Hey man glad that it's helped to a point. I tried turning on that setting as I haven't really messed with it. It looks like that is the steering assist but funny enough when I turned it on with my settings it was undrivable for me. I'm actually super surprised that you were able to drive with it on. That being said, are you running the same tune as well? If everything is the exact same, I would imagine that the biggest thing would be to make sure you are driving in 3rd gear (at least with my settings) Then if you are still spinning in 3rd I think it's going to be a combination of throttle control and braking. I'm trying to figure out how I can help people struggling, I might be making a more comprehensive driving video and not just the settings series I have been doing so far
Just got my first wheel ( Logitech g29) I feel like this is a lot more difficult because something is wrong with my settings like every time I try to turn it’s like the game just purposefully makes my car countersteer itself even tho I have steering wheel assist off
Sorry for my delay in replying here, I'm going to load into CarX today and see what that setting does exactly. I believe that enabling the "wheel as controller" turns on assist, but I didn't want to comment before I verified it. I'll follow back up with this after I mess around with it
Hey man, just following up with this comment as promised. I tried turning on the "wheel as controller" on stream this last weekend. Honestly, it made my car undrivable and I lost a lot of responsiveness when I was sliding. I'm assuming that this turns on the assist on wheel which is why it's getting some suggestions from others. That being said, I think a lot of people misunderstand that when you are drifting you are steering/controlling the car moreso with your throttle and front brake. Your wheel is more of a 'micro' adjustment but from some of the feedback I've been seeing in the comments and also watching some people struggling on stream, it seems to me that a lot of people are trying to force the steering of the car with the steering wheel. I'm thinking that maybe I need to make a video explaining some of these concepts and showing them in practice to help a bit more past just the settings themselves
I feel like my wheel loses force feedback when im going for a transition or just turning have no idea why have had no problem with assetto or any other game please help
Any idea on how to connect a shifter? It shows my wheel and pedals but no clue on how to set the shifter. Tried mapping the gears but doesn't put anything in. I'm using the logitech g923 with a modified aikeec 7+ splitter shifter. It works with american truck sim just not carx.
Hey man, great suggestion and I will do another one of these videos with the new update. I have some concerns since a lot of people were reporting FFB issues with the PTR as well as generally some changes for steering wheel. But yeah will do!

Sorry I guess this comment got lost in the sauce. Did you figure this out or no? I had something similar happen to me when I had the RJ12 cable disconnected from my pedals. Essentially it looks like a phone line cable. I was really surprised to find this out though since I thought you could just plug the wheel and pedal base in to the computer directly with just USB but without that cable I was having a similar experience to you.
Sorry guys I'm new here... I just bought a thrustmaster TMX wheel for my Xbox series x to play DriftX on but I can not get the game to recognize the wheel. The wheel self centers when plugged in but the game does not see it. Can you only use a wheel on PC or am I missing something? Thanks in advance!
That is very strange.. I'm not super familiar with console since I'm on PC but I did some digging and found some information that might help. Load into CarX with your controller connected and go into a practice mode (any track) Disconnect your controller by turning it off Connect your wheel to your console and let your wheel self calibrate Once it's done self calibrating press A to continue Let me know if that works or not, if it does I'll make sure to help other people that ask with the same issue.
I'm pretty sure that the t300 is gear and Logitech is belt so you do have the setting right for acceleration. I don't personally own a t300 but I do have a t150 and my friend has a g923 and the belt is as loud as my parents celebration after leaving me at the adoption center (T150 is gear drive and g923 is belt drive, I would assume the better model of the thrustmaster wheel would also be gear drive as it's more responsive and quiet)
Hey thanks for commenting! After your comment I did some research and it looks like the T300 is belt driven. The point you made on it being quiet is true though, which is why I wasn't sure if I was accurate. Also the adoption part of this made me laugh out loud
Yeah the first car you get on carx is honestly a nightmare to drive. Once you get the ability to get the turbo and drift tunes it will drive better. I'd recommend leveling up so you unlock the ability to get the ultimate tune and customize it

do any of yous know why my car randomly turns the opposite direction while drifting and then spins me out? i got a g29 on ps4
It's just the counter steer. Need to try and catch it before it oversteers to the next turn..
You need to add assist or use a guide with no assist g29 setups

Sorry for the late reply, but yes I believe this will work for any wheel. These settings were based off my T300
