Sam Neill was so perfect for Jurassic Park, he was never your prototypical, Harrison Ford-esque type, but he really captured the awe and intelligence of Alan Grant. It's great to see him in the hat again, I very much hope they get him into the new movies somehow.

From what he says as well, Alan Grant more or less became sick with dinosaurs, retired from Palaeontology and ended up running his own accounting firm. Either that or he's dead. He's basically disappeared and nobody knows where he is.

When the T. rex came out, the cinema had the speakers set to “ make them deaf”. cuz to this day I’m still suffering from the high noise. But man it was great watching this in the theater
