I honestly don't care if there are trans in the studio as long as they keep their ideology to themselves. The thing that is easy to forget is that most trans and LGBT people - behave like normal people. They don't want to be "Seen", they don't need special pronouns, they don't act gaudy or weird. I don't know anything about those dudes, but I honestly don't care how they dress or what they do in their life as long as they can focus on the quality of the game. I understand that it's a red flag and that the industry has trained us to recognize that flag as bad sign. But I'm not gonna pre-judge. Also, don't you think this is a great argument as to how pushing DEI has radicalized people? 10 years ago when you saw that, you wouldn't think that the game is going it be bad. And now it's come to a point where just seeing one of the team members makes everyone discouraged and demotivated, because bad actors have ruined so much stuff.
Steve LMFAO, that designer is sooo laaaaazy , he didn't even added a little extra effort to clean the line details, the picture looks like the artwork of an 8 years old child trying his first character design, there are artist able to speed draw way much better in just 2 hours of work, look at the black brush details around Steve 1:46:00 , if that's their best, i rater sacrifying my job as artist and welcoming AI to replace such bad designers on the gaming industries, at least AI makes it cleaner even if there are some weird mistakes like 6 fingers
About Eve. Here's the thing. If it was just a fan art or something like that - I would have felt very bad for the artist for all the hate they're getting. I would have praised it, because this is 100x better than anything I personally can draw. But this is a principal artist from another game studio, and there's just no way in hell their skill level is on such a low level that they can't draw Eve properly. I can clearly see the technique that went into this picture - the shading, the reflective suit, the dynamic pose. So this person CLEARLY can draw pretty well. But somehow you can't draw face and tits? That's where your skill breaks down and you draw some weird angular mockery? Like, I'm sorry, but this is either deliberately uglified and desexualized - or this person shouldn't work at a game studio because their drawings look nowhere near good enough to land that job. One or the other. I lean towards the former, because ND art direction was always exquisite. But then I can't forgive taking other studio's character and making a mockery out of her, especially at a time when your studio is already criticized for your ugly character design. and I honestly don't feel the second picture is that good either. I mean, yeah, it's still 100x better than what I can draw. But it's not on the level that I would expect from a AAA artist. Perhaps he's more about environmental art? IDK
