I’m glad this game is still being worked on. You can tell the devs are passionate and consider player feedback. Looking forward to the 1.0 release whenever that happens
This game deserves so much more support. It's been said for years that it would be too difficult and expensive to make an open world Bethesda style RPG but it sure feels like they're still doing it.
I picked this game up the first time you covered it. There is a lot to love about this game, sure it was rough but the passion and love for what the devs are doing is super clear to see and I wish them nothing but the best of luck. Thanks for not only bringing the game to my attention but also this update, I had no idea it was coming.
Really excited for this! We dont get games in the vein of Skyrim that often so its really nice to see that this is shaping up. They did really good with their previous title as well, although its a different genere(roguelike deckbuilder) its and underrated one imo so worth looking into of anyone wasnt aware of it.
9:35 “Thought it was a glitch, it was not” My favorite! Much better than the inverse, which happens far too often in The El… uhm, well, OTHER games of this ilk.
Happy to see this game progressing. I’m excited for it but as a rule I don’t play games until full release now. Does the skill/perk/leveling overhaul include support for fighting unarmed? I thought I had heard that the older version had some perks for fist fighting.
I had fun with my initial play through and ended up doing something similar as the character in the footage, combat magic and finish off with 2-handed weapons. Will give this one another go after the next update, but glad to see the immediate improvement for lighting, combat and skill tree.
Love the game But a couple of things i would change personaly 2 stats points per lvl is something that is really needed, cause of what i saw your HP doesn't go up when you level, so you always end up investing in Endurance/Constitution, cause there is a point, even in the first zone, where you are basicaly a Glass cannon. I can one shot enemies, but if i melee with them, they barely grazes me and i go down, even tho i invested a bit into HP, to reach 80hp, but its like their damage scale or something evne tho their levels don't... And while i dig the bonfire systeme, i must either be really unlucky or have a bugged playthrough, cause after i've got 25 of those magic webbings to activate the magic bonfire, I NEVER got anymore of it. And since you need 10 of it to identify items dropped by creatures at night, i'm stuck with 20 items in my personal chest that i can't do shit with it, cause there is no other way to identify them. Either boost the ratedrop of those webbing,s since theyr are used to activate the bonfire, and also for identifying AND ALSO for Fast travel. Or at least allow to have items identified by an NPC for gold, and Fast travel should NOT require the mystical webbings, cause since i loot NONE for the past 18 hours of gameplay, i have to slog throughout the entire map when i have to go back to talk to an NPC for a quest...
I played this on xbox and genuinely had a blast with the demo it feels like oblivion to me it fits snug as a glove everything I knew about oblivion i can put into practice here genuinely excited for the full console launch in 2025
I played this one a couple months ago and found so much potential in it, wasn't a fan of the first few quests but it eventually gets going, the setting is amazing and I'm sure the beggining will get ironed out eventually...it definitely gives Morrowind vibes more than Skyrim, and I'm all for that tbh The melee combat looks so good now, can't wait for the full release! And thanks for covering this one Mort!
The game seems to be shaping up well, and it shows how the devs care about the project. It's tough to pull off a proper open world RPG, but I certainly wish the devs the best in their endeavor.
Got this 2 years ago, finished whats in it a year ago enjoyed it a lot ( that time they dropped a big patch too ), and I will play it once again now diffrent build act 2 woop woop!
Big fan of this kind of style and being able to mix up melee with magic. Really it's the big pull for me with the Elder Scrolls series. I wasn't too thrilled when I saw it a year ago but it's definitely looking good.
Just tried the demo on Steam, for some reason the image ended up being very dark, as I screwed up the initial brightness calibration. I couldn't find any way to make it brighter after that. But I had a blast playing the demo as a 1H+Shield character. I also loved being able to pick up all the trash, which seemed to have a gold value attached to it, whereas some Skyrim trash has 0 value, and I didn't seem to become overencumbered at all, which is also great news for a packrat like me. I only hope that the scaling will work more like either Morrowind or Skyrim, and less like Oblivion.
i really think they made a great game with Tainted grail, the card rogue like game. I hope they make a part 2. I even find it better than Slay The Spire.
There's a free demo available on steam (something I think lots of games could benefit from) and immediately bought it, then came to youtube to see if you had covered it yet. I think for $30 its got a lot going for it.
Thanks for the video. It seems like we should be at the point were magic attacks should have more weight to them. You've mentioned the floatiness of melee attacks in other titles, so why do fireballs still look like your throwing a basketball? Onward to 400k. All glory to the algorithm.
Appreciate you following up on games you checked out before. As someone who loves Skyrim, this one has a lot of promise for me. Did you get a chance to (re-)try on Steam Deck, by any chance? I recall originally it was prone to crashing once you enter the open world, and have heard mixed things since.
Had this game parked up since 2023 as it had some pretty bad performance issues for me even on a high end PC (4090 etc). I will probably give it a bit longer but I think this has a lot of potential
The T-posing guy's quest remembers me a quest in Morrowind that is given by a Nord on the way from Caldera to Ald'ruhn. I wonder if it's a reference to that! I also like the glyphs on the summoned creatures as it makes them stand out from the other ones.
Does this Patch 0.7 also apply for GOG? I am pondering which to get it on. I heard GOG overall is the better to get games on because I was informed that on there, you actually own the game and can play offline?
It does. I picked this up yesterday on GOG. The offline installers haven't been updated yet, but GOG Galaxy will fetch the 0.7 patch when installed or updated from there.
I’m glad this game is still being worked on. You can tell the devs are passionate and consider player feedback. Looking forward to the 1.0 release whenever that happens

