Poor oul' AJ - never easy getting old. I genuinely couldn't see the appeal in the stone walls until you cleaned them out. Amazing to think that they have stood for maybe 300 years and seen 12-15 generations living under the roof. Great to see the history revealing itself.
What I like about you guys is you're fearless. It can be so daunting to tackle projects from the outset, particularly if it's a first time. The beauty is that , once completed, you feel a huge sense of achievement. Great energy again guys. 😎🇬🇷
Your ivy is really good for the wildlife too Lou, I also get moaned at for keeping mine wherever I can. Just a suggestion...How about putting up a trellis on the wall for the ivy to grow up, Instead of letting the ivy grow back on the wall? The tendrils will grip the trellis instead of weaving their way into the crevices of the stonework and damaging it. All the beauty without the damage.
@@campervibe it probably sends some side shoots behind the trellis and binds everything together, ivy is sneaky, blink and it has grown where it shouldn't be
I absolutely love what you two are doing to your cottage. It is no easy thing. I can sympathise with how much work you have done and have still to do, as i've done very similar on my previous old cottage in France a few years ago. The effort to do it correctly is so worth it. Poor Ole AJ. I feel for him. Hope he gets better soon and is back to running all over that gorgeous yard of your's. I'd love an old stone house and once it's all done it will last for donkey's years. Costly to do it right though, but well worth it in the long run. I miss the inuendos, but in the effort to get your house done you do right to focus on the objectives.
Librela ( sorry rubbish spelling) has given our old boy a new lease of life, our vet here in Spain gave him it and it is awesome. Hope he feels better soon xx
My dog has been on that here in Spain & the initial months looked promising. Now after nearly a year it doesn't make much difference at all. So back to the vets for something different.
@derekmorgan3706 my dog was on it for 9mths then it seemed to stop working. On the advice of a vet who's own dog was on it & found this worked for hers, I gave it a 2 month break & then re-started it. It was re-started at the actual dose for her weight of 20kg (the vials are weight ranges eg she had a 10-20kg dose which worked out as 0.5mg/kg but the dose range can go up to 1mg/kg so we moved her up to the 20-30kg dose & it started working again and she has been fine since 🎉. It literally is a life saving drug for her because she's on all the other painkillers she can take. I know they can develop antibodies to it which can reduce the efficacy of it also. Sorry if this sounds like a lot of waffle but I wanted to tell you incase it's an option for your dog if other options are limited like they were for my dog. In any case, I hope you find something that works for your dog 🐕
@@derekmorgan3706 that’s a shame, I think the first month was an amazing difference but I can tell each time he starts to need it again and it’s always an improvement , I think Jaspers been on it for 2 years now. I hope you find something that helps your dog and that AJ continues to feel better. I hate seeing my babies getting older.
Librella has done our Shep so much good, it's knocked a couple of years of his 13 years. We do notice the difference inthe 4th week of the injection cycles when he starts limping again and has reak difficulties getting into the truck.
Omg you gotta come visit me with your camera, I've seen a black fox in an area beside me who I think had had at least one baby who is also black. Each time I see them I never even have my phone on me to capture them! But they are magical 🥰 PS I'm in Ireland so we're definitely neighbour's cause no where in Ireland is that far away! 🤣
We have a 13 year old lurcher who's on Librela once a month, our vet swapped him onto it from Cartrophen and it seems to work well for him. Irish vets are awesome, the better half and I moved from the UK to Ireland (east coast rather than west coast like you guys) 19 years ago and have never looked back. Fingers crossed Librela is as good for AJ as it's been for our auld boy.
Love a bit of innuendo, so it’s always good to keep your ‘Nook and Cranny’ (rhyming slang)😂😂 clean. Love to AJ & Summer keep it up girls you’re almost there 😱🤪😭😂😂😭
Love the results of your hard work raking out the joints in the gorgeous stone walls. As a building thermal performance consultant, I would suggest choosing the internal stone wall to be left unrendered . And for the external walls to be repointed then framed out for insulation and wall lining. You want the office to be a warm spot to work from. Cheers from Tasmania 🍎
I had a outbuilding the same size as yours. I gave myself a week to rake out the rubbish and another 2 days to repoint with lime mortar. It took me a month. I had raked out too much and the mortar fell out of the gaps as the stones were round so the mortar slipped off. Needed to push lots of small pebbles in to keep in place. Shoulders ached for days but really really pleased with the result. Small wins. Keep at it you are inspirational.

No way, a black one shut up 😮
😂😂 I know right, it’s all pretty close
My 17 year old dog had Lobrella and it worked so well for him. ❤❤❤
All the best to dearest AJ...
You girls are nothing short of amazing. You'd put two blokes to shame, no question! Very well done.
Thanks and he is doing well
As Jon boy would say from trueblue travellers the Makita blower.. 'h'andy bit of kit for the workshop ' 🤪🤣
That vet visit in the US for my Labrador would have been a grand probably 😢
So happy to see how things are falling into place for you x
We have a 13 year old lurcher who's on Librela once a month, our vet swapped him onto it from Cartrophen and it seems to work well for him. Irish vets are awesome, the better half and I moved from the UK to Ireland (east coast rather than west coast like you guys) 19 years ago and have never looked back. Fingers crossed Librela is as good for AJ as it's been for our auld boy.
My old man husky (13yrs) is now on librella and it's made a huge difference. I hope it gives AJ some respite, comfort and a new lease of life
Love a bit of innuendo, so it’s always good to keep your ‘Nook and Cranny’ (rhyming slang)😂😂 clean. Love to AJ & Summer keep it up girls you’re almost there 😱🤪😭😂😂😭
Well done ladies, hope AJ feels better soon, I had acupuncture for my geriatric diabetic cat, helped her immensely. Lovely to see Summer snuggling ❤🐾🐾

You guys make a good team hope aj gets better soon 🙏
Love the results of your hard work raking out the joints in the gorgeous stone walls. As a building thermal performance consultant, I would suggest choosing the internal stone wall to be left unrendered . And for the external walls to be repointed then framed out for insulation and wall lining. You want the office to be a warm spot to work from. Cheers from Tasmania 🍎
Stirling effort Girls your doing a Mighty Fine Job there, give yourselves a pat on the back
I had a outbuilding the same size as yours.
You girls make me smile with how much you love your new home keep up the great work 😊
