Sir, you did not blow my mind. I just commend you for the click bait. :D Like frogs being slowly cooked in a pot? Well, if that is the case, isnt that what our governments and politicians do all the time? Oh goodness. I understand your concerns but I still believe that we humans are gifted with brains to distinguish right from wrong. Meanwhile, to label something as garbage, on your first argument, well, a burger on a dirty bin does not look savory but would be savory for someone homeless and hungry. That initial argument is... well... we call that prejudice. It is not fruitful and not as thought provoking as you claim it. Sorry. Just someone out here looking for a stronger argument in line with Lara Sottos premise.
I thought may discussion about sa actual film style like it’s a cheap film made to drum up controversy para makakuha ng viewers. Sorely disappointed on the argument presented that good things are good and bad things are bad. I watched the trailer and found nothing offensive in it. Honestly think it would just contain a generic feel good movie ending where the devil would be the one turned by the child. The rating is weird since bakit ma ooffend ang church when the basis of Christianity is redemption? Should it not count as a win to turn the alleged “big bad” to good?
I say the same. If it is a kitsch version of Lucifer so be it. In addition, my disappointment in the argument that good is good and bad is bad is too weak when placed against artistic license. I almost find it hateful and vindictive. Anyhow, the uploader hates Satan, which, I suppose, explains this bias. Artistic freedom allows for anyone to feel inspired or offended and knows no limits. I likewise find the trailer inoffensive (and clickbaity hehe.) Ginagamit na lang ng MTRCB yung presidential decree para majustify nila na atake daw sa religious beliefs yung film eh hindi naman ganun yung konteksto ng storyline niya. And yes, hindi mindblowing yung argument. Hehe.
Great video! In relation to this I highly recommend y'all the books entitled The Exorcist Files (Volumes 1 and 2). They're interviews of Exorcists in the Philippines (and in the second volume, two Exorcists from Taiwan and Korea and the Exorcism ministry team) and their stories. The book is by Ma'am Joy L. Cuadrante and the editor is Fr Jocis Syquia. I highly recommend this book, it opened my eyes (only two of them, definitely not the third one!) to the realities of the occult, how it affects us, and how recourse to Our Lord and Our Lady will help us to triumph over the evil one. It can be bought from St. Paul's bookstore, I bought my copies at Gateway Cubao. Moreover, this helped a good friend of mine to reversion and renunciation of all things occult. Once again, HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!
Dun sa movie ni Dolphy na Omeng Satanasia pinapakita dun na kung sa ganyang bagay maooffend ka na malamang hindi ganun kalakas ang pananalig mo. I suggest panoorin mo din sir ung take ni Paolul about diyan para ma broaden ang views mo sa movie na yan also about sa rating I think OA ang X Rating make it r-13 or r-18 at least
The movie is bad. No one is going to tell you that it's good. I agree with you on that. But the reason why there's backlash around this is because basic constitutional rights as a human being and as a Citizen have been stepped on by personal biases because they were offended. The contents of the movie is irrelevant at this point. Tbh if it were any other topic even if it didn't involve Satan, it'll still garner the same backlash due to the same pain points. Sotto literally banned the movie due to personal feelings. She could have omitted herself in the rating process of this movie and put in a proxy that does not have the same personal biases. That's their job as a regulatory body. To objectively rate something without biases that's within the parameters of the rules and regulation that they have set to only bend it if they personally have problems with it. The problem with the movie is the technicalities surrounding it. What fearlessly stupid take. Also, congrats on your book. May it be successful and teach the lessons that it conveys. Keep up the good work.
Can’t wait to have Satan blame his transgressions on everyone else but himself. Then may maliit na redemption arc at hindi na niya kailangang managot kasi he is now good. He is now highly revered by a misunderstood few and they all lived happily ever after.
Iba sumusupport sa movie pero di naman manonood. Kahit iba naman title niyan di naman ako nanonood niyan. Mga ganyang writing quality at plot predictable naman. Trailer pa lang alam mo na ang ending. Wala siyang ka excitement factor. Not really a fan of predictable movies. Kahiit Pinoy, hollywood o any country pa yan. Basta predictable wala ng papanoorin pa.
After watching the 3 minute trailer, hindi mo na kailangang panoorin yung film. It's just a "Lucifer" lite edition. I would not give it a G or PG rating, It's definitely an R-13 since it tells a very misleading story about Satan. This kind of storytelling is better suited to teens, or a mature audience rather than elementary kids. You are basically desensitizing young children with this retelling of the lord of darkness. People can change, but Satan is not a mortal being. His sole purpose is to deceive God's children and lead them away from his grace. This is an insidious way to twist morality, disguising evil and giving false security, and groom kids to accept sinful ways.
Kaya naman pala: "CONSERVATIVE PODCAST AND VLOG...." "In this episode, Jay Aruga makes a fearless forecast, without seeing the movie, he knows it will suck and he'll tell you why." ----Typical conservartive. lol Im an Atheist/Agnostic. So Im defiinitely not commenting in defense of satan (malamang), neither on christianity. But its more on the movie and the expression of the artists or whoever wrote the story. Give em a break, bro! lol The movie wasnt conceptualized with a goal to be viewed by the masses. Though they gave it a shot.. Im pretty sure they knew what their fate would be (swerte na nga at wala na si Manoling Morato. lol). There shouldnt be a "conservative uproar(?)" especially on things that you deem wrong (just because maybe you dont understand). Hindi naman porket "different" ay "dangerous" na. Try the 80's movie "Oh God", and "Oh God! You Devil"
I do not understand why many people say it is dangerous for kids. It is dangerous because it challenges already established beliefs. That is all I know.
