29:04 I was literally just thinking about this yesterday, I came to the conclusion that Luz would be considered a Wizard. There's a few different kinds of magic-using classes, Wizards gain their magical abilities by studying magic (which is why their spellcasting ability is INT instead of the usual WIS or CHA) and using magical components (Glyphs are a pretty similar parallel actually) or an arcane focus (wand or in Luz's case, a staff) as opposed to a Sorcerer, for example, whose magical abilities are innate and they can just cast spells with their hands (like the Witches having bile sacks)
If Raine and Eda were to go to a musical, it would totally be Wicked.
Also, BtVS reference, I could totally see Raine drinking coffee at the CATs meeting and saying “tea is soothing. I wish to be tense”

as for Luz DnD class, to expend a bit on it since "mage" isn't a class in 5e, the most obvious would be Wizard (a magical using class that, unlike the sorcerer who are born with magic, need to learn their spell and use a spellbook) but I could honestly see her as a warlock with the Titan as her patron and pact of the familiar for stringbean
I feel like my trolley problem question may not have fit the vibe of the video, but you saved it by having Lilith do a wicked jump on an ice ramp

What Odalia does in a burning building would depend on if it's HER building.
Because sure, she's got keen self-preservation instincts, but she's also a pretty capable witch and abominations seem like they'd be good at putting out fires. However, if it's not her building, it's not her problem, so she'd just leave in that case.
I mean, honestly, do any of us actually have any doubts as to whether or not Alador has ever set their house on fire?
In addition to all the praise I've heaped on your collabs in the chats already, one additional thing I wanna mention is that I really love that the videos still feel like your own, respectively. As a specific example, the greyscale preview here in Mosco's video!

Re:DnD: I don't know of a class called Mage, but Luz's magic is somewhere between Wizard (knows a little bit of everything) and Bard (offensively weak but nimble and supportive). I think when it comes to what Luz would play in DnD, she would want either Warlock (the most witchy class) or Sorcerer (the one that gives me the most Azura vibes).

I have to be a pedantic nerd here: In pathfinder the arcane casting classes are: Sorceror (they get magic from their bloodline and tend to be really strong with a smaller number of spells), Wizard (have access to a HUGE variety of spells they can get very creative with, probably what Luz would pick), Witch (get magic from making deals with extra-dimensional beings and are kind of like a mix of a wizard and cleric plus some extra 'witchy' stuff)

For the D&D question, definitely wizard but if we go Pathfinder 2e she could be a witch since they get their power from their familiars which fits even better now.

hot water club ftw haha, also man i wish i had thought of this, this is so much fun with this cast, and with the reactions from you two it is perfect lol, im dying over here. also chiming in on two that i think you had good ideas on but i instantly followed the line on it a little:
1. i think Lily would go for baker's ultra dark raspberry chocolate (or blackberry when she really needs it) that she turns into hot cocoa with toasted vanilla hand cut animal (well palisman) shaped marshmallows on top with a drizzle of cinnamon and chilli dust honey. or, when its too hot for cocoa, spiced raspberry dark chocolate with a rich, tart, jammy red wine.
2. i feel like Gus would go for somethig like a mandarin segments and beet slices pizza with non-sharp varieties italian trio cheeses or blue bre mix and garlic white sauce in the end, he sort of has that loves sweet but craves earthy vibe along with the mellowness. can't see him being too big of a meat guy.
p.s. just remembered my thought, Camilla would definitely be an RPG player, but probably the startrek rpg that definitely exists for her show

As to Luz's DnD class - I would think a Sorcerer with the Wild Magic subclass. Essentially whenever they cast a spell there is a chance for a number of random events to occur on a d100 roll.

I don't think I've thought about my top five characters... I know the my top three are the main characters: King, Luz, and Eda, in that order. Apart from them, Lilith, Camila, and Gus come to mind as characters I really enjoy... I don't know, though.

I think Luz might be a Bard. In 5E at least they can learn any kind of magic through Magical Secrets, and Luz is also very performative with a flair for the dramatic, so it seems to suit her. Then again, since she can do magic for real now maybe she'd be drawn to a non-magic class like Rogue or Barbarian.

Luz's favorite movie would probably be a big fan of the X-Men Movies. People with random abilities, always feeling different, wanting to belong, fighting antagonistic forces for a better world? She would love it! Plus with how she loves fantasy books convoluted backstories, there is no group in fiction with a more convoluted history the the mutants of Marvel Comics.
Sounds like Morgan has lots of things to react to.
Luz would be a multiclassed Human in 2nd edition. (against the rules).
