    I live in Bournemouth and there is a high organized crime that do target students and no police around to stop it.I have seen students distracted by blokes talking to the student and another bloke stealing from student bags.I have students come up to me crying as purse stolen from her handbag.Also bloke hit into womens arm to release her handbag to grab it and run off.I don't say this to scare anyone just what I have seen I don't want to happen to anyone else.

    Hello! i'm planning on applying for 2022, can you choose to live with individuals of the same gender or is it mixed? Thank you x

    • @emilysstory9037
      @emilysstory9037  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I believe some dorms are same gender, most are mixed but I think there are a few that are set so only same genders can live together. The application process is also quite nice as you can see who has already picked your flat so say you looked at a flat of 4 and 3/4 were all the same gender you could pick that last spot, hope that helps!

    Hey there @emilysstory9037 :) was this a standard or premium room? I've just got a spot in Bailey point but only standards were available. I want to know if I will have a big window like yours as having a lot of light is important for me! I'll be on floor 8 if that helps. Thanks :)

    hiii! i just applied to bournemouth for psychology and was wondering how many people get their first choice of accom? i've heard bailey point is really popular, how quickly would u say all the rooms 'book/sell out'? :))

    • @loupalmer2001
      @loupalmer2001 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m currently a student at Bournemouth university and staying in Bailey Point I suggest you book as soon as you can as sells out very quickly

    Hi, I'm planning to study in BU in Sep, the accom price guide said, i could choose weather inclusive "bus pass" or not. Do you think it's worth to pay with bus pass? Thanks~

    • @emilysstory9037
      @emilysstory9037  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I think the bus pass it fully worth it, I was in uni 5 days a week and you can also use it on some of the other busses if you didn't want to walk into town or wanted to go over to boscombe for example. You'll definitely get your money's worth out of it :)

      The studio flats are lovely but I guess lack a bit of the social aspect as you're on your own so will have to meet people in other flats but they're a good size and have all the amenities you could need :)

    • @emilysstory9037
      @emilysstory9037  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oo I'm not massively sure on international scholarships, but I know the uni offer a lot of scholarships, so quite possibly! They have a whole page dedicated to scholarships on their website so you might find something about it there :)

    Hey, is there parking at the accommodation or would you suggest not bringing my car? Thanks x

    • @emilysstory9037
      @emilysstory9037  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can bring a car, a lot of my friends used to park down neighbouring roads but unfortunately there's no parking at the accommodations. From personal experience though, you don't really need a car because everything is so close to the student flats. Second year is when having a car becomes more useful but most the student houses have driveways so you should be covered :)

    • @emilysstory9037
      @emilysstory9037  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      By the uni your best bet is to get a job in one of the cafes or supermarkets on Winton highstreet. Else in Bournemouth town centre there are so so many shops, because it's a uni town a lot of the employers are very flexible with shifts. I worked at Primark first year and they were happy for me to just do 1 shift a week

    i’m booking bailey soon, are there certain flat numbers you’d recommend for a sea view?

    • @SkaterBlades
      @SkaterBlades 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You aren't going to get one, it's in an area where there are a few tall student buildings and it's in the middle. Plus it's too far from the beach anyway.
      I used to live in lyme regis house last year which is around the corner

      I was floor 11 and I could sea the sea decently from my flat so I'd say at anywhere from 10 and up for a clear view any lower and you might see it but not as well :)
