are not present, then your system will be replaced by another. Hence lesson to be learnt is that India must regain their value system and take pride and be able to challenge other systems over our own so that no conquerers can replace our existing system. It is not enough to simply talk about who took our system and changed it, but to learn why they were able to change it and what we need to do to ensure it doesn't happen again

How do you say only brahmins from south India fell for the bread crumbs ? If you can see north India bore the brunt of British and Islamic invasions more than South India. That's because we south Indians fought more bravely and were able to fend off Islamic invasions. For example, thanjavur brihadeeswarar temple. Not just brahmins fell for the muslim atrocities but north Indian people were more prone to such atrocities and caved in leading to destruction of hindu temples and properties. Please read history properly before commenting.

You know, in today’s world your statement would be classed as Brahminophobic and Southindophobic. You would be classed as a chauvinist who relies upon stereotypes to be prejudiced against groups. Now, I’m not for one moment suggesting you to be any of those, we’ll quickly go over them to be sure we get them right.
      1. Brahminophobic
      2. Southindophobic
      3. Chauvinistic
      4. Prejudiced by stereotypes
But in order to save yourself the hassle of disentanglement from those labels, please just provide a couple of examples to prove your point. You might have a point, maybe a valuable one? but until you provide some evidence with examples they remain opinions to be ignored.

We need to scrap the current dysfunctional educational system and revert back and bring back the ancient metholody and suit it to the latest technology. We need to start teaching our ancient teachings, stories and sages and inculcate pride in our heritage and culture. That will stop the rot in our society and the disdain which the young generation seems to have to anything Indian and related to Bharat or Hindu culture. How long will we keep blaming the British for our pathetic education system ? The British left India in 1947, condemned to incompetent n corrupt self-rule. No Govt since 1947 has cared to review n overhaul the education system which Thomas Macaulay imposed on India in the mid 19th century during British rule. India's ancient Gurukul system was a fine method of all-round education of newer generations, which should be rediscovered and implemented widely in India. Sadly, both, the Constitution of India, as well as the RTE Act discriminate against Hindu educational institutions alone, merely for being the majority religious community. Even the Modi Govt has allocated 1000s of crores to 'modernize' Madrassas across India, for which Hindus are paying, by donating generously at Hindu Temples across India. 100s of 1000s of Hindu Temples alone are under Govt control and their funds are siphoned off by the Govt for 'secular' causes which Hindus don't bother protesting against. In a couple of decades when India becomes a full-fledged Islamic Republic, Hindus will start blaming Muslims for their plight. Sigh !

Why did british instead of learning from India impose their schooling in India ? ( fool remains fool ? ) but there is no 'perfect' education. education is education. Forget pathshala and university. think of everyday education example mother teaching daughter to cook. this is education. all education. is currupted variety of this. don't jump to false conclusion that traditional Indian education is right or best it is just different system. we can see there is basically 3 levels of education- 1)primary ages 8 to 12 on which rest of education is founded writing of alphabet counting timestables, simple math ( addition subtraction multiplication division ) and story like ramyan to shape ones good character plus yoga and physical exercise and sport so the first approximately 6 years are primary education where one also learns to 'learn' ( gets in habit of going to school ) this primary education is usually compulsory so every citizen is functional 2) secondary here from about 12-15 we build on the basic education and prepare the student for High education. now he will write paragraph maybe introduction to report writing maybe introduction to second language and gradual introduction to trades like carpentry drama or the real world not just education maybe field trip to another city etc.( things like music and swimming can be introduced at primary school ) 3) High School transforms the student to Adult with highest thinking mastering what was introduced in middle school and chance to specialize in a field or vocation of ones liking later one can get a diploma 2 yr. in any special trade example electronics etc.

The dethroned tabboo the caste pyramid, was once flourished deep rooted in the arms of education investiture portfolio of ancient India. Ancient India had diversities which each had their own ethnic value rooted education. Merelý talking about anti brits education and to commute that with ancient indian education better be clear of what syllabi you could frame and afford with.
Dont deceive people in the name of heritage. Brits education is a token pass. Within the past 72 years even the parlimentarians and the aristocadre buerocrat lobbies havent extended a uniform education system across states, right from a cosmopolitan venue to a hamlet somehwere in the tribal habitat schools.
First revamp the education system. an make it all come under one roof. The which is another part of discussion yet to. Either way under one roof there should be no CBSE Stae board Matric and Anglo Indian etc etc variants.
Then you may hail the ancient stories which the neo expected education system of your hearsay values of the anciency shall be instilled into that.
Unless you make a clarity of what you want. And justify the donts with precise common decentralised forum. You cant make a brick build on what you suppose to become a castle.

British had destroyed Indian system of education without the knowledge of Indians. They acted very cunningly. There were schools each and every village. Each Street in towns had village. In Madras alone, 10,000 schools were running. The needs of the teacher are looked after by the local people themselves without getting any aid from government. British was astonished to see that the literacy was higher than 65 percent in the contry as whole, whereas the literacy rate in Britain was mere 15 percent. This had irked the British. So, they have decided to close all the schools with no iota of doubts in the minds of people.
Govt announced that hitherto, government will pay the salary of the teachers in the schools all over country. People and teachers were very happy at the announcement. People thought that the burden of looking after the teachers was over and the teachers were happy that they no longer depend upon the people and they could their dues from government very easily. The system went smoothly for six months. Then government issued an order that no subjects should be taught in the schools other than the syllabus prescribed by the government.
They prescribed the syllabus containing non-ethical and unworthy matters with an intention that no one would become intelligent through these studies in the schools. Teachers had no other go but to simply obey the government orders, since they were paid by government. After sometime, government stopped their salary and the schools had disappeared from the villages and towns. Thus, British had destroyed education in India.
They had copied the Indian system of education and introduced in Britain in the name of " Madras Educational System".
In 1900, our literacy rate had come down from 65 to 15 percent, whereas the literacy rate of British had come up from 15 to 65 percent. I request you all that this information should reach each and every citizen of this country.
