I agree 100%! I think this whole song… from every piece of instrument (and even lyrics) and the way it was arranged is a masterpiece. I feel it’s very underrated in the music world in general. I agree, and do feel it’s one of the greatest solos ever. I’m a drum guy, and I could never get tired of listening to the drum track. The live versions of this song (especially the ones from the ‘90s) were even better than the original version. This song just gets you movin’.
Sammy's vocals are stratospheric on this but the music going on under it all is absolutely amazing! Thanks for this version where you can really hear and dissect what makes this a great song

This was the 2nd rock band I met, I told my colleagues that I hated rock… but when I heard "Jump" for the first time, I took back everything I had said bad about it.
This is really cool. One of my favorite songs ever (not just VH), and although Hagar's vocals and performance on this are amazing (especially when you hear the story of how Jones got it out of him), with the music alone, I can actually almost imagine Roth singing something over it, maybe something along the lines of some of his later-80s work like "Skyscraper".
