Man, don’t get me wrong, I love your channel, but in my opinion the shilling videos for outfits like this are bs. I’m guessing you get their crap for free, but even that’s paying too much for it. Expired use by date cereals from Albania at the dollar store have better prizes inside them than the junk this place pawns off.
I don't shill, I just open them and have fun. I don't get a dime for these, but I like sharing autographs and people enjoy unboxings. They're good for this channel, but it's not like I'm working on commission here. Between my movie reviews, weekly interviews, and the other kinds of videos I consistently create, maybe you can cut me a little slack for unboxing autographs once a month.

There’s always a fine line when it comes to objectivity over “free” stuff being covered/reviewed. Anyway, the simple solution is that I skip videos like this and focus on all the other ones you do that I enjoy, which are numerous. Leave it to human nature to have my first comment on your channel be a negative one instead of the positive ones I could have been posting all along. So sorry about that. Recently you mentioned in a video how by default you were exposed to all sorts of vintage pop culture when you were a kid in the 80’s because the technology back then came with such inherent limitations. I was thinking that might make an interesting topic for a video, the irony of today’s world where more freedom of choice has actually encouraged people to choose LESS and instead dwell in a perpetual pop culture comfort zone, never wanting to explore anything outside of it. That’s the first comment I should have posted on your channel, not something negative and discouraging!
It's safe to assume most TH-camrs you watch are getting pretty much everything they talk about for free, including me. Not every video here is for everyone and I'm doing things that I know will bring new viewers to my channel while also balancing reviews, new release coverage, the deeper topics such as collecting struggles and my own deep dives into movie history. The thing I'm most passionate about right now is B-westerns of the 30s-50s, but I have to figure out a way to talk about them that will be interesting to people because videos that don't perform well hurt the channel when it it comes to TH-cam's algorithm. Please know that everything you see on this channel is here for a reason, even if it doesn't connect with you personally. Thanks for the video suggestion and please consider subscribing! It’s a shame that YT algorithms work like that and that the age old question of figuring out what will “sell” and what won’t will never be an exact science. I do love the variety of your channel and that even us loyal subscribers never know what will pop up next as a topic. In a world so dedicated to worshiping demographics, it’s great you are willing to still expand horizons and thwart expectations. As for B Westerns, I admit it took me a long time to warm up to them, but now I find them on the whole to be fascinating and consistently engaging. I’m sure you know that ClassicFlix is working on major restorations of the Hopalong Cassidy film series and in my opinion his output arguably represents the best B Westerns of them all. So maybe it’s a good time for a video on the subject. I would love to see it!

I will probably be making a video early in the year about TH-cam, collecting, being a slave to the algorithm, and how the whole platform seems set up to break creators. It's going to be interesting!
