It seems the game glitched out, because he died before he became "active". Princes take damage from both enemies and stage-hazards. Frogs only get harmed by stage-hazards. "Inactive" Princes (during the countdown) are invulnerable; my guess is they can't be harmed by enemies AND can't be harmed by stage-hazards. I also think that the "death pit" is actually just a line or a thin area that insta-kills you. So what happened is that he fell passed that "kill-line" as an invulnerable inactive prince, and then just continued falling out-of-bounds. That said, why it then moved to Jirard's final screen at the end is a complete mystery to me. My best guess is that the game just moves the screen "the last location the player was in". Because Alex was out-of-bounds, the game couldn't find a valid location to move to, so it stayed where it was.
The genuine anger and rage in this episode is so pure. I can't NOT stare in wondermazement. Also I'm really digging the art style of this game. The graphics are cute and colorful and cartoony. The juxtaposition of that with these three bearded men screaming at each other makes for a wonderful video. This is why I absolutely adore Multiplayer Mayhem.

Agreed! Character balance seemed to be a bit of an issue and I wonder if we missed out on anything in the Arena mode. But bug aside a solid, interesting game!

I wasn't made by a random developper tho! Ankama is the dev studio behind it, and they made tons of games in the past including 2 MMORPG, Dofus and Wakfu. They even made the Wakfu show and recently the Dofus animated movie. It's one of the biggest media creation group in france.
This was so god damn glorious! Alex vanishing into the ether, Jirard winning by a lot, Jesse losing, it had it all. And even though I enjoyed all the other Mayhems of Season 2 very much so far, I probably laughed way more in this alone than in the others combined. LOVE IT! MORE!
When Alex got juggled and screamed where am I!!! I cried, too funny. But really I was super disappointed that his character got lost and he didn't even have a chance.
I'd love to see you guys go back to this for a round 2, it was such a great multiplayer mayhem game, even with Alex being sucked into the Bermuda Triangle

I remembered you made this and looked all over for it, but assumed it had been privated like many old videos of long term creators. It was only after I searched under the Multiplayer Mayhem playlist that I found this. It has been so long.
hands down funniest thing i have seen in the past 4 years. holy shitt, 4 mins after the video has finished and im still laughing at jesse falling down twice during the last battle. LOL
15-20 minutes into the video and none of them has realised that they can't keep moving right all the time or they'll just keep running into the bullets. = sometimes the fastest way to the goal isn't to keep moving foward in a predictable patter (running into the projectiles)
Yep I don't think u can blame them though. Years of experience have honed us to treat platforming projectiles as predictable. It's weird to get your head around faking out a human.
Not to mention they all fail entirely to use their shields and dodges and most criminally their ranged attacks to take out the robots shooting from ahead straight at them. It's like they've never played a platformer or bullet hell before.