Thanks for checking in on this one! Had a blast with it about a year ago. Had no idea they updated it!
I am happy you are covering this. Game has a lot of potential.
I’m actually excited about this game. Their first release, the card game is really good and clearly a labor of love
I'm done with early access games, but I'll definitely check it out when it releases
Ummm... This game was great prior to the update... It's definitely worth supporting in early access

I played completely through the content on offer a couple months back. AWESOME game-in-progress. Truly like a grittier TES…cannot wait for more!

I didnt see anything but I didnt deep dive it too hard given its all subject to further change still

The T pose guy got me, brilliant idea LOL.
Just got the game loving and streaming it over on my channel
Love the game

I was hoping for an update on this. I've enjoyed this game and the deck builder game far more than i ever expected.

Just played the demo on Xbox. I can say that this is definitely a day one buy for me.
Looks great, I'll still wait for some more updates though. Really looking forward to the finnished product.
Looking forward to that 1.0 release. Highly anticipated. I wonder how it'll perform on steamdeck
i really think they made a great game with Tainted grail, the card rogue like game. I hope they make a part 2. I even find it better than Slay The Spire.

As someone who backed both table games I really want it to be a success

Deff worth staying up with this I put in a few houses after releasing into early access.. maybe time to return 😊
So excited to see this game getting updates, really enjoyed the EA last I played, high hopes for the rest of it
Thanks for the video, I forgot about this game, it looks like it's going rather well.

No I dont usually do much with the steam deck until games fully launch
@@MortismalGaming I see, thanks for the response anyway. Might try it out sometime later this year on Deck.
If you don't have Tainted Grail or Tainted Grail Kings of Ruin, they are absolutely fantastic board games.
Had this game parked up since 2023 as it had some pretty bad performance issues for me even on a high end PC (4090 etc). I will probably give it a bit longer but I think this has a lot of potential
This game looks like it'll have just the right amount of jank for my taste. I'll definitely check it out
Got this wish listed for ps5. I can't wait until it releases 👌

The level up screen looks a lot like a souls game
Does this Patch 0.7 also apply for GOG? I am pondering which to get it on. I heard GOG overall is the better to get games on because I was informed that on there, you actually own the game and can play offline?
It should, but it's in early access either way and with this being an offline single player game it's not gonna make much of a difference.
It does. I picked this up yesterday on GOG. The offline installers haven't been updated yet, but GOG Galaxy will fetch the 0.7 patch when installed or updated from there.
@@soullos555 Oh thank you so much for that! I'm going to purchase this right now from GOG. HUGE thank you again.
FOV seems very low....is there a possibility to change it or is it fixed?
Yes you can zoom back quite a lot actually
4:32 Dark Souls, is that you? O_o
Pretty hyped for this game here's hoping it gets released on consoles.
If Skyrim and Might and Magic had a baby
Is the performance fixed ??
I love this game please is it big and cool
What happend to the Tainted Grail: Conquest?
reminds me of Dark Messiah
does its have 3rd person?
They need to add kick
there must be raytracing or fsr 3
Gronk!
2025 😭 I dont know if my "no early access" rule can stay that strong
Swag 😎
Steam deck?
Wish it was on console 😪
Early access is on xbox. Possibly on ps5 too
Please keep me up to date please

free comment.
Hold the skeletons please
Please let me no of early access games like this thanks
oblivion 2
character creation for a game that is only first person....why?
CPDR feels attacked.
@@AyarARJ I hope so
Roleplaying purposes? I'm not sure but it is definitely expected from an RPG in the year of our lord 2024/25.
Cutscene maybe
Cause you can see your character in your inventory
Got excited, then I realized it wasn't the card game.
Good luck to the devs tho
might consider to pick up i like Arthurian legends
