      Well its in. But I started messing with the settings and got it all screwed up. Last night my wife saw me messing with the settings. She took the remote and i don't know what she did but I woke up pain free. The first time in a long time.

    This video was very helpful since I will be having a test done on Monday. I guess I don’t be listening totally to my physician when I’m in the office. I ready for my life back. Thanks!

    I have been taking pregabalin and baclofen daily for well over a year. Still have nerve pain in right foot backs of my legs and lower back. To the point I can not walk in the grocery store. Foot just herts. I was very active and now I am limitted.

      See if your doctor agrees with a stimulator trial

      I am having the trial procedure of this Nevro device on Monday August 5th, I am a candidate in a Nevro research study for my Neuropathy in my feet, so am mostly excited about having this trial procedure done.

      Im getting my Nevro HFX on 11/14/24. I'm scared to be honest. I had a failed lumbar 4-level fusion back in 2016. My pain is in lower back and upper hip areas, plus middle pain from weak back muscles.

      @@ellenknell9645you will be glad you have it done. I had the device implant on September 17th, 2024, and have about 2 more weeks before I can do any twisting or bending ( like touching toes). They told me basically tak it easy for 8 weeks which Nov 12th will be my 8 weeks since implant. My pain level today I would grade justunder a 3. With 10 being the worst pain. Day of implant I graded an 8. The Nevro rep calls me every other day to see what pain level I am and she makes adjustments from her lap top while I turn on the remote for my device.

    I got neuropathy from Levaquin but initially it was in my legs and years later it spread into my upper back , neck and stomach/torso region. I was considering this as a last resort if my nutritional IV's , IGG infusion, and other couple of medications i wanted to try dont work. My pain is so widespread not sure if it will work for me. Im circling the drain i think at this point.

    I’m having the implant 8-28-24
    If anyone has it how long did it take to get off high dose pain medications?

    I’ve had a scs and all the stimulation went down my legs. I had it taken out during scoliosis surgery. The current pain Dr. I have said my pain is coming from the Superior Bilateral Cluneal nerves. I had a nerve block injection there and I had a great weekend with minimal pain. Would this cover the peripheral nerves?

    • @DrEdwardSRubin
      @DrEdwardSRubin  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Peripheral nerve stimulator along the top of the hip will cover superior cluneal nerves better. I like SPRINT for these.

    I had my Nevro implanted 11 months ago as a replacement for a St. Jude device that quit working. Now after 11 months this Nevro device is no longer offering any relief what so ever. When I had the Nevro implanted as a replacement. The Dr kept the electrodes that where already in place, instead he used the Nevro adapter to connect to the battery unit. I don't know why at this point my device is not working anymore, could you offer any explanation or guess if WHY???

    Can my husband still use a welder if he has an hfx stimulater implemented?

    • @DrEdwardSRubin
      @DrEdwardSRubin  11 วันที่ผ่านมา

      In time, yes. However, I would restrict from doing any heavy lifting during the 5 day trial and for first 6 weeks after a permanent implant

    Would it work on a severe ankle issue?

    • @DrEdwardSRubin
      @DrEdwardSRubin  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yes. Ankle pain could be covered by spinal cord stim. Insurance many not cover for ankle pain per se, but “neuropathy in foot and ankle” or “complex regional pain syndrome” would be covered diagnoses

    Would this treatment be effective for Diabetic nerve pain affecting the upper arms and shoulders

    • @DrEdwardSRubin
      @DrEdwardSRubin  ปีที่แล้ว

      Spinal cord stimulators can be implanted in the neck to cover the arms. Not everybody does neck stimulators, though. You would need to find someone who does them.

    I have severe spinal stenosis which precludes me from walking any distance. I go a couple blocks, and I get pain usually middle of back like someone is putting a fist in my back. Would this work for stenosis? Steroid shots not working anymore. Can only take limited anti-inflammatory meds because they were affecting my kidneys. Also, I listened to a gentleman who had a high frequency model, and he said he didn't have the tingling sensation like you get in a low frequency one. Is that true with this model at high frequency?

    • @DrEdwardSRubin
      @DrEdwardSRubin  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      High frequency stimulation does not produce tingling. So you feel nothing, just pain relief. I usually would try the MILD procedure first for the stenosis before I went to spinal cord stim

    I have a medtroinc pacemaker. Can I get an HFX stimulator for upper back and neck pain

    • @DrEdwardSRubin
      @DrEdwardSRubin  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would get clearance from cardiology to make sure you are not pacer dependent. If not pacer dependent it can be done, but not every doc will feel comfortable doing it
