So we warned the crew and settled for The Long Wait! But can you believe it -- he was only 15 minutes late!
You have to see Govinda and his wife Sunita together -- they're both made from the same mould! -- and it's a laugh a minute! I love seeing couples who are so comfortable -- and irreverent -- with each other!

I have always been a huge Govinda fan. Honestly after watch watching Simiji's show, I can't watch any other talk shows, and I don't watch them at all. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Look at the body language of Govinda jee... How gentle and calm ! A host plays a major role to set the tone and ambiance of the show. I miss these golden old days where everything was soooo graceful and elegant. No loud laughter.. no cursing.... No meaningless talk... Deep conversations ... There are so many things to learn from these interviews. Stars sharing life lessons with respect and humility. Amazing

Great actors rarely pretend in front of any camera. Someone like Govinda isn't actually "Acting" even in movies. He is just being in the moment and letting his mind and situation decide for his character. I guess that's why we love him ❤️🙏

Time and once again I am back to Simi Ji's feed I might have been a toddler when this was aired. But I subscribed to 90's actors for how relatable they were, now as I watch this. The decorum and the way they were care free is something I feel a miss in today's date. I'm in search for a life partner but this element of understanding and sense of humour is so pure. And my new favourite thing is Simi Ji's crinkled giggle and laughs. What a woman!!! Govinda sir has been the epitome of light feet (i.e dance) and humour of an era. No one can match mimic or remake it. I'm sad my favourite actors have ripened to a certain age and when they look back at their interviews or interaction out of the chat show with simi ji it might bring them such warmth that media actually treated them as performers and a mutual respect that is so rare. God bless all three of them. His outlook on ambitions really speaks volumes to how he didn't submit to the rules of industry which I wish could show to few artists who are not among us today unfortunately. This MO of life could maybe or mostly save someone's peace of mind or life actually.

In this interview he spoke so lovingly bot his mother, her struggles, he has a solid companion in Sunita. After 18 yrs of marriage if a couple can joke n laugh like this, I think we all can learn a lot here. How beautifully he uses humor n philosophy to answer questions bot rumors, his initial phase in industry, his courtship. Kudos to Govinda for speaking in Hindi. Khuda kare aapka sitara buland rahey. You’ll always be our Entertainer Number 1.

Govinda knows english but he is more comfortable with hindi. So wts the big deal... English is not God.. It can't define our character... Amitabh bachan knows english bt he talks in hindi.. Unlike some boastful heroes and heroines.
This is hands down the best episode of Rendezvous ! I never enjoyed any interview like this. Simi ji was in tears of laughter. Best part was Sunitaji saying to Govinda, "Don't laugh or I'll speak the truth....!!"

When Govindaji uses the word "Struggle", one can actually relate and understand. The look in his eyes and the way he refers to his mum. Blessings of parents, specially the creator is probably the biggest factor that influences an individual and help him/her during the darker days in life ensuring the individual does not get astray.

Every couple is different, every relationship is different. The interview with the Bacchan family started cringy but by the end I felt the family loves each other and are humble.
Didn't feel for a moment that, Simi was interviewing a brilliant actor...Govinda comes off as such a simple & humble guy, so does his wife !
His mom was so wise... How his every answer begins with "Mummy kehti thi"... and such words of wisdom....
Still Watching it in 2020 gives u a breath of fresh air so real so genuine they are.

Not if compared to Neelam. His mother wanted a desi girl, easier to control. Neelam was more equal to his stature. Sunita can't equate to Neelam's class. You can see in the videos where she's dancing vulgarly with people recently in a party!

Easily the funniest chat I've ever seen in India - the fact that Simi was wiping away tears of laughter (which has never happened before or since on the show) is testament to how genuinely hilarious this duo were/are. Looks fade, money comes and goes but the warmth and humour is forever. Bless these two.

I have seen almost all the episodes this by far is the best episode , nothing more attractive then simplicity and genuineness and the love Govinda has for his mother is so warm ... Thank you Simiji for taking this interview in Hindi one can understand yours was an English program on a English channel but whats the point in it if that makes ur guests uncomfortable ...we see that a lot happening nowadays with some idiot journalists trying to splash their english to actors like Nawaz or more who are not comfortable with it... This was Natural & awesome.
I just can't understand why Govinda couldn't succeed as much as Sharukh or Salman have, since he is so multi-talented more than the 2 Khans! He was a total package-he could easily carry off any role be it the romantic or the angry macho hero with such ease. He was so funny in comedy roles too and what can I say about his dance skills? Too good for words, simply love watching his dance moves. Clearly, he is the Hero No. 1 of Bollywood🤩👌👍👏 And what I like the most about Govinda is his humility and no pretense attitude 😘 And I find him so sweet when he speaks English😘😍🥰❤

to be honest he was good in comedy but for the rest he was okay. His movies and acting have not aged well, while srk has continuesly evolved his films, messages and acting. Govinda still wants his: guy haresses girl until she falls in love films, which are cringy all together but when a 50 plus does that to a 20 year old its an embrassement. Also as you can see from the description, he was not really professional, he would always come late by 4 hours. That is horrible for the directors and prodcuers who have to pay the whole team per hours, imagine the costs! For Salman, he was very handsome in his youth and still many women are in love with him and many men want to be ''macho'' like hime, so I guess that has paved his path....
Because Bollyweed has been a crazy place, they never recognized the talent of real and great actors, they've always pushed and promoted actors who they thought could speak Good English, who were associated with drugs and underworld. Govinda was never into such things and as far as acting is concerned no Selmons, Shahrukhs or Aamirs could've ever matched Govinda in any role. Only if Govinda was offered those movies, he could've acted much better.

I always thought exactly like you. I have admired Govinda since "Jeete hai shan se" and loved watching his movies and regard him as the best but, after all these years i feel that govinda was underrated and overlooked by the big directors and producers, he never got to work with big banner names and his true talent as never been shown also he himself as chosen to do some bad films, Govinda has been stereotyped and labelled as just a great comedian and dancer but the fact is hes an all round great actor. He as made a name for himself and is respected highly in the film industry but still i think Govinda has a lot more to give.
