- Hello everyone (*˘︶˘*).｡.:*♡ I'm alive!~~ I mean ... of course I am. The surgery was only minimal. A routine procedure that children commonly get ... i wasn't nervous or anything ...
In truth, I was very very nervous but here we are and my tonsil are gone! Today, we have a reading vlog :) This is my first proper day outside after having the surgery. I decided to do a bit of book shopping, grab one of my uni books, and do some reading in the park. I was a little tired, and a little sore, but it was an incredibly beautiful day and I loved it.

The Graveyard Book was THE book of my childhood. I owned 2 copies and since I was a very sick kid I would take it to the hospital with me and just read it over and over. It got to the point that one copy started falling apart. I now read the other copy to my nephew and plan to give it to my future kid. Its just so amazing and its what got me into writing.
I'm so glad you're doing alright! I had a tonsillectomy last summer for similar reasons. I referred to the several days later excruciating pain "throat razors." My doctor warned me about them and explained that it's the time when the scabs from the cauterization start to peel away as you swallow. I know that doesn't make it feel any better, but knowing why the pain was happening put my mind at ease a little bit. I hope you're almost completely recovered by now!
While watching this I was getting such a chill relaxing vibe,loved this vlog so much.I feel like it's one of the best things in the world to just sit in a nice spot with a great book and something to drink or snack on.I really enjoyed this!:D

My mum mentioned I was anemic as a young kid, and I have to watch my iron levels. Hope you've found a good supplement, I'm taking a liquid type.
I always forget about the whole Southern Hemisphere thing because I was like “How is she wearing a scarf???? It’s like so hot out!!!!”... whoops... 🤣🤣🤣
it's such a strange thing and so many people from the Northern Hemisphere forget! But growing up in the Southern Hemisphere, we constantly consume American and British media so we're always aware of it. And I associate Halloween with autumn and Christmas with winter ... even though I'd grown up with a spring Halloween and summer Christmas for the first 20 years of my life. It's so funny!

P.S. The pain scale is subjective. It's to determine how much of pain killers you might need to help you feel better and for comparison/progression in the healing process.

Hi Christy! Because of your videos I have added do many more books to my TBR list. 🙂 ..The Graveyard Book being one of them as well as The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, and Strange Weather in Tokyo. (I've placed a hold on it at my local Library) You've also helped me be more mindful about buying my books from local bookstores instead of having Amazon be my immediate go to for book purchases. Side note the bruising is more to do with your anemia and not so much the nurse. Also, taking vitamin C will help you absorb more of the iron your taking.

I’m seeing this video very late, but I’m really interested in your tonsil story. I went through a similar experience with the infections and the urgent care center said there was a problem with my tonsils but they didn’t think I needed them out at that time. I also have a problem with constant sinus infections, so I’m getting surgery to fix that this summer, but I might ask my ear nose and throat doctor about my tonsils next time and see what she has to say about them!

After my surgery I cried a lot but not for the pain I was in but because I couldn't eat fries and that my friends was the worst

The book I'm reading is a children's book 😊 It's 'The Graveyard Book' by Neil Gaiman. It has one illustration per chapter, but it's not a picture book I'm sorry! Neil Gaiman has a few beautiful picture books, though. If you want a recommendation, you should check out 'Instructions' 😊
