Sweeden's songs are always amongst my favorite ones in Eurovision. They have a thing for europop that sets them apart from the rest. I remember 2003's "Fame". Amazing.
Gwisemua Norway 2004 was written by Swedes for the swedish national final. It didn't go very well. Have a look on TH-cam, he took part in Stjernekamp in Norway. That lad can do so much!!!!
of course 1974 started it all from Sweden...
Sweden also produced some of the best metal bands like Meshuggah, In flames, At the gates etc. Thats what happens if you combine a wealthy welfare state with the boredom of a mostly rural/small town country which leads to creativity

People made fun of this song at the time for being one of the most stock songs Sweden ever sent, and it remains that way. It was hilarious when Norway only gave it 2 points and the crowd was in too much disbelief to react. Yet it still finished in 5th place with 100 points, but no 12s.
This received a maximum of 10 from Denmark, and five 8s (including all three Anglophone countries, 🇬🇧🇮🇪🇲🇹)

This came before the Japanese version. ;) And they do credit the Swedish song writers in the opening credits of Digi Carat Nyo. ;) This group - Friends - won the Swedish national selection with this song in Swedish (Lyssna till ditt hjärta). But they translated it into English to perform at the Eurovision song contest in 2001. :)

Serena espesially the chours. The verses are a mix from Abba-songs, take me to your heaven, the intro to chours are recht up in de wind, dutch entry from 1987..... they sing like Abba. All in all a nice and catchy copy-mix-mess!

Exactly, I remember when this song won 2001 as our song for Eurovision 2001, the band is quite well known around here, though not a favourite. Anyway, I had no idea there was a cover, going to listen. (This is so scary when they make cover of B-song Melodifestivalen hits)

Well, as far as I have investigated the Sweden version was first (2001), and then came the Japanese version in 2003.
The Belgian one was the first one (1996), and this version stole it.

Some notes are similar to "liefde is een kaartspel', but everybody are getting ideas from eachother. There are few songs who are without influences. They are both from Västergötland. The inhabitants called "gauti-goths" by Tacitus the roman historian. Original name 'gautar' or *gautans. The goths probably didn´t come from here. The inhabitants were probably called *gapt, 'gepidi' in plural in the roman empire.They could have,(Ingemar Nordgren), given goths idea about weaponless graves.

Often songs sounds similar to each other. I haven´t heard the belgian song. But it´s possible it sounds as this one. I think it´s unavoidable that songs off and then are inspired by other songs. Composers gets various inspirations from everything they remember.
I am from Sweden and definitely like Belgium. It´s a fascinating mix of Vallons and Flemish people.

Well, the japanese version is a bit versioned, but this is the original, but Belgium said this was a copy from the Belgium song for Eurovision 96

It's just a short part that sounds similar. But there was another song that was VERY similar. This song might have been a copy of that one. Don't remember the title, it was a less known artist.
