These door videos break my brain Nick. I'm just doing silly rust repair stuff and my brain is going nuts working out how everything was initially assembled and wanting to keep the order straight. Great video
I took my first car door off at about age 14 and was fascinated how the engineers made it adjustable. Your setup reminds me how the engineers did it. Not only are you a gifted and talented man but you are very intelligent. I enjoy watching you create things from raw sheet metal stock. Thanks for the entertaining video.
Thanks Nick you are progressing well on this project. I was worried you might have bogged down on it but like a true professional you continue to power through.
As ever, live it Nick. Yes do an in depth start to finish on the electric windows That's why we come to you Nick for the quality I fo you provide. Take care, Joe
Nice work on the door shell Nick, the front guard did look a bit chunky behind the wheel its amazing how just taking a small slice out transformed the look. I would be interested in the power window from scratch episode, you can never have too much knowledge....... and it will be helpful when I do mine. Cheers Greg
Hi Nick! Thank you for the great video on making a door! This is really an eye opener for me and helps to unlock the mystery of making a door. I plan to make a custom body for my next project and your videos have given me a lot of confidence to do it. Thank you so much! Carl
I really enjoy your videos. The detail is great. I think it would be very interesting and informative to see how you do the windows. I look forward to seeing the progress each week.
Nik, I think your door is looking great ! Thats a feat only for someone who really knows what to do ! I'm sure if you could have bought one you would have in a heartbeat ! My hat's off to ya ! Nice job !
Very exciting viewing. I love your skill level that’s amazingly hard work for the odd Joe blow to do. You are a genius. Not that it is something that I couldn’t do.💪😮😅
Brilliant forward thinking on all aspects of the construction Nick, extremely well done (what's one small screw to be sacrificed, that's nothing) I imagine you've already thought about the top hinge plate being hard up against the front plate, not allowing movement of the plate for adjustment, and I thought I had problems making parts of a '64 Morris door, ha!... oh boy, I'm having problems with that, but, thanks to you, I'm learning new skills every week.. Thank you
I have made 2 sets of complete doors, one set for a 34 Ford and one for a 32 Ford ; both were roadsters and it wasn't easy! Comparing to your project a walk in the park. By the way l held the upright on with my finger while you were away. Rob
Hey Billy! I'm really leaning towards keeping the 331 Semi Hemi and push button trans. Love the sound she makes and performance wise it's comparable to a HEMI(same block, different heads)... then after 80mph the HEMI takes over. Thanks for watching!!
Look at it this way ... if your getting paid by the hour ... you'll be able to retire early ... if you bid the job you better of had a sharp pencil ... if you are a true car guy i doesn't matter how long it takes because you're never done with a great project ...patients man ... patients ... at least you don't have to worry about door handles ... right?... right? ... good video ...
Hi Nick, you and i have something in common, when i build a car and see something that really annoys me i to stop what i am doing and correct it like you did on the front fender,it drives me crazy, regards warren
a constructive criticism, you should lower the volume of your microphone so you can avoid sounds like your breathing and the rubbing of the fabric of your clothes. Your work is tremendous, thank you for sharing it with everyone.
@enriquethekid Without realizing it I bumped the volume button(which is next to the power) to max I guess when I turned it on or off at some point. Caught it much later on while doing other videos(oops) so there will be a few episodes like this. Thanks for the feedback!
Usually after creating 1/4 scale drawings for a build I give them to a buddy who owns a print shop. He scans, scales and prints them for me. Other times I'll develop a design in Photoshop save it as a PDF and he'll blow it up and print it. Give your local print shop a visit with a PDF of what you want scaled they should be able to help you out.
Had to move it into the other bay. Working on getting the metalwork on the 56 done and car rolled outside for a look. New Gangrene episode will be coming soon.
These door videos break my brain Nick. I'm just doing silly rust repair stuff and my brain is going nuts working out how everything was initially assembled and wanting to keep the order straight. Great video
Yet another video that's worth the wait . Thank you, my friend
YES Nick, a video of installing power door windows would be great! Thank you, Carl
I think I’m more impressed with your patience than anything else. I don’t know how you do it. It’s getting there a piece at a time though.

The shape of the new wheel opening is much better.

No genius here Charlie. It's all about mileage, the more you do the more comfortable you get. Thanks very much for watching!!
Excellent video, I always wondered how you would go about building a door from scratch!
Glad you enjoyed it!

Great eye! Hinge plate issue was addressed. Thanks for watching ad best of luck with your door. You'll get it done!!
Ok then, I’ll wait for the next video
Thank you Mr Nick
Thanks for watching Sam!! We'll get there yet.
Wow. I thought I saw some smoke coming from your head while you were thinking there.😀Lots of stuff goes around inside when fabricating.
😁
Never saw a hole door being made great work

Very cool! No door build is ever a walk in the park. Each has it's own challenges. Btw, thanks for the help!!
Yes to power window science
nice job
Looks like great progress to me, have you decided on engine/ transmission yet. Really enjoying this build👍

haha! Take it you're not a fan of door handles. We'll see where part 3 takes us. ;)
Power Windows Episode, Yes please.
Nick...look forward to my Saturday morning coffee and your new video while my wife sleeps! Curious, how many hours will you have creating this door?
While building the door I was into working on other areas on the car so not really sure.
Thinking ahead is always important 😂
It may be obvious to some. lol!
Nice!!!! Very informative!!! Where did you get those regulator kits?
ebay Used them in JuicdBox too.
You are amazing with the English wheel do you keep all these beautiful car or do sell some of them owning one would be special
Some we build for clients. The 51 Ford I built for my Dad. As for this 56 I'm doing it for myself.
Jeep XJ door checks seem to be be a common part used on custom vehicles.
I would very much like to see the power window build
Could you put a vent like a mustang on the quarter panel but reverse it and put on the front finder
That might look interesting Lee! Would help minimize the expanse.
Well done love your videos what is the brand of tin snips you use? not sure if we can get them in NZ
Wiss, but they aren't like they used to be. Looking for a new brand to try. Thanks for watching and the thumbs up!
@@iNVisionPrototypes Thanks
👌👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I'm 100% on board with the fender it was too long between the door and the tire!
It's perfect....my Android has got to be maxed out to hear the vid.

@jedclampett6466 Ok. Thanks!!
Were do u get the printing of full scale car on walls

Don’t forget the latch man. You are welcome boss. Question: Did Studebaker have a car with a similar front end as your Chrysler?
Yes, it was the Hawk.
I'll try not to, thanks!! lol!
Love creating things from nothing also
Cool video Nick..
Hey I'm about to make a gas tank for my 38..18 gauge ok.?

Thanks for watching!!
What happened to the charger?
Had to move it into the other bay. Working on getting the metalwork on the 56 done and car rolled outside for a look. New Gangrene episode will be coming soon.
